Car competitiveness/desirability

Hey all, I’ve been playing this game for a long time but I’m not really clear what’s considered a “good” competitiveness/desirability rating. In sandbox my cars average in the low 100s for competitiveness but in the campaign it seems pretty easy to push 200, so it’s somewhat confusing.

What do you normally aim for in those stats? Or do you pay attention to them at all?

100 is ideal competitiveness. Everything above is effectively futureproofing. It really depends how long you intend to sell the car for as if your markets are going to block leaded soon but you have a very successful leaded car, you may as well ramp up the profit margins so you’re just barely scraping 100 until it’s banned.
