The Car Shopping Round (Round 64): Tears in Heaven

standard tyres are 185, 195

I put some nice sized tires on the Taipan because I’ve got lots of power and it’s a bit heavy. Just made sense to do so.

Kimura has re-tuned the exhaust of our upcoming halo car to be more aurally stimulating and ever more ferocious. Please take a look again if you’d like to.

A picture leaked of the Concorde. Better shredder!

Still in the process of re-tuning. Though, it’s pretty much done by now

#Velocity Motor Works [VMW]
Proudly presents a curve ball to the Super Car Markets…

A Missile capable of over 200 mph, with 0-60mph coming in the sub-4 second range:

###A Muscle Car re-engineered to be more than a straight-line hero…

#The Blue Jay GTZ

We took a classic Muscle Car, tore it apart to see how it works, then re-engineered it from the ground up…
Using Carbon Fiber!
With our experience in exotic materials and speed, the entire chassis and all the body panels were re-designed in carbon fiber. Not only stronger, but much lighter this fighter became.

But we didn’t change it’s True Identity: This is still a rowdy, punch you in the teeth muscle car! And the drive-train reflects that. The Blue Jay has a simple double wishbone front suspension, and a solid live-axle rear end!

That’s right, a solid axle rear end that will punish you for the slightest miscalculation when pushing it!
But don’t fret, that’s why we included some driver assists to keep you out of trouble. Though, all it takes is pushing a button on the touch screen…

A touch screen? Yep! This is not a bare-bones racer, rather it is a wild grand touring racer with enough luxury to make it tame on a road trip, or in stop-and-go traffic. And after a long day at work, with your boss constantly stabbing you in the back, all you want is a full heated leather back massage when you tear up the parking lot in anger.

Yes! Tear up that parking lot with a vengeance as the Blue Jay GTZ comes equipped with an engine only the best Muscle Cars of yesterday could dream about:

  • A 455ci Big Block V8
  • Naturally Aspirated with Direct Injection
  • Magnesium block
  • 12.6:1 compression ratio
  • A rated 620hp

Warning: This engine may give weaker men a heart attack.

And all that power goes through a Special Tremec 6 speed Manual Transmission. Yes Tremec makes them with special ratios just for this specific car.

So get use to this view, unless you’re the one driving, because this Muscle Car can lay down a mean 1.18 Gs on the skid pad at 34 mph, and with the aerodynamics it can maintain up to 1.16 Gs at 119 mph.
Yeah, It can Corner!

Buy One Now, or forever be the weakling! Real Men drive Muscle Cars!
Only $105,500 as shown (+50% markup included)

At least I know I’m not the least powerful entry at 439 horsepower. Calculated risk using a twin turbo V6.

thats what i did. 1000hp.

What I can say (if I can get the styling of this thing right) is that I’m gonna be pretty salty if I don’t have the most POWAAAAAA of the lot here. Well, as long as I have the highest top speed I’ll be okay actually.

is that a challenge???

I’ve got less than 1000 (but not by much) and over 400 km/h top speed. Not the best for either, but hopefully a good compromise :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve got 1400hp but terrible top speed.

i’m nearly at 400 km/h, but not far off

wow. i got an amazing top speed : HP ratio then… 380km/h with only a nudge over 600hp

then you must have a very aerodynamic car with very few drag-producing fixtures

Elysios by Kimura. Redefining the limits for a street car.

Packing a 3 Liter Flatplane-Crank V8 engine, the Elysios with help from Kimura’s F1 team has a redline of 10,500 RPM, higher than any other production car. The chassis and body panels are both made out of 100% Carbon Fiber which help keep weight down under 1300 kgs. 0-62 MPH is finished in a almost unbelievably scant 2.6 seconds and the top speed is over 220 MPH, but the Kimura Elysios was not designed to be quick. As a matter of fact, the Elysios was designed to corner as well as it could. To help with this, the Elysios has an also-F1 designed pushrod front and rear suspension as well as an electronic limited slip differential.

The Elysios, whilst providing the feel and adrenaline rush of a racecar, does not lack the comfort found in other luxury vehicles. A high-quality interior is highly advanced, with a completely re-done infotainment system, heated and cooled seats and steering wheel, and an advanced lightweight sound deadening material that removes over 50 pounds of weight compared to a normal sound deadening material without compromising road noise. Of course, the Elysios is a sculpted machine, with our signature Prismatic headlights among other design choices. The Elysios, therefore, is not only a raw super car in it’s ultimate form, but also a car which is ready to face the challenge of daily life and is willing to enjoy a curvy backroad.

It has to be a 15,000 horsepower V12 of 4.8L displacement, twin turbo, netting you 68 MPG with a top speed of 380 MPH with a five second quarter mile. All costing under 10k. At least that’s what everything I compete against feels like.
