While Airborne doesn’t do any official preview of their Tokyo cars just yet, Madoka Matsusaka herself uploaded a picture of unknown blue car on her Instagram account.

Reactor Research Inc. announces the world’s first mass-produced nuclear fusion engine, which will revolutionize energy generation forever. The i-Fusion powertrain is capable of covering 570.000 miles between recharges, and operates totally free of local emissions. It produces an equivalent of 140kw and needs no maintenance. The i-Fusion range will soon replace the Compaq-iQ series. Larger powertrains with up 15000kw of equivalent power for marine applications are also planned. The first product to reach Showrooms is the F-One compact estate, starting at $19,950.

Montes RXS-6

Finally, here is the new Montes mid-engined 6 cylinder sportscar.

The new RXS-6 generation, like his predecessor, uses a carbon fiber-made body and chassis, with 40% more stiffness than the older one, and changes the old 4.0 inline 6, to a new 3.5l V6. More powerful and lightweight, It gives a better weight distribution, as a lower gravity center.

Available with 2 gearboxes (6-s manual and MDC), and 3 trims: standard, MRP, and MRP Turbo.

Pre-Show
Back in Japan once more, on the agreement with my boss that I don’t go and partake in some rather illegal street racing. No, this time, it’s for the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, the motor show for any company with even the slightest interest in the huge Japanese Domestic Market.

The teasers and reveals have been in full swing, and with the show starting on Wednesday, there’s little else to do other than take a dive in and see what we can expect at this year’s show.


Baltazar have announced a history-packed display as well as a proper reveal of the updated 2018 Quark. More to follow. Airborne followed suit with a similar announcement of two all-new designs, with only one picture of a car to go on so far for details.

The very, very keen AL Autos have posted a large number of teasers through to my inbox, including one of a car call the “Anguis”. It looks very angry and sounds odd, no matter how you pronounce it.

Naturally, on home turf, Saminda poked their heads through the door once more with another concept. We’re still not even sure if they’ve actually released the C2KR, and what about that C5KR from a few months back? Still,
the rumour mill is firmly focused on this car being the reason the Saminda-Maesima sports car project fell through. Drama!

Merciel have teased a new sports coupe-sedan called the JR4. Nothing else to report now other than, like all performance cars these days, it’s blue. It also has a spoiler.

Bonham unveiled the new Fleming, and naturally the whole of SW1 London gasped in shock that they didn’t already have one on order. I don’t really need to report on this do I? It’s another V12 super GT car made in England. Of course it’s going to be good, you dim wit!

Maine launched two new cars, the Imperator and Scorcher. The American brand are updating their luxury Imperator sedan with “70s heritage”, including a big V8 engine choice and a healthy dose of new looks. It’s got just enough vulgarity to make you go “well it must be American”, but also doesn’t actually look that bad either. We can confirm that the entire UK fandom of Bruce Springsteen and Americana music are already asking when it’s coming to the UK.
As for the Scorcher, the new, narrow looks make it feel a bit mixed, though the back certainly has some flair. And of course, being an American supermini, the engine’s are way too big for their own good.

Speaking of American cars, Miller released a car that I’m betting on winning this year’s “Most Perplexing Automotive Ass” award outright. I mean seriously, what is going on at that rear end? It’s like a the original Renault Megane had a love child with some generic after-market lights from the early 00s. Called the J-Series, it’s a very weird looking car, made weirder still by the offering of a 9 speed auto box. Eh? And I’m sorry, but 2.1l of i4 engine should easily be able to make way more than 130 hp. I am thoroughly unconvinced by this whole car.

Hodan announced a new concept - the EV Concept - and a new, homologated version of the Rizun sports car. The EV is a really good looking electric sports coupe kinda-thing that promises the equivalent of 400 hp, though you’ll only get 100 km of driving when it in that power mode. Still, it should a very short lived 100 km.
The Rizun will now be entering into the European GT4 series from next year, with a tastefully homologated version of the car. The big rear wing really just completes the look perfectly.

