Sunnet Candante

The first generation Sunnet Candante, that was build from 1962 to 1965, was a good idea, but the production model wasnt nearly as good. It wasnt a bad car, it just didnt fit the spanish market. It was to expensive and for the rich ones not luxurious enough. That means in 3 years of production, there were only 12922 units sold and Sunnet lost a huge amount of money.

Candante Sedan & Wagon

Both had a 3 cylinder 1.0 petrol engine with 52 hp. The topspeed was 135 kph and it took around 17.5 seconds to reach 100 kph. The sedan had an average mileage of 15.2 litres, the wagon had an average mileage of 15.6 litres.

There are only arround 390 first generation Candantes on the roads today.

Sunnet Candante

After the first generation failed, Sunnet took themself a short break until 1968, to work on what they have and improve it. The output was the second generation Sunnet Candante, that was better than the first generation in every way! It was the first model, that was sold outside of spain, it dominated the the italian, portuguese, spanish and the greek car market. A wagon and a sedan were from 1968 to 1975 available.

In it was a 1.1 3 cylinder engine which produced 55 hp. The Topspeed was 135 kph and it needed around 16.9 seconds to reach 100 kph. The average mileage of them was 9.8 litres.

The lux edition is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 4 cylinder engine that puts 231 hp out and only needs 8.1 seconds to 100 kph. With a higher topspeed of 225 kph, but a mileage of 11.3 litres it is sporty but not the economic car, that many people like to look at. 1,7 tons of weight, that are coming from the all leather interior with all the safety features you could get for free and one of the best navigation systems, make the flagship of Sunnet the heaviest and most advanced car they`ve ever build! Sunnet asked for 28500€ for the sedan and 29500€ for the wagon.

After the huge success of the last generation Candante, Sunnet increased the range of its second most popular car. The Lux trims aren`t a part of it. Beside the sedan and the wagon, there are a Coupe, a Convertible and a SUV under the name Sunnet Candante available.

The front of the lineup

The wagon and the sedan are both literally the same, beside the fact, that the wagon is more practical and costs 23800€ while the sedan is sold for 23200€. Both of them are equiped with the brand new Sun1.0 infortainment system, climate control, , safety features (ABS, ESC, power steering, emergency braking (450€), cruise control, lane departure assistent (450€), SunService, SunSOS (450€)). They are powered by the 2.0 4 Cylinder T eco, that produced 159 hp and took them to 100 kph in 8,8 seconds. They run on a FWD transmission. The average mileage of them is 8.4 litres and the topspeed is 200 kph. With a weight of 1470kg and a trunk volume of 1450 litres (wagon) or 1012 litres (sedan), they have lots of space. They drive on 18 inch alloy wheels, but for 1000€ on top they can drive on 20 inch alloys aswell.

To move on, Sunnet presented the first Candante SUV, that runs on the same engine, as the wagon and the sedan, but only reaches 192 kph and is 0.1 seconds slower. The average mileage is 8.9 litres and it weights 1593kg. It offers up to 2300 litres trunk capacity and is the only Candante with 7 seats. The Candante SUV starts at 26500€ and has the same equipment as the wagon and the sedan. It is the only Candante with AWD, too.

After the first SUV, Sunnet introduced the costumers to the new Coupe and Convertible. Both run on the same engine as the others, but it is changed to work as a sporty engine in them. It puts out 200 hp, reaches 100 kph in 5,6 seconds and the topspeed is set by 245 kph. The engine needs around 9,3 litres per 100km. They are both 2+2 seaters and they are equiped with everything the other Candantes have and give the features, that you need to pay extra by the other models, for free. The price starts by 34000€ (Coupe) and 36000€ (Convertible).

Back feels a bit bland, I’d try to make some more interesting tail light design and maybe add some chrome or plastic fascia pieces just to make it more interesting. Also, holy cow, if those sales figures are right, you’ll have the whole of the automotive industry trying to work out your secret! :joy:

Thanks for the design tipps. I try to give the following cars a better detailed look! Let`s say it like that, all the other cars of Sunnet sell quite bad and the Candante SUV makes nearly a third of the sales ( Everybody loves SUVs, I guess)

It has a manual 6 speed transmission and is AWD. The car is equiped with a navigationsystem, climate control, all leather interior with sporty seats. Sunnet Futuro

After a consistent growing demand for a bigger sedan than the Candante, Sunnet decided to do what the customers wanted and created the Sunnet Futuro, a Sedan and Shooting Brake. With it comes the new design line named after the designer “Fugoro”.

The Futuro is the flagship of Sunnet and deserves its name by 100%. It sets new standards in safety, connectivity, design, drivability, lets just say everywere!

After many Sunnet drivers weren`t happy with the look of the back of the last design line, we took the advice and worked on it. It features Sunnets new LED system SunLight that looks better than the old one.

The Shooting Brake

The engine is a inline 4 cylinder 2.0 turbo that puts 200 hp out. The Futuro is limited to 205 kph, but for 500€ you can unlimit it and get a topspeed of 256 kph. It takes 7.6 seconds to reach 100 kph and 35.9m to stop from 100 to 0. The average mileage is around 8.0 litres.

The Sedan

The Sunnet Futuro is the first Sunnet, that you can order with SunConnect 3.0 for 500€. Beside that everything is included in the price of 36500€ for the sedan and 38000€ for the Shooting Brake. Every Futuro gets air conditioning, SunConnect 2.0 with SunSOS and SunNav, a safety pack with every in 2017 known safety feature, 4 heated seats and massage function for the front seats and a all leather interior with aluminium covering.

order your Futuro now and get it before everyone else
It will be on Sunnet dealer lots at the 17 august!

There wont be a SUV under the name Candante anymore. But don`t worry, the old one will be sold until november.

The back of the Candante

All 4 models use the same 1.6 inline 4 cylinder turbo engine with the difference, that the sedan and the wagon are layed out to the economical route and produce 140 hp, while the coupe and the convertible use their turbo to produce more power (220 hp).

I don’t to be picky, but bare with me because I’m gonna; The shooting brake version of the Futuro isn’t actually a shooting brake as it has 4 doors and isn’t a hatchback.

Other than that, the rear ends of the Futuro and Candate look pretty decent, but the headlights on both cars need to be more complex for a 2018 car.

I’d also love to see the overview stats page for your cars, then we can get an idea of how they stack up against rival mid-size and full size sedans

I agree. If we could see the stats from the overview and design tabs, we might be able to compare them to other cars in their class.

I am not happy with the company itself, so I decided to stop the work on it, but i will maybe work on it in the future, when I have more inspiration.
