I think thats because you dont really need a radio in a heavy utility, or something like that dunno.
That seems more plausible.

No, the bonus to comfort is far lower than it should be, and the prestige actually decreases. This happens regardless of what the intended market is.
My guess is that the Basic AM radio is outdated in 1975 and is still using 60s values, while “None” entertainment has already progressed to 70s values.
