Welp. The cat is out of the box. Gotta do a real reveal now.

FAALdisplay

The Foreia is FAAL’s oldest nameplate, tracing all the way back to 1949 and solid axles ladder frames, and it has never stopped being on sale from then on. Since the 8th generation just so happens to go on sale on the 70th anniversary of the nameplate, the badging has been made to be reminiscent of the first model. Which is why “FAAL” is spelled on the front bumper in big, yet discreet lettering, and “Foreia” is spelled in spaced letters underlined by a single chrome line, just like on the 1949 models. Apart from those cues, the car is a beautiful piece of design, with flowing lines and a nice feeling interior with the latest embarked tech.

The 2019 Mk8 Foreia will be on display at the FAAL stand, in three different models. Two diesels, and one petrol powered unit.

  • The mid trim Thema, with the 2.2L inline 4 150hp turbodiesel 15TDE. Mated to a 6 speed manual, it gets 4.4L/100 (NEDC).

  • The luxury trim Iridium, with the 3.0L inline 5 200hp turbodiesel 20TDE. Boasting creme leather seats, dashboard with faux cedar wood inserts and the brand new FAALBond V4 with the 10 speaker Concert Hall upgrade from Hermann&Gordon. It’s also fitted with the new 8 speed automatic S-tronic gearbox, which includes TETRA All Wheel Drive.

  • The obligatory sporty-looking-but-not-sporty trim, TT-line. Featuring half bucket leather seats with body coloured inserts, 19 inch alloys, faux carbon fiber window trim and mirrors, and black roof. This one gets the 2.5L inline 5 250hp turbo petrol 25TFE, also with the 8 speed S-tronic and TETRA.

Also, two cars will be given to journalists to drive during press days. Both of which are petrol powered. If the display cars are what people want to buy, the Press cars are what FAAL wants people to buy.

FAALdisplay2

The FAAL Coupe Mk. X (or just Mk. X for enthusiasts), is a sportscar that traces its roots all the way back to the seventies, where it was a cheap, 115hp RWD light car which eventually gave birth to the TETRA lineup that was going to be highly successful in both rallying and being FAAL’s testbed for new tech. It made a comeback in 2014, to tickle the whole sportscar market from the GT86 to the BMW M4, rejoicing FAAL enthusiasts who were missing a dedicated FAAL sports car ever since 1988.

It will be the first car to be given the “Mk8 Foreia” treatment to unify the brand’s visual identity. Front and rear fascia have been revised to meet the new visual standards and light signatures of the brand. Engines have been revised too: All three “normal” options gain from 5 to 10hp compared to outgoing models.

Two models will be on display at the FAAL Stand:

  • A 20TFE base model, featuring an updated 1.5L turbo inline 3 with 205hp (+5), in Ginster Yellow optional paint.
  • A 30TFE high end model, featuring an updated 2.5L turbo inline 5 with 310hp (+10. Also, same block as the Foreia 25TFE), in Tetra Blue paint, which is normally only available on special demand except on TT-I models.

And one press car will be available for journalists to try out during the press day:

The rest of the FAAL display will be cars that are currently sold but with no significant updates:
-a 2019 Mesaia TT-Line 15TDE, Pepite Black
-a 2019 Mesaia TT-I with optional bucket seats, Tetra blue
-a 2019 Tasia Iridium, 11TFE, Pearl White
-a 2019 Tasia GTI, Tetra Blue
-a 2019 Stavros TT-Line 20TDE, Thunderstorm Grey
-a 2019 Dima X Thema in two tone paint, Ruby Red body and Pearl White roof
-two 2019 Dima Thema with the Color+ package which allows for body coloured seat inserts and dash inserts. One 11TFE Oak Green, one 9TFE Ginster Yellow.

Gabatron G4 Cross by Gabatron Sport

After the brand was absorbed by Montes, Gabatron brings the new sports version of the G4 Cross: the G4 Cross by Gabatron Sport.

The platform and the suspension scheme (McPherson on the front axle, and torsion beam bar on the rear axle) is the same found on the standard G4 Cross (in fact, it is the same as in the original version), but with the touch of Gabatron Sport, which has taken care of giving it a more sporting touch, to be as effective as possible, as far as possible.

In the mechanical section, the 1.6 MUE (also known as the Most Unreliable Engine in popular culture) has been changed, by the well-known 2.0 turbo SCHI from Montes, which delivers about 230hp, and is coupled to a closed-ratio manual gearbox with six speeds, together with a Torsen differential, to be able to digest that power to the front axle without any hiccups.

