Mondo Automobiles at Goodwood. Day 1.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Every coin has two sides. For every beauty, there is a beast.
The other is the pinnacle of civilization. This is a force of nature.

The Mondo E10 Naga.

Fire Breathing Excellence.

Built on the base of Mondo’s flagship, the 6th generation Mondo E10 released in Geneva this year, the Mondo E10 Naga puts performance in the forefront, without compromising the excellent luxury of the E10. Feel the brutal thrill of a supercar without leaving the comforts of home. This is the ultimate highway cruiser for those who wish to be men and drive themselves.

Dragon’s Heart.

The Mondo E10 Naga is the ultimate expression of flagship performance. The elegant cruiser engine fitted in other E10 trims has been swapped in favour of a mighty 7.5L V10, outputting 812hp and 982Nm of torque. As a result, The E10 Naga could reach 100km/h in a mere 3 seconds, topping out at an impressive 359km/h.

Crane’s Poise.

Such power is of course offset by excellent handling, ensuring control at every situation. The advanced tire and suspension setup provide grip matching that of small agile sports cars, while SerbaDrive AWD exploits said grip to distribute every drop of power through all 4 wheels. The E10 Naga’s handling characteristics are further enhanced by an advanced downforce package, planting the vehicle to the ground at high speeds.

Sheep’s Clothing.

Despite the brutal performance, the E10 Naga spares equally little in creature comforts. The interior is equipped with plush leather seats, with various electronic functions and a bucketed form to maximize comfort and safety. Carbon fiber or brushed aluminum may be fitted as interior trim, providing an air of sportiness. SerbaConn AI is available as with all Mondo E10s, accessible through the curved full-dashboard touchscreen display.

Lion’s Grandeur.

The exterior of the Mondo E10 Naga is no exception from the Mondo staple of expert craftsmanship and design. Each face has been altered in ways that convey the power within, as well as considering functionality.
Larger vents are installed on the front and sides of the E10 Naga, allowing more optimized breathing of the engine and brakes. They also function aesthetically to increase the sense of brutality and sportiness of the E10 Naga. The rear is now equipped with several functional aerodynamic elements, such as the rear diffuser and wing. To finalize the look of the hulking performer, trim pieces on the E10 Naga are in carbon fiber and piano black.

广州红湖 (Honghu) - 8^8

The Honghu 8^8 grand tourer has been redesigned for the 2020 year, now with a hybrid motor to accompany its twin-turbo V12. Keeping the brand's spirit of elegance alive, the new 8^8 provides both superior comfort and driver excellence to the user.

Design

The 2020 refresh of the 8^8 gives the super grand tourer sharper edges, with its sleeker, more low-profile front fascia and low-slung rear design. The grille is now illuminated, reflecting the hybrid powertrain it now possesses.

Performance

Thanks to Honghu’s new experimental hybrid drivetrain, the 8^8 now makes an estimated 1200 hp (ICE and electric motor combined) and pulls itself to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds. The fixed wing has now been replaced with an active assembly, which helps pull the Honghu through corners at 1.23g yet helps it achieve top speeds higher than any Honghu made.

Safety

Safety was a major concern in the previous generation model. Fortunately, the 8^8 now uses the same Honghu safety architecture seen in current Jinhes, including the AR assistant, active collision avoidance system, and the rest.

The new 8^8 will be running on the Goodwood hill climb. Make sure to catch it there!

新的8^8将在古德伍德山上运行。一定要抓住它!

It ran a 0:49.34. Cool.

Don’t forget to check out the Kimura sculpture, celebrating 70 years of rich history.

For 2019, Kimura commissioned artist Juliana Di Nicola to create a sculpture to capture the essence of Kimura’s past, present, and future. The 2018 Kimura K-F18 Formula 1 car lies on the left, whilst a 2019 Kimura Helruna KR-R sits upon the right. Both were bred by many, many years of motorsport history, including rallying, touring car racing, Super GT, and Formula 1. The two strong lines are connected by a simple curve that emulates the overall silhouette, representing Mount Asahi - the highest mountain in Hokkaido, the birthplace of Hokkaido Motor Company. The shape’s silhouette also resembles an H, an allusion to the company’s original name before being changed to Kimura in 1963.

