The all new Meliora was called “Alba” and it was presented along the Perenne in 1988, both in America and Europe, as a replacement of both the Accolam and the Plaudet (offered from the early 70s). According to Meliora, more models will come soon, and at launch, only 2 models were offered, the 194E (more in the lines of the high end Accolam) and the 264P (more in the lines of the Plaudet).
The exterior design was almost identical to the Meliora V12 concept car, but tuned down for a more friendly daily use (and no V12).
Same as the Perenne, both came with independant suspension all around, and 2 engines were offered, a new 2L L4 with 124hp and manual gearbox and the same L6 from the Perenne Coupé but with a 4 speed automatic transmission. Both offered an outstanding driving, for those looking for a more premium experience, suited for either commute or just drive around town.
