The 2018 ITL Spec-V has been heavily criticized for its poor performance and handling after it had just launch for just a month. Saminda has admit that they get their first Spec-V ‘‘wrong’’ and promise to have an emergency facelift with suspension and engine upgrades.

Now called the ITL SPEC-V (Sport Pckg), Saminda says it will be 20% faster and much more responsive to drive.

It’s still uses the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that puts out 44bhp and 20nm of torque more, from 370bhp to 414bhp.

There are minor changes from the outside too, The headlights have been reworked with new Auxuras ‘‘SmartEYE’’ technology that it can adjust it light based on the road condition/weather, the grille have also been redesigned, with stripe pattern.

‘‘Saminda was born in the racing world, the ‘‘Saminda Spirit’’ will always be here and the 2019 ITL SPEC-V proves it’’ said Eric Ballman, Vice-President of Auxuras Motor Co.

Saminda admit that they get their first Spec-V “wrong”, to have emergency improvement

The ITL Spec-V, enthusiast had such high hopes for it as it’s suppose to return the sporty image of Auxuras of the past. Saminda has admit they get their first Spec-V model “wrong”

Power to weight issue
Criticism of the car from various of magazine mainly is it power to weight ratio with 375hp and nearly 2ton, the car just doesn’t “deliver”.

Motortrend said “The ITL S-V is a disgrace to the CZ6 which it had the same CER series 3.5-liter twin turbo engine, the CZ6 makes 550bhp while the R version makes an impressive 600bhp, almost double of it figure”

Autoguide criticise the car is too heavy for this segment, “The ITL S-V weighs at 1.9ton, with just 375bhp and cost nearly 60grand, a Sachuiri sL200 Sports which is faster and 20grand cheaper would be much better off”

Redline reviews wrote that “We have to admit Auxuras make one of the best AWD system in the market to date, but the ITL S-V just doesn’t corner as fast as you would expect due to it weigh and the body roll is too much consider the fact this is a sports car” they also added that this car doesn’t have the “Saminda Spirit” on it.

Saminda admits the problem
American Saminda Motor Co. have admitted the ITL Spec-V was not a product they should have launched so early, “We have released the ITL Spec-V in a rush and we shouldn’t have done that” said Matthew Roy the managing director

But Saminda denies the engine of being weak like most car journalist said “The power is alright, what we are looking at would be the weigh and suspension tuning issue, the ITL Spec-V should be a balance car instead of a power hungry car” said Matthew

The bad criticism lead Saminda to have a “emergency improvement” by introducing the “Sport Pckg”, it will have dramatic improvements then the current ITL Spec-V and will be release on 2019 as a 2020 model


2020 BTL will come to the US with new face

It will be the cheapest Auxuras offered in US, starting at $25,000

It’s a long time since Auxuras expand it lineup in the US, but now we finally see a new entry level Auxuras coming to the States which called the BTL.

However, it also comes with a history. Designed and built for the Chinese market, it debuted in 2018 and has been a runaway success. Industry watchers have long speculated about whether it would come to the United States, and how it would fare here if it did.

And we finally get it now which Auxuras has confirmed about it. "We want our lineup to go global instead of differentiate it on certain market” said Eric Ballman, VP of Auxuras Motor Co.

The BTL will come with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine or a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, producing 155bhp and 200bhp respectively.

It will go on sales early Q1 of 2020.

The 2020 ETL is the second model by Auxuras to offer it Spec-V marque and is a combination of incredible performance and surprising efficiency.

The most powerful Auxuras sedan, yet
The ETL Spec-V twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 is basically a de-tuned CZ6 engine, it produces 525bhp and 450lb-ft of torque and all that monstrous engine routes power to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Auxuras says the transmission shift as fast as 0.1s

Still Practical
The ETL Spec-V continues to offer decent seating for five adults, and a large 540-liter boot that’ll manage family holidays and beyond with a 40/20/40 split fold. For those needing to tow things real fast, it’s rated to pull an impressive 1900kg.

The new ETL Spec-V is another masterpiece from the brilliant minds of Auxuras.

The 2020 BTL is the latest entry level sedan offered in North America market, it’s the cheapest Auxuras starting at $25,000

The BTL was introduced in China on 2018, however, the 2020 facelifted BTL is designed in North America so the China market has not yet recieve the facelifted BTL.

Cheapest Auxuras
The BTL holds the value of owning a luxury sedan and yet without burning your pocket, but if you go up to the S trim with the 1.5t engine, it goes to just over $30,000.

Engine choice
Either a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated or a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine will be powering the BTL, with 152bhp and 200bhp perspectively, the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is newly developed by Saminda engineers which codenamed RJ series, it’s a replacement of the problematic RE series (turbocharged only).