A whole new company, Reactor Research Inc, have announced a sub-$20k nuclear fusion powered car. That’s right, even JET in Oxfordshire couldn’t have predicted this. A 570k-miles-per-recharge car with, apparently, “no maintainence” required for the micro-fusion engine. How does it work? No idea. The car it’ll be making it’s debut in, the F-One, is compact estate car, making it very accessible indeed. It seems like a miracle. It seems almost too good to be true…

Montes’ new mid-engine sports car, the RXS-6, has been revealed. The V6 powered relaunch of this carbon-fibre constructed machine looks pretty darn fine, with clean styling and some very non-Alfa tail lights that look sweet. More to follow.

Naturally, with the recent release of Gran Turismo Sport, there have been a few Vision GT cars pinned for the show. Kimura revealed a V10 powered, 711 hp, international-collaboration car that seems to be pinned as a major hint at what we can expect from the company’s sportier cars and especially their racing cars in the come years. Contendiente have given us the Esperanza Vision GT 2020, which certainly gets marks for being tasteful, purposeful and yellow. Better still, it’s powered by algae-produced gasoline, with hints that Conte will be pursuing this fuel source in the future.


Well then, it certainly seems the motoring world has learned from its catastrophic teaser period in the build up to the Frankfurt Auto Show, which is good. Roll on Wednesday!

The new 2018 Contendiente Enemigo.

Our sports coupe. Aggresive. Light. Affordable.

Inspired by touring cars and following an angular design, the new Enemigo is striking and aggresive, yet somewhat elegant.

Built on a stiff AHS steel chassis, combined with aluminium panels, and a conservative infotainment system, the new generation of the Enemigo manages to weigh only 1200kg. With a new suspension tune, the Enemigo manages to pull up to 1.20G of g-force at 20m and 1.14G at 250m.

Powered by a turbocharged 2 liter inline 4, making 320hp, we initially expected a 0-100 time of 4.9 seconds; but after some tuning, we managed to get it down to 4.5 seconds. The power is transfered to the ground through the rear wheels, spun by a 6 speed manual transmission, mated to an electronic LSD. This, with a “Contendiente mode” switch (switching the driver aids off), will allow you to have some fun and feel like a real race driver.

And we didn’t forget about including some practicality. You’ll be able to seat 5 people, and to carry 432L of cargo.

The S trim will be sold for only $23000, starting production at the start of 2018.

But that’s not all. We’ll also offer a more sensible trim, with a 120hp, naturally aspirated 1.6L I4. It will be called “EC” and it will be offered starting from $17300.

Zenshi GTX Vision Gran Turismo

Zenshi is well known for applying emphasis on natural performance onto their vehicles. So when it came to designing a VGT, it would be a no-brainer as to what their vision of a car would be: A hardcore track monster.

Using the current-generation GT as the basis, the GTX’s body is composed almost entirely of carbon fibre, allowing a lot of weight to be shed from the GT body.

While it isn’t exactly as technologically bound as other VGTs present in the auto show, ZMD made sure to use an efficient amount of technology to allow the GTX to be a perfectly capable high-speed track star with its abundance of aerodynamic elements and various other components, such as pushrod suspension, transmission, exhaust system, and the engine. Inside the GTX VGT is an advanced version of the AIGCS, which can tell the driver what is up ahead, giving directions similar to that of a co-driver in a rally.

The engine, which is a 4.0L Twin Turbocharged V8, is similar to the engine used on the Seiryu ZMD, given major altercations. The engine makes a high output of 1000 HP and 848 lb-ft of torque, allowing the car to attack the track with ease. The transmission is a heavily modified version of the GTZ 5.6R’s 7-Speed Manual, designed to withstand a whole lot more abuse, as well as be thrown about easier. This combination results in a monster that can hit 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, and top off near 400 km/h.

Two GTX VGTs will be presented on the floor: One with bare carbon, the other with a beloved colour, Ramune Blue Mica.

2018 Contendiente Estrato.

The Conte Pulga’s time is over. Time to move on, with a new model to carry on its heritage.

Edgy, but at the same time cute, and a little bit sporty as well. That’s what we wanted to achieve with this car.

