How the Championship Works & Championship Rules

It is very important you fully read and understand the following document at least once. This explains how the championship works, how points are given out, along with all of the rules we will enforce. Please read this before entering any round this season, even if you have entered previous seasons as we have a few new rules, and also skim read this every round for new rules which will be highlighted in blue.

Using public branch until beam exports are fixed and less glitches in automation.

Championship Rules

Please note the 15 place rule for lap time/automation rating this round especially. This stops people building race vans and dominating the drivers championship.

Background to the Round

Imagine this. It`s the 60s and you have no idea where you are, what your name is or who the hell that guy on the other side of the bed is. Why does your head hurt so much? Who is that girl on the couch? Who is that girl cooking beans right out of the can? Who is that girl on the floor? Again, where are you? Anyway, doesn`t matter, because you have a job to do! Of course this is not a real job, but it`s much more important than a real job! You and your friends are saving the environment! You get up, eat some beans, vomit in the sink because those beans have definitely not been refrigerated, light a joint and get in your VW Campervan. You painted it yourself of course, with all your favorite flowers, slogans and smiley faces. The van doesn`t start, because 1. It`s terrible and 2. You repair it yourself, which means you don`t actually repair anything. You ask the guy and the girls to push the van, they half heartedly agree, you imagine that they also have no clue what is going on whatsoever. The van starts, a girl winks, the guy winks too. You`re confused, but happy (and very high). You are on your way to save the world one unleaded liter at the time. Go on you hippie!

Aesthetics Brief

The aim for this round is classic vans! We encourage you guys to build hippie vans, broken delivery vans, run-down campervans, or any other type of van you seem fit. Liveries are encouraged but not mandatory. Get creative!

For every round we want you to vote for the cars between 1 - 10. Please take into account the creativity of the build. In this way we can assure that people don`t always vote for the boring but good looking cars, but creativity is also considered for the builds.

For example, you could ask yourself these questions:

    • Does it fit the round? I.e. does the car fit the brief below?
    • Is it a quality build? Is the level of detailing and fixture work impressive?
    • Do I like how it looks? This final question is where personal taste comes in

#2

This round has a more off-beat theme than the previous one, but whoever enters it should find it worthwhile.

#3

Yeah, we like to keep it varied between some rounds you can easily get good automation rating and lap time, and other times finding that balance is extremely tricky