Enjoy the show, and watch for Kimura’s cars to be out on the hill climb soon!

In this years Goodwood Festival of Speed, Anueis managed to join the event and is seen that they brought more than one models, including a van…

First off, the carbon fibre shelled saloons are shown there.

Reportedly, a bright orange painted Anueis FS with a big spoiler appeared in the event alongside with its three other trims; the FS60, FS66, and FS72 Dieu which is the ultra-luxury version of the car. Unlike Rolls Royce showing off their Sweptail three years ago, Anueis decided to drive the Dieu hard on the hillclimb and then followed by the its lesser sisters, the FS60 and FS66. The FS60 is powered by a 650hp V12 Twin Turbo engine, while the FS66 is running at 722hp. The engine of the 66 trim is basically an upsized FS60 engine with forged pistons and a remapped ECU. Anueis also displayed the four of them which allows the public to see what’s inside the car. These Anueis FS is also seen with a revised interior, ditching the very wide and curved OLED screen since it will be unreliable, pricey, and not so easy to use while driving and they replaced it with a smaller screen making the middle screen more like the ones in the Audi A8 instead like Tesla cars had.

The showcased cars are equipped with 28-way heated-ventilated seats with Balinese Massage function, the optional marble slab trim shown on the FS66, the red oak trim combined with the cognac interior on the FS60, and the Dieu equipped with the optional CNC carved teak wood trim which replicates Indonesian carved wood, and the hydropneumatic suspension. It is said that the FS60 will be the base model soon since the MS got the place of the lesser trims of the FS. The FS72 Vivace is somehow nearly the same like the comfort oriented trims but somehow, it holds better at high speeds. The cars interior had carbon fibre trim with wood pattern, just like the one used on McLaren Speedtail. The CEO said, the new FS are quick and comfortable in the same time and they are in par to the supercars with the same price somehow. Anueis wanted to show everyone that you don’t need a stiff, non practical, and two seater just to be super quick. The Anueis CEO also stated that since there’ll be more models which will give more income to them

And the next car, a van… somehow.

Anueis showcased a van with a handmade interior which posseses a retuned C2B-2D35A engine which produces 470hp to all four wheels. It was driven fast, and somehow it doesn’t have a bad handling at all! It drives like a car without that kind of wobbly body roll that typical van does have. Anueis made a van which is comfortable like the FS but is also easy to drive and the driver doesn’t need to worry the van will flip since it has a low centre of gravity, the opposite of the vans we usually find on the road. Other than being easy to drive recklessly, the Anueis FV van setted a time which is faster than many supercars!

There’s also an SUV!

Many of the engines of the lesser trims of the FS are then retune-d and donor-ed to the other models. For example, the Anueis FV van and their new SUV, the MZ. The car which was codenamed ‘Moza’ is Anueis’ other automobile which is the opposite of its class. This bulky SUV drives like a car and is not as wobbly as other large SUVs! The car is powered by the 5.0 litre V8 called the C82 which produces 520hp!

The MZ is now still on development, and the MZ they brought to the show is the MZ50. Even though so, they are also building a compact version of it too with a coupe version!

Compacts

Unlike other manufacturers which shown their sport compact executive sedans, Anueis shown a normal looking Anueis CS in a festival of speed. It looked like it only had different wheels but we were wrong. The 510hp Boxer 6 3.5 litre engine pushes the CS from 0 to 60mph in just 3.7 seconds and handles like how its competitors should be. The Anueis CEO said the CS is not like its competitors which are given aggressive bodykits, stiff suspension, and high price tags. The CS35 is the antonym of them since the CS35 have a luxury interior with luxury infotainment package, and priced as pricey as its competitors. Even though its much heavier if compared to its competitors, The Anueis CS35 can do 1.15g’s on the skidpad.

The Anueis CSes less pricey alternative is the Otnas C-model. And they also appeared in the event… With a generic styling. This Otnas C-model is somehow not trying to be looking fierce or sporty but as a commuter. No one bats an eye until it starts to sing its engine to 9000rpm. The base model commuter which is powered by a 1.8 litre 4 cylinder engine which produces 230hp, is running down from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. The Otnas C could pull 1.05 g’s with it’s standard 235 medium compound tires compound tires which is decent for a commuter sedan.

Leona

!

