Rising Motorsport - The place where dreams comes true

Rising Motorsport - The automotive artisans

Today I will show you our workshop, in which we do personal projects, mainly Japanese cars modifications. Street legal, or for race track.

Founded in 2012, I entered to the project 3 years ago, and after various location changes, we are currently on a Vic farm. So, we are on a peaceful and beautiful place. Currently, we are several members, but four we are the most active.

We do that cars the weekends.

Finished projects

R33 Skyline GTS-t SR20

This R33 was made for a local drift driver called Marc Huertes, that competes on a drift championship called OSD (Open Slalom Drift), after crashing his S14 on a race. And it was finished in one and a half month the entire build.

We swapped the SR20DET from his S14 (300hp), instead using the 500hp RB25DET that came with that Skyline, for various reasons: weight distribution, weight reduction (50kg less), and reliability and running costs. And other critical factor it was the massive lag from the tuned RB25DET.

And, we swapped to LHD, using the S14 dashboard and rack and column (it fits perfectly on that car).

And because is only a track car, we simplified all the electrics. We have engine, speedometer and lights.

It was possible to finish the car in time for the race event on Can Padró circuit (8Th and 9Th September of this year).

And thanks to David (one of our members), to spend one and a half month to do that awesome drift machine! He’s responsible for having made this car.

Current projects

FC3S S5 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II

That street-legal Mazda RX-7, is the most-veteran car from Rising. It has a long history. The project was started on 2011, but delayed due some troubles, and restarted again on 2015.

That car it was fully dissassembled, and repainted, as well rewelded, to increase the chassis stiffness.

We have repaired the dashboard, reupholstered all the panels and carpets, and more.

(I don’t have more photos about that car).

Is our current main project.

Nissan Skyline R34

David’s toy Skyline is for track purposes (drift), and it has a tuned RB20DET, with 300hp.

It has R34 GT-R panels and headlights (and Z-tune bonnet and front fenders), and like the R33, we swapped to LHD, using a S14 steering rack and dashboard.

Future projects

2x Mazda RX7 S4

We have 2 more FCs (the lifter one, and other), and one it will be street legal, and the other, for track purposes.

BNR32 Skyline GT-R

And that’s David’s next car! A Skyline BNR32 GT-R. But it comes without engine, suspension components, wiring… He’s thinking about what engine will put into it.
