Paris Motor Show 2016 [Automation Edition]

There they are, the CMT 2016 models!

First of all, we introduce the new Defiant subcompact. It is inspired by the 2009 Ford Fiesta, being a total makeover of the CMT City. If there will be a Petoskey twin again, well, Petoskey hasn’t asked yet, but we are open for a talk.
In comparison to the prototype compared to the NMC Scarab in CarChoice Magazine the rear axle has been improved (Torsion beam before) and the frame changed from galvanized steel to AHS steel.

The base model comes with an 80hp l3 and has trip computer, front power windows, piano black interior decor and a contemporary CD radio. So everything that is needed, as well as ESC and 6 Airbags. But not much more. It is sold for 13500 $.

The “Eco” trim isn’t the one with the lowest consumption, but rather the sporty model, with three-door body and a rich trim for a car of that size, with artificial leather armrest, heated front seats and an automatic aircondition instead of the manual one in the base version.

Of course, you get that trim also as five-door, and its even a hint thriftier.

One class above, we add a new trim to the compact Renegade, being the entry level with an 1,0-l4 turbo developing not too bad 132hp. The price is not too high compared to a VW Golf.
Yep, the trim is just as the rather underwhelming VW one at this price range, but our car is surely not that boring.

And yep, that engine also fits in the Defiant.

As the Renegade slowly replaces the Commuter V, CMTs compact RWD car with the rather strange rear styling for more trunk space, we asked ourselves which variants of the Commuter make sense to keep alive. Well, as the Renegade doesn’t get a wagon, the Commuter Sport Wagon is renewed for 2017. But before, we focussed on the V6 variant. Now even more fun to drive but one of the safest-handling RWDs, uptated interior, lower consumption (even if 8L are a little bit to much today, but that car is one for enthusiasts, so we don’t care!!) and more modern design. Because we can’t leave all that market to the BMW 1-Series. Just look at our test track scores, the perfect weight distribution and the amount of comfort that small car gives to you!

After 6 years, the Magellan heavy duty truck was finally ready for a faclift.
The luxurious four-door passenger variant got a completely new styling, an overworked engine and an improved suspension plus a gear more for its automatic transmission.
The price rose, well, this Magellan is actually not anymore the car the army or your local plumper opts for, with a price of $ 35.000…

The “normal” two-door single cabin variant kept the original 2010 design, as the expenses spent should be as low as possible to keep the price stable. It worked and the improvements under the meanwhile rather boring metal were as big as the budged allowed. Markup was kept low to make the money with volume. And we have so many contracts signed already at our first day in Paris! We never thought that the reworked Magellan Delivery is our star here in Paris! I mean, you get a 295hp bulletproof fullsize truck with excellent ride for a $ 20.000 bargain!

The last car is a real sensation. Imagine a premium midsize car running 250 kph in top speed, having a trim keeping up with a Mercedes E-Class and just needing the amount of 95-octane fuel that the Defiant with the l3 does.
Impossible? No!
The Nexus gets an experimental engine being relatively large but with immense stroke. The good old eta reciepe originally made by BMW in the early 80s and successfully adapted by CMT in 1986. It now has its revival as opponent to the downsized turbos that are not too good for driveability.

Markup is relatively low, as that car is made for taxi companies and other fleets using limousines.
As normal customer, you can get it on request for leasing only, as the engine is not tested in a long everyday use yet. Some taxis are driven with E85 - the cheapest-running large taxi ever.

That car looks like it’s going to bite and tear off the head of someone!
I can’t wait to see full specs.

Now this is some proper lunacy - a wild-looking hypercar with a crazy paintjob and even crazier performance. I want to find out how it would fare against other hypercar manufacturers’ products!

#Saminda releases C2000R concept for Paris

The fastest 4 cylinder rear-drived hot-hatch is here , a banner which is just on top of the C2000R concept booth.

To be clear, this is a concept version of the vehicle, but Saminda concept cars are typically quite close to their production counterparts. And most of what we see here seems plausible for the real deal. Saminda’s being cagey about the specifications of the engine, but we know that it will make over 350 horsepower.

Look for that production car to be unveiled sometime next year, and on sale for the 2018 model year.

Mmm… The Urban MRP it makes over 400HP and more than 300km/h of top speed.

The fastest RWD hot hatch over specs or on the track?

Bell Automtoive won’t be unveiling the specs of the super car until the last day of the show in a big laser show music thing

On the track  , we aim to be the fastest RWD hot hatch around automation lap time , while Saminda have not released any numbers for it , but expect more then 350hp .

I would like to point out to you that even in the world of Automation, your highest markup of 13% is incredibly low…

355hp? is this a rival of the C2000R?

if it’s a 4 cylinder car , i would want to see if Saminda could beat it lap time as the fastest rwd hatch considering Saminda cost 10k more.

Originally planned to appear first as a surprise in HLC, the CMT Trial Montain (I like that track so much so I had to name this nice car after it, as all sports cars are named after one) is already developed far enough to present it in Paris.
As the design is definitely sure and won’t be changed noticeably for the production car, we thought this would be a good idea. Maybe some Saminda buyers take a look at this car here, as that brand is our No.1 opponent due to the volume they have on the market.

The trim range for the production car not confirmed yet. A reworked Chevrolet engine has been leaked, a choice for pleasant cruising, what could really fit a convertible… too bad our B-prototype has been stolen and was sold to the press…

Edit: Towards to the end of the show, CMT presents a new hothatch attacking those already seen here. The Trial Mountain is losely based on the Renegade, so the engine and drivetrain actually fits in the smaller and lighter car… that’s going to be a car you shouldn’t miss. Prepare for gorgeous young woman in hotpants, an exclusive buffet and more!

Everyone is presenting fancy supercars, but what do I do? Throwing in bread&butter vehicles… but wait for the Renegade RS-X. The x stands for winner, which is quite logical, doesn’t it?
For real supercars, well, we don’t have the money. We are currently looking for a cooperation, as we had some promising badge-engineering with Petsoskey. Maybe we get into some business-talk. The CEO is present from now on untill the end of the show.

That one on the right, that Saratoga looks amazing! Seriously, the best DSD I’ve seen so far!

Why thank you sir i tried to make it an evolution of the original following similar guidelines to the original and i hope you can tell that the new one is an evolution of the old one.
Edit: i will release stats tommorrow of these two but basically i have switched the engines old/new.

out of interest does anyone know what the fastest front engine rwd car is in the automation world?

edit: this would be the laptime around att or green hell i guess… I am making no claims but it would be good to know
