1970 - RETRO AGE MOTORS
Beginning in the early seventies, Retro Age Motors found itself under siege from foreign auto makers. Imports from Japan, Europe and even the Communist Block had found their way unto American roads. Worse, these imports brought with them new ideas and concepts on how cars could be done …smaller size yet roomy inside. Better workmanship meant a better quality feel without having to use ever more expensive materials. Brakes that worked!
Retro Age Motors dropped the S-60 Series after sales fell off the cliff. The Sidewinder division decided to play both ends of the market …build a full size Sidewinder Patton for straight line performance and an intermediate size with more agility.
