NeverLoseGuy's Car Thread (Home of Fanatic, Willy, Echo Hour and more) [WIP]

Subject 696 is definitely the most mental car you have ever made. Even the most potent offerings from the likes of Gryphon Gear and KHT might struggle to keep up with it - but it’s so expensive to make that it might end up being a one-off. The Banshee is not quite as fast, but with 1700(!) horsepower (which is less than half of what Subject 696 is capable of, mind you) it’s still an unhinged machine to say the least.

And you would be right. The S-696 is so expensive it won’t be put into production until you order it. That said, it goes so fast even with v10 it ends up beating my 30s speedster which has biggest v16 in it, although it might has grip issues at that time.

By the way, I changed the engine of the truck from V6 to inline 4 because I thought it would be fun and cheaper to fit this “basic” vibe of it.

What else would you (or anyone else) expect from a car maker whose only consideration is the bottom line? These trainwrecks ought to be blown up on sight… with a bazooka!

What are the S-696’s track times? I’m guessing that’s one place it won’t have Gryphon Gear beat.

As of 23/5/19, I have reduced its hp to a more reasonable 2774 hp, making it run full lap on track at 1:54:47.

Reliability, dependability, ruggedness. These words are ones Sledgehammer sworn by ever since its establishment. It was no easy task, and to this day, it still struggles to keep up with the reputation it wishes for. Many failures brought in just as many success on its history.

The first car ever created was Jack. Yes, just Jack. Billy Boston, the founder of the company didn’t believe in giving cars fantasy names, or registration trademarks riddled with numbers. He called Jack, a simple name for a simple machine. A tiny-sized SUV to perform immense tasks. It has its own ups and downs, and every time an issue was found, Billy promised to the customers that Jack would emerge stronger than ever.

And he delivered. One of the most memorable cars of the company was no other than Mason, again a simple name for a simple coupe, designed for various tasks, from daily driving, to sports, to police interceptor, to passenger fleet, to rally, and so on. The fame wouldn’t forever, as the company suffered a major internal crisis, namely the management department as “William” and his friends had a conflicting ideas on their future production line compared to their co-workers. This caused the second-generation of Mason to be nothing but a technical nightmare, and the car was soon abandoned.

The company would still live on, however, after a reform in 1998, allowing it to settle its foot back onto its track again. Under the management of Garry Bridgestein, he promises to prove to the world, that Sledgehammer is still prepared for anything, and everything.

Known cars:

Jack - The company’s simple-yet-remarkable machine. While the car is tuned to be more of a “sports car” nowadays, its large cargo room and comforting interior makes up for a nice ride, while leaving more-than-enough power to do anything up to the task.

Spec:

  • Engine: 3.7L V8
  • Aspiration: Naturally Aspirated
  • Fuel System: Direct Injection
  • Body materials: Cor. Res Steel monocoque frame and panels
  • Gearbox: 6-speed manual
  • Max hp: 398hp @ 8400rpm
  • Weight: 1882kg

Mason - The legendary coupe, reborn. Revealed in 2000, the third generation has a number of significant changes made to the car, such as more usage of premium materials, LEDs, driving aids, and better performance overall. It would still however, maintain the rugged appearance it was known for, giving the customer the feel of armored suit, and the experience of a sunset ride. Garry himself personally hopes to see this car being the beacon of light to bring the company back to where it belongs, and considering the features given, it might be possible the dream may come true.

Spec:

  • Engine: 4.9L V8
  • Aspiration: Naturally Aspirated
  • Fuel System: Direct Injection
  • Body materials: Cor. Res. Steel monocoque frame and panels

In REDACTED , what appears to be a car from 1930s emerged to the public for the first time. There would be a few individuals who claimed the car is capable of reaching up to 1k hp at that time, which was obviously a fantasy to many people. As a result, Rosimania would grow bigger and bigger as a myth and folklore of its town origin.

Fast forward to the late 80s, there would be a hysteria regarding the “UFO” under the same brand. Combined with the recent moon landing of the US, this really fueled the conspiracy theory that Rosimania as a company, was in fact, an extra-terrestrial organization brought by the seemingly mind-controlled Apollo mission team in order to take over the humanity from the inside. The theory, while lacking a concrete evidence due to already scarce sightings of the so-called UFO, had so much influence on the people who did had the priviledge of its sightings, that they would form a cult based on this very company and its theory.

So, where is Rosimania today? Even now, no one still truly knows the location of its headquarter. Several attempts have been made, but they only came to the conclusion that Rosimania might never have existed to begin with. Add that to the fact that the company was not found under the trademark registration, some have theorized that this whole debacle was nothing but a recurring joke among the car community. Then again, it was just one of many theories that both the cultist and their rivals, have made in a futile attempt to explain this bizarre phenomenon of a company, if it even exists in the first place.

