Honghu Press Day 2
Honghu shows off two new vehicles at this year’s auto show, starting with the refreshed 88888888; China’s flag carrier since the 1970s.
As per tradition, the 88888888 strives to be China’s ultra-luxury cruiser, showing no compromises when it comes to comfort. With amenities such as Honghu’s Nimbus Ride Control, rapid heated & ventilated seats with massage, rosewood trim and ruby inserts, the cabin of the 88888888 provides the finest hospitality the mainland can offer. Soft-close suicide doors, flat folding seats, active noise cancellation, and a 15-inch rear seat infotainment system follow as well.
Design
The 88888888’s design now incorporates futuristic, jagged lines; representing China’s rapid innovations in tech. The large chrome grille and red badge stay, as a symbol of the country’s glory and pride in the people.
Pricing
The 88888888 will start at $188 888, with special editions rolling out at $208 888
Honghu 8x8c
Brand new to the Honghu lineup, is the 8x8c; a crossover smaller than the fullsize 8x8, with the same tech and more utilitarian styling.
The 8x8c shares the same technology as the flagship 88888888, but in the package of a crossover. Besides the addition of a picnic set hidden under the cargo area, that’s literally it.
Pricing
The 8x8c starts at $208 888. I don’t know what to write anymore.
