Previous vehicles of interest: I onwed a 65ā€™ Chevelle Malibu SS for many years when I was youngerā€¦should never have sold it.

How did I find you: Googling ā€œcar tycoonā€ type games.

About: 49yo, auto tech for my entire career.

I really like the premise of this game. Would love it if it actually dealt more in depth with camshaft profiles, lift, duration, overlap, base circle, etcā€¦but then it would cease to be a game and become an engineering simulator.

I love it so far for what it is. Looking forward to the tycoon aspect, cuz my designs will stand the world on itā€™s ear!

Cheers all!

Previous vehicles of interest: Had to sell it when the economy tanked back in '08ā€¦ I had a 1973 AMC Hornet Hatchback with a factory 304 warmed up a bit with an Edelbrock cam and IM, bigger carb, and dual Flowmaster exhaust. Would have also had headers if the supposed ā€œsmall car AMCā€ headers that I bought werenā€™t actually large car headers.

How did I find you: Trying to find the old game ā€œDetroitā€ as abandonware. Got bored, looked at the Wikipedia page for it, and found a link to Automation.

About: Casual car-loving nerd who absolutely loves the premise of the gameā€¦ and Iā€™m hoping it takes ā€œDetroitā€ so much farther. Which so far itā€™s doing.

About:

Currently studying economics in France, usually a student at the University of Oklahoma. Iā€™ve been crazy about cars since I learned how to drive. Unfortunately no one in my immediate family works on them, but itā€™s something Iā€™d love to get into someday. Hoping to trade in my Civic for a Miata once I get a real job. I have previous work experience in the automotive sector interning at a tier 1 supplier, and I know many people in the industry. Currently trying to make the most of my time in Europe. Iā€™ve already hit the Paris Motor Show, and have a trip planned to visit the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz museums in Stuttgart. Any suggestion for great things to do in Europe will be appreciated!

Looking forward to talking with all of you, canā€™t wait to start participating in the community.

About:

Iā€™m originally from Northwestern Indiana then moved to Indianapolis to study Motorsports Engineering, though I now study Mechanical Engineering. I build high performance engines outside of school (most notably Chrysler big blocks and Hemis though Iā€™ve piddled with Ford and GM engines as well). I started playing around with cars as a kid on my uncleā€™s 69 Plymouth GTX and then later our fleet of old Mopar stuff. I started street racing right around my senior year of high school when my 1988 Dakota got put together, beat the daylights out of a number of Mustangs then decided to take it to the track when I moved to Indy, so I bracket race here and there.
