Automation Vision Gran Turismo [Outdated]

The Vision Gran Turismo project started with a single question from Gran Turismo founder Kazunori Yamauchi: “Would you design your rendition of the ideal GT for us?” GT stands for Gran Turismo or Grand Tourer (where the game got its name from), which describes a sporty performance coupe.

Many manufacturers accepted our offer, and now there are many “ideal” Grand Touring cars represented in the game. Vision Gran Turismo, which began as project to celebrate the game’s 15th anniversary, continues to bring together the automotive passions of you, the user, and the car companies. The cars have been introduced one at a time throughout the Gran Turismo series, and the project will only increase in popularity as more and more people sample these unique machines.

Hey everyone! I decided that I wanted to make a Vision Gran Turismo thread for all and any VGT cars people want to make on the forums. If you have one you’ve made before but never showcased, now you can!

Remember, this is not a challenge, so don’t feel pressured to make a car better than anyone or make a car at all; not all companies participate, obviously.

Remember to add a date of release for the car. You can make the lore up and say that the VGT was released earlier in on the timeline if you’d like. This thread is for you to show off your cars, so please prepare your post yourself.

Just to remind you guys and give some inspiration for the future Vision Gran Turismo models, here are all the details from the Bonham, as per here.

You’ve seen it at Goodwood and voted for it as the best car shown on the Festival of Speed.

But, in case you missed it, here is an explanation as to what the Bonham Vision Gran Turismo is.

Props to @titleguy1 for the artwork

The Bonham Vision Gran Turismo is what happens when you combine the elements of the great racing simulation and its passion for racing and perfection together with the design team from Bonham, with inputs from Luceat Studios. This low, wide, aggressive sports car is the ultimate expression of the classic 2-seater, front-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car.

Upfront, the car has a 4.7 V8 engine, with 520 hp and capable of revving all the way to 8800 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheels only, through a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, which is coupled to an electic differention. The weight distribution is a perfect 50/50 and, with the all-aluminium chassis and panels, this lightweight race trim weighs just 1482 kg, all of which enables the Bonham VGT to get from 0-62 in just 3.5s and all the way onto a top speed of 173 mph.