Auxuras ND350 concept car teased, hints possible new halo car or CZ6 return

DETRIOT, US - Auxuras have teased it ND350 concept car and since confirmed that it will be going into production, however, the nameplate ‘‘ND350’’ could be possible that it might be electricfy making 350bhp or a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine or even a 4 cylinder engine making 350 horsepower. But all of this was just rumours going on since at this early stage of development, it’s not clear what kind of specs Auxuras are working on.

Auxuras say it will debut the ND350 online at the end of april amid the on-going coronavirus outbreak.


I remember the CZ6 from the Kee era - it served as the company’s halo car for over two decades until declining sales forced them to kill it off for good, and it was also at odds with their focus on hybrid and electric powertrains for their future models. Resurrecting the CZ6, or at least developing a spiritual successor to it, would restore some of the sparkle that their current lineup seems to lack.


Auxuras want to return to it roots with the ND350, Saminda will finally be offering new chassis and engines exclusively for Auxuras

The ND350 is not a ressurection of the CZ6, said Auxuras.

The Auxuras ND350 is ripe for a renewal, and this time Saminda’s luxury division is finally putting a halo car on it brand. After decades of utilising off-the-shelf Saminda chassis, Auxuras has finally treated itself with a all new chassis and new engines which will only be offered in it Auxuras brand (we might see more of this new engines on it upcoming models).

Saminda said there will be 2 new engines that will exclusively offered in Auxuras lineup, a 2.5-liter inline-4 and 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine, however, Saminda have not release it numbers yet but we probably would see around 280-320bhp on the inline-4 and around 350-400bhp on the V6

As expected, both of it new engines will first be offered in the ND350

Spec V ND350 confirmed

Auxuras confirmed a Spec-V version will be coming too but did not reveal the powertrain but we can expect it will be using the same 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine on all it Spec-V models but hopefully it produces over 550bhp.

The ND350 is the car concept name, the production version of ND350 is not known yet, we can expect to see the production version by end of this year.

The Auxuras ALX also known as Saminda CR1 in Japan is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by Saminda and sold under it luxury division, Auxuras. It’s exclusively designed for the Chinese market.

The ALX is not a rebadged 2020 Saminda CR1, rather Saminda Japan uses the ALX design as the template for the CR1 sold in the Japan and International markets.

The ALX shares the same engine as the North America CR1, the 1.5-liter RJ15F4 DOHC turbocharged engine that produces 164bhp and 215nm of torque mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)

Auxuras ETL Counsellor is a $65,000 new ultimate luxury ETL, only 300 units will be produced

Auxuras, which is known for its exceptional quality workmanship, is proud to introduce the 2020 ETL Counsellor with the most powerful JA series 3.5-liter V6 producing 313 horsepower, 13bhp more than the standard ETL. It is handcrafted at the Auxuras California Manufacturing Inc.

How special is this edition?
The ETL Counsellor is hand built by the most skillful Auxuras technicians in it finest California Manufacturing Inc., the standard ETL uses a JA35A2 engine that produces 300bhp. However, the Counsellor edition gained 13bhp from it tuned JA35A2 which codenamed now as JA35Z2. Another only Counsellor edition including the exclusive Velvet Red Pearl paint.

Other then the exclusive red paint, it include a new vent design and chrome around the pillar and side mirrors

Inside is the most refine of this vehicle, including red Milano leather seats with Alcantara everywhere including upholstery as well as door panels and center armrest, plus an Spec-V styled steering wheel but with a Counsellor badge on it bottom.

for an ultra lux car that price seems oddly low


Because it isn’t one, that’s just marketing :stuck_out_tongue: It’s a premium midsize/executive/E-segment car AFAIK. Sth like Lexus ES/GS (I’m not sure which one fits more) or Acura RLX.

The standard ETL price ranging from 40-50k, and this is the special edition so it cost around 14k more.

The ETL completes with something like 5 series , E-Class and Lexus ES so 65k is quite a hefty pricetag but it’s limited edition

Next Step : Saminda CEO wants to steer Auxuras into the right path. New engine, platform and manufacturing plant for RHD market, Auxuras will go global by 2025.

Nearly 4 years later with Saminda still battling quality issues, Nagoya will now focus on it luxury brand, Auxuras.

‘‘Auxuras have to be fixed and we do recognize the need for transmformation and innovation, this is not a game of cards, Saminda and Auxuras have to go back to it roots’’ said Nagoya.

Saminda image has been further tarnished by soaring recalls due to engine problems, the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine have been recalled over four time and over 1 million cars was affected. Forcing Saminda to redesign it which replaced the by an all-new RJ Series over the RE Series (turbocharged only).

When Auxuras debut the ND350 and announced 2 new engines that will exclusively offered in Auxuras lineup, it’s the first time since Auxuras founded in 1992 will have it own chassis and engine, Auxuras were all along utilising off-the-shelf Saminda chassis for it line-up.

With also Spec-V marque comeback, Saminda glory days will be back.