In the aesthetic section, the main changes focus on bumpers and side moldings with specific design, as well as details in carbon simile, a rear spoiler, and the absence of bars in the roof, as well as the quadruple exhaust outlet, the transparent taillights, and the exclusive Rouge Intense.

The orders are now open, as well as the test units. The first deliveries will be made at the beginning of November. The prices starts from $22.611.

Ceder Paris Motor Show 2018

2.5T Signature AWD in Pouring Umber pictured.

For it’s 4th generation we decided to take the basic principles of the Aspera, liftback design and long bonnet, and infuse it with the latest iteration of our design language to create a restrained yet evocative design incorporating seductive lines all around the car to create a classy and powerful appearance without traces of vulgarity.

This is our first model to include Phase II of our Opensky Engine range including our newest 2.0 and 2.5 litre engines featuring modular architecture and Variable Valve Timing on all cams as well as our updated V-AIL system. The 2.0 litre I4 is available in one state of tune producing 200HP and 253NM of torque, unlike the 2.0 litre engine the 2.5 litre has 5 cylinders inline thanks to the modular design of the engine series and is also available in two states of tune. The lesser powerful version produces 262HP and 320NM of torque whereas the top of the range variant produces a total of 300HP and 367NM of torque, making it the most powerful Aspera to date outclassing previous 3.5 litre V6s and giving it enough power to keep up with competition from the Germans and English.

These Phase II updates are coming to all Ceder vehicles in 2019 and provide increased fuel economy, efficiency, throttle response and power over the original.

The chassis of the Aspera has been designed using the same technology as that of the MKVI Friala utilizing lightweight AHS steel and incorporating a similar Macpherson Strut/Transverse engine layout as the Friala, but instead using a Multilink rear suspension design opposed to Double Wishbone.

Like the Friala the Aspera makes use of various aluminium panels in the body to aid both fuel economy and speed.

For the first time in an Aspera model AWD is available in the standard liftback model, aiding in off the line traction and high speed road holding, rather than just the estate models. A 6 speed dual-clutch transmission is also available in more expensive trims.

The interior in all trim models consists of 5 premium quality leather seats, advanced infotainement with voice activation and a high quality sound system. The Aspera also comes with a multitude of airbags and safety devices to keep you and your passengers safe.

2018 Evgenis Nemean (All variants)

Here at this wonderful venue in the simply breathtaking city of Paris, Evgenis is proud to present their latest generation of the smallest car in their line-up, the Nemean. Once more, Evgenis is proud to present a product that stands by our ethos, “Premium, standard”, offering a more upmarket experience even to those who desire a smaller and more affordable product.

We are also doing a release of all versions at once, the standard model, the S variant offering a slightly spicier flavour, and the ES model, the true hot hatch that will really spice up your life!

DESIGN
The Nemean introduces a more updated design language for the brand, while retaining the same clean and modern traits Evgenis is known for. This time, the Nemean offers a more youthful yet more imposing look, with brand new design traits that will follow in upcoming models from the brand while still offering the continued focus on customisability.

The headlight and grille clusters before integrated into one design piece, this has now been updated so that the integration still remains, but a sharper and bolder style offers a more sporty stance. The grille now embraces the lower section of the headlight cluster while retaining the trait of having a the company badge taking centre place within. Depending on the variant, the grille surround will either be chrome (standard), gloss black (S) or carbon fibre effect (ES). The lower grille cluster has been completely remodeled, now giving a far sportier and serious look with large outer vents with integrated LED fog lights. The ES model has an even more aggressive lower grille section, completely different to other models with traditional style fog lights and a large lip at the bottom to improving driving characteristics.

At the rear of the vehicle, a new design for the light cluster integrates is apparent, similar to before, whereas a return to the Evgenis badge can be observed and a new positioning for the model name now found central instead of set aside. The lower section boasts integrated and functional exhaust outlets with rear reflectors and foglights.

The Nemean takes a massive focus on lighting, with all versions coming as standard with LED daytime running lights front and rear, with the option to upgrade to either our full-LED lighting or advanced full-LED lighting with startup and shutdown sequences, auto high-beam adjustment and ultra high beam modes. Both S and ES models come standard with full-LED lighting.

The interior continues the similar trends found on the exterior of clean and modern lines that run continuously around the vehicle.

As already mentioned, we have placed a large focus on customisability with the Nemean, allowing purchases to truly choose the right look for them. We will offer this car with a wide range of colour choices as well as different contrasting roof colours, a wide range of alloy wheels from 15 to 18 inches with a large number of design choices. And once more, even though this may be the most affordable car in the range, the Nemean is available on our Evgenis Custom Collection scheme.

