1970 - RETRO AGE MOTORS
For years, Retro Age Motors had been quietly making trucks of various kinds. Mostly panel trucks and pickups but none were well know nor sought after …except, maybe by collectors.
1970 would change that, as Retro Age Motors introduced, under its own name a new truck line. A truck line that was aggressively marketed and targeted at both the working and leisure classes of America. Retro Age Motors even managed to win accolades from their competitors after winning the North American Automobile Classification Society’s (NAACS), Grand Touring Award with the that years only van submission. Going up against station wagons and the normal assortment of sporty, small, two-seaters, the EV400 drove away with the coveted GT moniker, but was beaten out by another competitors 2-door, four seater for the more prestigious GT P classification.