Powered by a 1.1L I3, similar to the legendary 1.1L I3 that powered the original racing Pulga in 1973, which defeated the Maine Motors Imperator 454 at the track, of course suited to your every day needs. A healthy 75hp, mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, will allow you to squeeze 50 miles out of every gallon (4.7l/100km). The power is sent to the front wheels.

A stiff AHS steel chassis, combined with partial alu panels, does not only make this car safe and keeps costs down, but at the same time, allows the car to weigh only 920kg. With all these factors combined, this car provides a fun style of driving, while not being too hard to manage.

This car is basically a practical, fun, affordable city kart, or first car if you’re someone who just got their license. And that’s confirmed by the price: this package can be yours for only $11700, starting production in early 2018.

DiMarino DX8: The Next Generation Grand Tourer

Powered by DiMarino’s all new twin-turbo V8, the all-new DX8 replaces the much-loved but aging DS8 and brings the brand’s top grand tourer up to date. Airborne’s blue coupe is seen doing a time trial on the course. Madoka, who is behind the wheel also finalizes the concept’s tests before it goes to the show. She also has a headset and, as she approaches last tricky segments of the track and passing them by high speed drifting, says:

The DiMarino DE30 Range: A Premium Sedan Built For Drivers

Our latest executive sedan, the DiMarino DE30, is clearly built with the driver in mind, and yet provides reasonable levels of comfort for all passengers, with loads of standard equipment and a trunk large enough to fit all your stuff.

Headlining the range is the V8 S, priced at $59,580 with an 80% markup. This super sports/luxury sedan shares its twin-turbo V8 engine, electronic rear differential, and carbon-ceramic brakes with the DX8 S.

The next fastest trim, the base V8, is no slouch either, but forgoes the electronic LSD and carbon brakes for a mechanical diff and cast-iron rotors, and will be offered at $48,620 with a 70% markup.

Occupying the middle ground is the V6 S, powered by our latest 3.0L twin-turbo V6. In this application it develops 400 horsepower, which should be enough for most of our customers’ needs. At $40,800 after a 60% markup it’s also attractively priced.

Finally, the base V6, starting from $36,750, offers a detuned version of the 3.0L V6. Yet even this entry-level variant is meant for spirited driving, with a viscous LSD helping to put its power to the ground.

All trims are offered exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. 18-inch wheels are a standard fitment on the V6 models, with 19-inch items being optional; however, these larger rims will be standard on the V8 models, for which 20-inch wheels will be available as an option. Other options include air suspension, and exterior and interior colors to sample, the latter two of which will also be available on all DX8 trims.

Rumors are rife that the DE30 will be offered in other body styles - most likely a wagon, but also probably a coupe - at a later date. However, we have yet to confirm this. Meanwhile, a convertible version of the DX8 is planned; if it goes into production, it will be more likely to have a soft top than a retractable hardtop.

2018 Merciel Verona JR4 Concept


With the changing scene in the automotive industry, Merciel are planning to go mostly hybrid on all their standard models such as the Vitesse and the Verona by 2020, meaning the end of petrol only cars for Merciel…

However, don’t despair, since Merciel don’t plan on going without a massive bang.

In 2019, Merciel will release the Verona JR4, the final Verona with the F Series 3.5L inline 6, which was also fitted to the Corsaire GTE.

While the i6 fitted to the JR4 is naturally aspirated, the 3.5L i6 still produces 380 hp. Mated to a 6 speed manual, the car accelerates 0-60 almost as fast as the Corsaire GTE, in 5 seconds.

Inside, the car features Recaro racing seats and a brand new alcantara fittings. The car also features an 4 settings for traction control and launch control. The car also features an active sport suspension. The price for all this, $50,250 making it at least $8,000 cheaper than the M3 for similar performance.

As the Bonham press conference begins, business goes as usual. The new Fleming had been shown in photos over a week before, all the journalists gathered saw familiar shapes from Bonham items underneath the covers.

“Fleming comes with a straight-six engine and a V12. Despite this being the ultimate car from Bonham’s range, we need the straight-six for a very good reason. Fuel economy, efficiency and downsizing are all important, but this wasn’t our thinking. Here’s our reason.”