The last car on the show is the Anueis ‘Leona’ concept which is based on Anueis MS which might give a hint how would the lineup look in the future. The ‘Leona’ also gets some mechanical refreshments and suspension tuning tweaks. The ‘Leona’ is shown with an interior identical to the FS Dieu shown in the event. Anueis also stated that their new cars will have an optional TAG Heuer chronograph dash clock, except the FS where it came as standard. The FS will have various selection of dash clocks which allow buyers to customize their cars, making their FS unique to other FS.

Anueis’ Goodwood Hillclimb timetable coming soon!

Mondo Automobiles at Goodwood. Day 2.

High speed records. Track time smashers. Race cars pulling in excess of 5Gs. They all have one thing in common; they are as much fun as they are difficult things to attain.
We believe that sometimes, driving fun should not be difficult. One should be able to enjoy their vehicle and explore its full potential at their own discretion and limitations. We believe we have created just that; the funnest vehicle that doesn’t want to kill you.

The All New Mondo E2.

It’s Not Hard to Have Fun.

Dynamic Control.

The most fun you could have is had in times when you are in command of the situation. When things go out of control beyond your wishes, it becomes a situation you will not find to be favorable. Thus, our engineering was guided by the goal of maximizing controllability and agility.

This objective is engrained into the Mondo E2 by utilizing a mid engine layout. Such a layout generates more rear end grip to increase acceleration, as well as lightening the front end for a more responsive turn in.

In the pursuit of great vehicular control, tyres and suspension cannot be ignored. Thus we have tuned the car for maximum grip, equipping it with high-grip low-profile tyres and adaptive sports suspension. As a result, the vehicle maintains a constant 1.3Gs of cornering grip.

Another point of focus on the Mondo E2 is the drivetrain. Mid engined rear wheel drive layouts may be extremely rewarding, but mishandling such a beast can be at best unwieldy, and at worst fatal. Therefore, we have tempered and refined the handling of the Mondo E2 by sending up to 20% of the power to the front wheels, balancing the car in unwanted situations.

Featherweight Champion.

The Mondo E2 is powered by a 2-litre twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine, generating 313 horsepower and 283 Nm of torque. While this is not the stupendous amounts of power bestowed upon the gods of speed, it is more than adequate for the Mondo E2, accelerating it from 0-100km/h in just 3.0 seconds. More importantly, this is a level of power not restricted to the gods; all men can enjoy it to its full potential.

One of the ways how the Mondo E2 manages such acceleration despite its power is through weight reduction. The vehicle is primarily made out of lightweight carbon fibre, greatly reducing body weight all the while also improving upon strength and stiffness. The interior is also focused on sportiness and weight savings, with the dashboard and bucket seats molded in high quality CFRP. Touch surfaces are lined with alcantara to increase grip and comfort. In total, the Mondo E2 weighs a mere 926kg.

Form Follows Function.

The Mondo E2 has been styled with a simple language in mind, reflecting its stature as a simple and straightforward sports car. The body is shaped in sleek curves, moulded by aerodynamics to achieve a drag coefficient of just 0.274, despite positive downforce generated by the rear wing and diffuser assembly. This also means the vehicle can achieve a surprisingly high fuel economy value of 6L/100km.

Lights and vents are styled in contrast to the softly formed body with sweeping curves and acute angles, and trim detailing is done in carbon fibre. This provides a slight air of aggression to the design.

Atlas Omega reveal at Goodwood 2019

While not a sports car or even a super car like many come to expect from Atlas, the Omega is no less sporty or performance oriented than any other Atlas vehicle. The Omega combines SUV utility and capability with the heart and soul of a pure bred sports car. The results speak for themselves, with impressive performance figures and quality production.

Atlas Omega S

The base model S comes well equipped with high quality interior and infotainment systems(including limited HUD capability similar to the Cosmos Vector HUD). However, the main feature of the Omega is the QN42 DE motor under the hood. Front-mid mounted and balanced to give the engine a lower center of gravity for improved the handling, allows the Omega S to reach 0-60(mph) in 4.6 seconds and give impressive handling generating 1.17G(with rear wing deployed).

