The Car Shopping Round (Round 64): Tears in Heaven

I actually liked it. But, just out of curiosity, what engine?

#The Bonham Fleming Six

The finest GT car ever concieved in the British isles long lives. In this model, the sporty feel has been enhanced by the aluminium construction, making this car light and nimble through the corners, yet rigid and solid enough for cruising. The interior is filled with the finest leather and a top-notch CD auto-changer, played through 12 speakers.

The engine on this entry-level Fleming is the same as the one found on the Chaucer Brooklands, only retuned for 10 extra horsepower, adding up to 310 hp from the 3.0 DOHC 24-valve straight-six. That power is put to the ground by a 5-speed automatic, which is helped by a limited slip differential.

As in typical Bonham fashion, a bottle of liquor is added to the car. For the Fleming, it comes with gin and a jar of olives.

Shake yours for $52,000.

It looks like a 550 Maranello (an anachronism; the 550 did not debut until 1996) and is clearly inspired by one, with performance to match; in short, the Bellisa is, as the Italians might say, una bella machina!

Anyway, back in '95, quite a lot of these cars would have looked even better with someone like Pamela Anderson standing next to them!

American Pie, in the first film a character played by the same guy as Sulu in the new Star Trek movies says MILF ( Mum I’d Like To F***) at a picture of Pamela Anderson’s character.

I am really, really struggling right now. Really, really struggling.

Just watch the American pie movie, quite a good comedy to be honest and you will see.

I’ve seen it.

I’m not following how this adds up with the reply besides it mentioning Pam Anderson.

She’s not even in the movie

Mate, please tell me you’ve understood any of the conversation from the past 20 minutes.
