Dilessi S.p.A. (578 SE Violento '80 Update)

1955 - Dilessi 346B ‘Americana GT’ $ n/a
346b_1

Description

In addition to the 315B, a rare 346B Americana GT has also appeared this year. This vehicle was built in 1955 once for a Texas oil magnate. At the edge of a vehicle auction, the 315B was found again and bought directly by Dilessi. The purchase price remains a mystery, as well as this restored Berlinetta is not for sale.

The 315B had it already in 1955 superior technology. The small V12 could produce more power than the 4 liter V8 in the 418 and offered at the same time a better aerodynamics and a specially developed chassis. The wheels were guided on the front on independent wheel suspensions with trapezoidal triangular wishbones and coil spring, on the rear of a rigid axle with leaf springs. Braking was all around with Dunlop disc brakes. With a weight of just over one ton, excellent performance was guaranteed.

The seats were comfortable and framed in leather, the windows could be electrically lowered, center console, doors and roof area were stylishly dressed. As instruments built Veglia displays with black dials. A radio and a lockable glove compartment in the body color painted dashboard completed the luxurious appearance. Even the steering wheel was a one-off production.

The experts at Gooding & Company have estimated that US $ 14 to 16 million should be worth the unique sports car today.

1978 - Dilessi 355B ‘Competizione’ $23.300 / 49.100DM / 20.300.000₤ITL
355b_1

Description

The 355B Competizione was the first Berlinetta by Dilessi, which was not a special production. Dilessi remained true to the V12 concept in the small sports car and even reduced the engine for it again.

From only 2 liters capacity, the engineers got out 156 hp, which made the car still accelerate in less than eight seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. But even with the top speed just over 200 km/h, the car was located behind the values of the 346B. Dilessi has deliberately made this choice to make the car more suitable for everyday use and to reduce consumption to a healthy level.

In the interior but nothing was saved again. A high-quality radio complements the luxury of the handmade leather seats. Likewise, the sports steering wheel is perfect in the hand and offers very good grip. In addition to the latest safety equipment, Dilessi has installed a hydraulic power steering system for the first time.

Dilessi isn´t dead yet. I´m still working on my ‘Concetto 1000’ that was supposed to be released this year. After all those game updates i had to update the car over and over again. But as the stats are now fine and quite realistic, i´m just working on the design.

But next to it i revised some cars and also finished some new ones. So let´s start.

Let´s start with the ‘new’ 336. I won´t delete the old pics to this car in this thread, but it never looked good to me. The car stats stayed nearly the same, also i tried to keep the optics. But i used a different model and also fixed some parts to make the car look more realistic. In the end that is much more of what i thought of the car should look like.

The next one is the A1512 GTP. I still had that F1-like engine from the 60s and i wanted to fit it in a car that really deserves that engine.

1965 Dilessi 516R A1512 GTP

1965 - 516R ‘A1512 GTP’ - Priceless / approx. value in 1965: $350.000
516r_1

Description

After Dilessi built the show car 516 Monoposto Concetto, they´ve decided to make a Le Mans Prototyp with the same engine. The Result was stunning and as the 516R was much lighter than the 516, the car was able to be 7 seconds faster at the test track. Also the topspeed, 319 km/h, was way better than the Porsche 906.

The next one is the latest Premium Sports Car of Dilessi. It´s based on the 516, but with many fixes and new optics.

1980-1985 Dilessi 578

1980 - Dilessi 578 ‘SE Violento’ $54.500 / 114.800DM / 47.482.800₤ITL

Description

The 578 gained a lot of length compared to its predecessor and a complete new monocoque. Also Dilessi worked on the reliabilty and even the car gained a lot of weight, it has better stats. Thus results by a bigger engine and about 70 hp and over 100 Nm more. But even the top speed is now much higher and above 300 km/h, the sprint from 0-100 km/h is slower compared to the 542.

The only color option will be Blu Notte.

And last but not least the first Budget Sports Car. It can be compared to something like the Porsche 944.

1981-1990 Dilessi 555

1981 - Dilessi 555 ‘Fazzoletto’ $19.500 / 41.050DM / 16.990.000₤ITL

Description

The 555 is the first Budget Sports Car from Dilessi. Even the car has only 143 hp and a little over 1t weight, it´s still a sports car. The 555 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds and has a top speed of over 230 km/h. At the same time the car costs only about a third of the big brother, the 578, and so Dilessi was able to sell much more cars.

1987 - Dilessi 555 ‘Fazzoletto GTV’ $21.900 / 46.100DM / 19.100.000₤ITL
555gtv_1

Description

The facelift of the 555 is just minimal, mostly just some parts changed it´s color. The big difference is under the hood. Dilessi had to adjust the engine from 98 RON to 95 RON and managed at the same time to gain about 20 hp. At the same time Dilessi figured out to make the car more drivable, feel more sport, comfy, safe and even more reliable. But unfurtonately the car is a bit heavier and needs a little bit more fuel.

PS: I know that are a little bit much cars, but hey, i didn´t posted for nearly 2 years. In the meantime much more cars are ready to release … 11 models and much more specification up to the year 2000. I just need to fix some details as one of the last updates messed up the wheels, gearings and some fixtures.

PPS: Who can i ask to get the right to make a … let´s say 100k character post? I want to keep the opening post as clean as possible, but i reached the maximum of 32k quite often and changed text to pictures. But now there isn´t much more to change to pics.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just link the posts with the cars in the first one? Copying the whole content seems like a strange decision.
