2016 Automation Chicago Auto Show [Results]

For a while it was uncertain if IMP will be present at the 2016 ACIAS, and on the first day it seems that IMP won’t be present after all.
However we are proud to announce that in a last minute decision we’ve concluded that Monolith Motors, our Subdivision responsible for Trucks, Vans and SUVs will join the other car manufacturers after all with their entire roster of vehicles, and we are equally proud to announce that we haven’t been resting on our (Nissan) Laurels.
So stay tuned for our exciting new line-up, soon to be seen at ACIAS.

Solo Motors Co. is unveiling the 2016 Velociraptor AT-X concept! It’s a highly modified version of the 2007 Velociraptor SSM, a unique car in its own right, and both can be compared side by side on the stand.

Let us begin by going back to the 2007 Velociraptor SSM. The Super Sport Model was billed as an off-road supercar that retailed for only $49,105. With AHS steel frame, aluminium body, front MacPherson strut suspension and rear multilink, it was unusual from its basic design. With lots of plastic cladding on the lower body, LED lights integrated into the grill, and high profile tires, it was clear that there was something more to the sportscar body. Add a 6.6L turbocharged V8, a 6-speed sequential transmission paired to a 4x4 system, and you have a very interesting formula. The engine produced 932 hp and 805 ft-lb of torque, enough to move the 1.7 tonne car from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and to a top speed of 345 km/h. That’s right, 345 km/h from a 4x4 for under 50k. The folding hardtop and sporty interior completed the package of a driver’s car designed to go anywhere.

For the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, we decided to bring back this unique piece of engineering and overengineer it. We scrapped the 6.6L V8 and squeezed in an 8.4L V12 in its place, producing 1204 hp and 804 ft-lb of torque. The engine alone is worth millions and was designed for another of our concepts, so this one-off is well above the price point of the original. It’s also been redesigned for a meaner look, including new LED headlights and side-exist exhausts while more focus was placed on the off-road capabilities this time around. 0-100 km/h is now done in 6.3 seconds, however, the top speed is 412 km/h. That’s right, this thing is as fast as a Bugatti Veyron while being able to follow most body-on frame SUVs off-road.

We have absolutely no plans to release this to the public, it will remain a one-off. However, this is a bit of a design preview for a revival of the Velociraptor before the 2020 model year.

Now, for something completely different… I’m sure you’ve all been wondering what concept that 8.4L V12 came from, right? Allow me to present the 2016 Solo Stealth 8400 concept! You’ve no doubt seen some of the footage of it lapping the Green Hell in 6:42.61, and that’s all thanks to the maximum engineering we put into the engine and car design. A lot of downforce was needed for that level of track performance, so the top speed is a mere 388.8 km/h. However, the 0-100 km/h sprint is done in an astonishing 2.3 seconds, allowing for a 1/4 mile time of 8.82 seconds. Pushrod suspension, lightweight carbon fibre body and frame, basic lightweight interior, everything was designed simply for performance on the track.

We will be producing this as a very limited edition track car for $11 million. The 4 examples have already been accounted for.

Airborne Automotive will appear a bit later, we want to take F15 Patricia from AMWEC final to the Auto Show. We’re also polishing our surprise, which is probably one of the heaviest things we’ve ever made.

SELLOUT! You should produce the fastest car you can and not sell it to anybody, just go around trolling in Dubai in it.
That’s the only reason KHT Diabolica exists

Representing IMP at ACIAS 2016 will be Monolith Motors, our specialist for SUVs, off-roaders and utility Vehicles. Monolith is showing their full line-up of Vans, SUVs, Crossovers and light duty Trucks.
The first exhibit is intended as a friendly slap in the face for our american fanbase, as the 2016 Monolith Alpine light off-roader is not sold in the USA due to pedestrian safety regulations. The 2016 Alpine remains unchanged, and so does 114hp 1.5L Inline four petrol engine which enables spritely performance both on and off-road as well as 45mpg combined.http://i.imgur.com/mNNiReJ.png http://i.imgur.com/wUN7eFk.png
The next exhibit is the polar opposite of the Alpine, the 2016 Monolith Jupiter SUV which competes against the Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe. The Truck itself remains unchanged, however it is now available with a new 4.5L Inline six Turbodiesel engine providing the body on frame SUV a significant fuel economy advantage over its american rivals. If six cylinders aren’t enough for you, the existing 5.8L V8 Turbodiesel as well as the 5.9L and 7.5L IMP Bigblock V8 petrol engines are still available, now paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. http://i.imgur.com/b9OBrUA.png http://i.imgur.com/xATrWBY.png
Likewise, the closely related Monolith Artisan also gains the new 4.5L diesel as a mid-range option supplementing the existing engine options ranging from the 2.9L Inline four Turbodiesel shared with the Okavango and Mangone to the 7.8L V12 Petrol found in the Artisan HD. http://i.imgur.com/3g4QBZp.png http://i.imgur.com/FJ3R5Im.png
Another Monolith vehicle not sold in north America due to pedestrian safety regulations is the Okavango off-roader, on display here in “Safari” trim. It too remains unchanged for the 2017 Model Year, the only engine option available is the 2.9L Diesel paired to a six-speed manual transmission. http://i.imgur.com/zrkHmAq.png http://i.imgur.com/v3Iik3G.png
Also on display are two Monolith Mangones, a basic delivery van as well as a luxurious passenger verison. Just for fun we have painted them in very bright colours. Engines remain the familiar 2.9L Turbodiesel and 3.75L V6. http://i.imgur.com/FBjYe4b.png http://i.imgur.com/0CAXBJs.png
The two most important cars however are the facelifted Monolith Neptune and Saturn Crossovers, our best selling models in north America. The larger Monolith Saturn hasn’t been changed a lot, we’ve just updated the front fascia and added a 4.9L V8 Turbodiesel from the IMP passenger car range to the line-up. The base model retains the 3.75L V6 Petrol engine, while the upscale L8 model’s 5.4L IMP Smallblock V8 remains unchanged as well. http://i.imgur.com/ZDoayIv.png http://i.imgur.com/cqmal1j.png The mid-sized Monolith Neptune on the other hand has been extensively updated. Not only has the styling been updated, the old 2.2L Inline four petrol engine from the base model has been replaced with a modern 2.3L Turbo, the 3.0L V6 has also been retired and replaced with a brand new 3.2L Direct Injection engine (actually just a de-bored and de-stroked 3.75). The Neptune range has also gained a new top model with a Turbocharged 3.5L V6, 302hp and AWD. In addition to the new engines and styling the suspension has been reworked as well to improve ride and handling. http://i.imgur.com/1eHqboO.png http://i.imgur.com/pFvLFVV.png
The 2017 Monolith Neptune and Saturn will soon be on sale at a dealer near you.