ENGINES
The Nemean will be the first model available with five different fuelling choices once the full range is released. This means that petrol, diesel, gas, hybrid and full electric versions will be available, the initial release including petrol and diesel variants and further options in 2019. The petrol engine lineup consists of a 1.2-litre turbocharged inline 3 with either 90 bhp or 110 bhp, available on the standard versions of this car, a 1.6-litre turbocharged inline 4 with 150 bhp in the “S” variant, and a sportier 1.6-litre turbocharged inline 4 with 200 bhp that the “ES” model is equipped with. All petrol engines will be available in the European market, with American markets losing the 90 bhp model. The diesel engine will include our updated 1.5-litre diesel inline 4 offering 95 bhp, only available in Europe.

Efficiency remains extremely important, with all models capable of obtaining impressive real-world driving figures. With the arrival of alternative fuel variants, it will soon become even cheaper to run. Full economy figures to be revealed at a later date.

All engines will be available with a choice of transmissions, with either a six-speed manual or our popular eight-speed ZF automatic on offer, the ES instead being offered with a 7-speed dual clutch as an option. Both transmissions have been tuned to offer seamless and enjoyable driving, while not become cumbersome or a hindrance to performance nor economy.

TECHNOLOGY
At Evgenis, we continue to value offering advanced technology no matter what, even if it is the smallest and most affordable product. The Nemean will offer a similar scheme to the Valkyrie, equipping the most important technology as standard and then offering reasonably priced packages to add further technology.

Autonomous features are available as standard, with autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning being fitted all as standard. More advanced autonomous features are available in the “Advanced Autonomy Pack”, offering lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and blind spot assist plus rear cross traffic assist that will stop the car in the event of a potential collision when reversing out of a blind space.

All Nemeans will be available with rear parking sensors, but an “Advanced Parking Pack” adds a reversing camera and surround parking sensors, as well as autonomous parking to really take the sting out of parking. In America, the reversing camera is standard.

Additionally, all purchasers will be able to use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the base model thanks to the standard 8” touchscreen infotainment system, which can be upgraded to include a digital cockpit to allow for customisable displays and truly impressive graphics.

INTERIOR
In order to stick to our motto of offering “premium, standard”, the Nemean will come with an interior that will feel significantly more upmarket than similar models in the class to ensure a sense of durability as well as a premium feel. The interior will also be extensively customisable to suit the needs of each individual, including being open once more to the Evgenis Custom Collection to really add an edge to your car.

As to be expected with premium vehicles, interior materials are of a high standard, with all major surfaces being covered in plush, soft-touch materials, as well as there being a mixture of gloss, metal and carbon fibre effect depending on personal specification. A wide array of different inlays and interior colour schemes will be available, as well as different grades of interior luxury with the car coming as standard with premium cloth seats, upgradable to part-leather or even full leather.

The Nemean will come standard with 4G connectivity plus emergency callout, with the first being completely free for the first 3 years of ownership, although extensions packages can be purchased, and emergency callout being free for life.

DRIVING
The Nemean is going to be offered in the entire market Evgenis covers, meaning the Nemean needs to suit the driving needs of many different markets, while also appealing to both youthful and more mature clients, so we wanted a car that could drive exactly as you wanted it to. We continue to offer extremely high-end driving dynamics with this car, as well as sticking to the running theme of customisability.

As standard, the Nemean comes with an extensively tuned suspension setup for this segment that has an exceptional blend of comfort and sportiness, with the option to make it even more capable by adding the “Advanced Dynamics Pack”, which will allow for fully customisable driving dynamics ranging from engine response and suspension settings, meaning if you want this car to be engaging and responsive because you want to hoon down a B-road, then that is truly possible, whereas if you simply want to waft along in exceptional comfort on a long motorway cruise then you truly can. We wanted this car to feel like a sports car and/or a luxury car and we feel we really have achieved this.

S models and ES models considerably amp up the sportiness, with these adding the possibility of adaptive damping to make the car as soft or as sporty as your heart desires. Both of these models also add wider and sportier compound tyres, allowing for some unexpectedly wild cornering capabilities.

Available in all markets in December 2018.
UK pricing starting from £14,995 (hatch) / £16,795 (S) / £19,995 (ES)
EU pricing starting from €15,495 (standard) / €17,495 (S) / €20,995 (ES)
US pricing starting from $15,495 (standard) / $16,995 (S) / $20,495 (ES)