Known cars:

KYS-64000 - The first car ever seen under the Italian brand. First spotted in 1930’s, this era-inappropriate car would later spawn various theories related to time travel by people of modern times when they realize the strange resemblance of its appearance to their vehicles. The closest “truth” explains that this vehicle might have been made in 2013, but was brought back into 1935 by a secret organization in an attempt to “test” out the car itself, but no evidences needed to support the theory are anywhere to be found.

Spec:

  • Engine: Rumored to be 11L V16
  • Aspiration: Turbocharged
  • Fuel System: Direct Injection

Krovstal doesn’t make cars for a reason, it sucks their dick while they’re making one.

That’s why you see a 3 tons brick with 1.5k hp rushing to the designated site within the testing facility, or a 15 tons military vehicle with 6k hp and a fucking missile launcher showcased in one of the Moscow Parade. Despite all the brags, Krovstal isn’t all crack.

In fact, it has always been a misconception that started since the 80s, when the filthy western spies tried to spread their western propaganda to the rest of the world about how it poses a threat to the UN and such. The truth is, Krovstal does have its tamer side, which has been a thing ever since it was established. Though not as popular as the projects they made to “show off”, a handful of tamer models can be seen listed on the website as for sale for both the local market and poorer regions.

That said, most people would came to know Krovstal by its ingenuity, namely slapping the biggest engine into the heaviest car, thereby making the unstoppable force that defies the classic “agility vs strength” dilemma. This trend that started since the 80s would make quite a reputation for the brand, with most treating it as automotive shitposts, and few genuinely frightened of wrath it brings forth.

Many people out there want to have a powerful car that is fun to drive, but more often than not, they either:

  • goes beyond your budget.
  • looks like a rat’s leftovers.
  • rips you off without knowing it.
  • are all three above, if not more.

So why bother pursuing cars that we know, are beyond logic? Settle down, relax, and take a look at Harper, your number 1 car manufacturers that gives you just about anything, even if you are an average Joe.

We started our mission in 1967, and it was a simple idea: make a car that’s fun to look and drive. Our first priority is to design the aesthetics of the cars that would attract all kinds of buyers around the world. We ask ourselves, “What do customers want to see with their cars? What would invoke their emotions from within?”. Every cars we make all follow the same principle, but each has their own unique ways of answering the questions. If you’re still unsure about our brand, then take a look at Pigeon, our smallest, yet most nimble of all. It carries the same idea we had when we first designed its first generation, and still does, even after decades of operation.

v i b r a t i o n s

dear god why?

This is much too large for a V6. Even if it actually delivers 613 horsepower, that can’t be good for the car’s comfort rating. And plain untreated steel for the body and chassis in this day and age is asking for trouble.

In fact none of your cars seem to make much sense - some of them use very old, anachronistic bodies for the present day, others have too much power for their own good, and still others are just plain bad. And yet, somehow, I like them as a guilty pleasure, if only because I’ve never seen anything more meme-worthy than what you’ve made.

Some of them are intended as a meme, yes. Others I’ll either see if there’s any better options, or justify decisions I made with the writing. Harper, for example, could get away with using shitty materials to mimic Fiat and their unreliable reputation.

Now that you mentioned it, I’ll leave this page as it is for a while. I still have a couple of brands to write and I’ll finish everything up once things are a-ok.

Elena Western, the youngest of the three Westerns, was one of the female engineers who has shown keen interest in automotive sports back in 60’s, spending a lot of time tinkering with her cars in the garage rather than participating in the activities women were expected to. Seeing her potential, the Western family suggested her to use the skill and start the business related to her field, so she could bring fortune to the family the way her brothers had been doing since they graduated.

The business had been running steadily, until it faced a tough competition who would later become the long-running rival of the company. Worse still, the founder of the said rival also turned out to be one of her classmates she knew during her college years, making their relationships somewhat closer, but at the same time, very tense.

While Curtis Fusion Jr. chose to pursue more power to move faster, Elena instead did the opposite and started cutting down weight to increase the power/weight ratio. This philosophy that she has come up with would become the core concept of what Aeromancer is about; agility and control, rather than Fanatic’s brute force and pure power.

Muscle cars first emerged into the land of freedom back in the 60s, with the cars promising high power and fun. While there are many modern incarnations in the market today, none of them managed to stay true to their origins, and the words themselves eventually devolved into something else entirely.

Chronos Marvel was created to undo the process, and bring forth the new age of muscle car.

The better muscle car.

The car itself isn’t just for aesthetic; the power it has combined with high-quality materials of the body and interior ensures an enjoyable driving experience, while still maintaining power, and fun, the American way.

Hamilton family was one of the first to get their hands onto the automotive industry when it was just blooming in the 30’s. Instead of making their cars affordable however, the family chose to reserve their cars to the rich in the name of “Crystillar”, which would later be synonymous with hand-crafted elegance only worthy to the few.

It’s no surprise that, even to this day, the name of the company doesn’t really appear onto the surface for the masses to see. It is to be argued however, that it indicates what this company is all about; elegance, distilled to the absolute.