The QN42 should be familiar, its also present on the Quantum line as one of the main engines. In the Omega it generates additional power thanks to an improved exhaust and intake. 488hp and 362LB-FT respectively. This power is put to the ground via the newest version of the edge AWD system and the A94 semi-automatic transmission(with paddleshifters for a bit quicker shifts on track). In addition, the QN42 has cylinder deactivation that works in conjunction with the A94’s eco automatic mode to give improved fuel efficiency after track days are finished.

Cost: $105,000(est.)

Specs:

Engine: 4.2L FSI V8 DOHC Transmission: A94 Semi-automatic(with paddleshift)
Horsepower: 488 hp @ 8200rpm Torque: 362 lb-ft @ 6200rpm
Weight: 4237lb Skidpad: 1.17g
0-60(mph): 4.6s Top speed: 155 mph(electronically limited)
1/4 mile: 13.02 MPG: 17.0 mpg(23.5 mpg with cylinder deavtivation and transmission in ECO mode)

Atlas Omega V

The V model of the Atlas Omega pushes the performance even further than the base model, adding twin turbo chargers to the engine and equipping the F8 Sequential gearbox for quick shifts. Power is pushed to an impressive 668 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. This improvement to performance makes the Omega V the fastest (non electric/hybrid)SUV to date with a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds.

In addition to the improved power, additional aero and weight saving elements help improve the handling and keep the Omega V glued to the asphalt. But not all the improvements in the V are performance oriented, the interior has additional alcantara/real leather and now includes the full Vector HUD. In standard operating mode(demonstrated in booth) shows as a light blue and green accents showing gas, lane assist and blind spot indication. In sport mode, changes to a Orange and yellow accent, showing current HP/Torque and RPM. Finally in velocity mode, it shows as Red/Gold Accent, showing lap time/number of laps remaining, Boost PSI, and shift indicator.

Overall, the Omega V should more than satisfy any performance enthusiast as well as give them the utility they need for everyday driving.

Cost: $135,000(est.)

Specs:

Engine: 4.2L TFSI V8 DOHC Transmission: F8 Sequential Paddleshift
Horsepower: 668 hp @ 8500rpm Torque: 472 lb-ft @ 7000rpm
Weight: 4352lb Skidpad: 1.22g
0-60(mph): 3.2s Top speed: 180 mph(electronically limited)
1/4 mile: 11.35 MPG: 16.0 mpg(22.5 mpg with cylinder deavtivation and transmission in ECO mode)

Fancy a ride around goodwood? Atlas Omega V’s will be available for use on track for the duration of goodwood 2019. Omega(SUV) - V.car (45.3 KB)

The Omega V(with a professional driver) set a 54.24 around goodwood.

1968 Mosport Helix Le Mans

The Mosport Helix was conceived as one of the first supercars, blending Canadian engineering and Italian styling in a sleek mid-engine coupe design. The model was quickly adapted for the Le Mans race and was Mosport’s first serious foray into motorsports. Rule changes for 1968 forced them to abandon Dominion’s 7.3L Chinook V8, which the production model was built around, and replace it with a heavily modified version of the older Confederation V8 to fit within the newly imposed 5.0L displacement limit. This new engine pushed out 326 net hp and 346 lb-ft of torque and while it wasn’t enough to cinch the victory, the Helix still became an iconic car.

This ultra rare #4 car in Sea Fuels livery, one of four known to still exist in that particular livery, will be available for bidding in the upcoming Automation Collector Car Auction to anyone who so desires to own a piece of motorsport history.

Seabeast Motorsports at Goodwood Presents:

The Maladus Twinturbo R

SBM has brought the new LMC Maladus turned high-powered track machine to Goodwood. It’s 5.5L V8 was refined and fitted with turbos to boost power output to 1116 hp. An aggressive aero kit and high performance semi-slicks help the car pull north of 1.4 g’s at speeds. 1/4 mile time is tested to be 9.55 seconds and it’s top speed is drag limited to 215 mph. This is not your daily drivable GT sports car.

Named after the fastest Maladus of the 90’s, the exclusive Twinturbo R is being hand built from the existing M300 Maladus at Seabeast Motorsports. Only 12 will be made, with no two identical to eachother.

The Maladus Twinturbo R runs a 48.33 at Goodwood (total time, idk if thats the one to go by)
Not as fast as I’d hoped but this thing is still a chonker at 3,881 lbs.