here is a concept vehicle i made recently, those of you might remember the MKI communitasia whose only real competition was the trabant. well here today, at this auto show, we will unveil one of our concepts for the MKVII communitasia, this is so far the best concept for it we have produced currently. it’s still a traditional comminutasia in the fact it is a manual RWD capable of running on even the poorest of fuels, however, the styling has been massively overhauled, making it a very great looking car, and as for the engine, it produces a modest 115 horsepower, but is completely capable of running on fuel octanes as low as 70 AKI, along with plans to have customer specific engines built designed to run on the required octane minimum the customer provides. so here, i will present to you, the concept of…

ManHell will show the retro model, Fierro RS16.

Solo Motors Co. is proud to introduce the Archanian H.A brand to North America! Known for producing cheap and rugged cars for the Soviet block since the late 1950s, H.A. has remained true to that strategy. With a new factory opening in Mexico, the new generation compact 270 has been optimised for the North American market as the cheapest compact available on our shores! You can get a brand new one for $11,990! The automatic model here will retail for $12,765 and includes alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights.

Another H.A. model that will be launched in North America is the 560, successor to the fabled 550 and 555 that have been imported for decades by offroad enthusiasts. Unlike the 270, it’s a facelifted version of the existing 270 that’s proven itself for most of the last decade. The facelift upgraded it to North American standards, and this trim will be assembled in the same Mexico factory as the 270. It uses the same 1.4L I4 but has a proper 4x4 system. That’s right, at $13,340, you get a large SUV for proper offroading with the kind of money you could have spent on a subcompact.

Well now… as long as it does under 6:30 on Green Hell, it may be worth it!

KHT should totally bulit a road going Diabolica , HELL I AM GOING TO BUY IT.

Oh whoops, I skimmed the post and missed the time LOL. Sorry about that!

But yeah… given the P1 has a rumoured Green Hell in the 6:30s, you’re going to probably be wanting to shoot for around there if you want maximum engineering that really impresses.

Even at ridiculous pricing we would need to sell a LOT of those to break even and not lose any money, and we simply do not have the components. If anything, story wise we only got 60 engines to work with, with 3 destroyed during testing of Sepang, another 2 destroyed by the Diabolica testing, and the rest being used to power road going Sepangs which are in demand, and have been sold out before being built. So yeah, we’d need another engine for this project and going Jaguar XJ220 and delivering different product than one that was promised is a PR nightmare we would rather avoid.

Fear not though, if you can wait a year, GG’ll have something to tickle your “Holy Mother of FXXK” bone

I totally understand you , but KHT to be honest is a capable company , if KHT really can afford the lost of money and bulit a road going Diabolica , i am sure it will make KHT better in terms of brand value which people get to experience it

 shit just got real !

That $13 million price tag is at over 50% profit margin. Because why not make huge profits on a very exclusive car? It may be slower than a P1 around the Green Hell, but it’s ultra exclusive and just for that a few oil sheiks are going to want one  I actually just adjusted the factory to Small 2 instead of Medium 2, so the price tag has been updated to $11 million. Profit margin is also just over 40% now, since I’m going for a nice even number. I can’t wait for turbocharged V12s so I can plop in a 2000+ hp 11.4L V12 into a RWD supercar  I should probably look into tweaking the car further to try for better results.

This is actually a very viable strategy that would work. “Stupid rich” people would shell out any cash to own something that nobody else has.

Like the W Motor Lykan Hypersport. Not the fastest car out there, but only 7, and it includes gold stitched seats and diamond encrusted headlights.

A bit of transmission and aero tweaking and the Stealth now does 6:40.58 around the Green Hell and has a top speed over 400 km/h. I really should take more time tune these extreme cars…

Solo Motors Co. has yet another car to unveil during this show. Unlike the others, this one is a production model…

The 2016 Solo Harrier X. With this generation of the pony car nearing its end, we wanted to close it off with a bang, and the X model does just that. 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds and a top speed of 325.8 km/h from a monster 7.5L V8 making 712 hp and 628 ft-lb of torque. There really is no replacement for displacement. Now, for the best part. After those specs, you must be wondering what that is. Well… this car can be yours for only $42,210. That’s right, supercar performance for a highly attainable price. The X trim will be available at all Solo Motors dealerships this spring. Stay tuned!
