Thecarlover's mods & WIPs

Thanks! The one in the steam image has a 6.0L V12 with space to spare. Engine bay is pretty narrow, so huge turbocharged V8s won’t fit, but it’s long.

You have been killing it with bodies recently my man, keep kicking butt in the modeling software.

Great looking car there.

I’m amazed at the level of morphing you managed to give the rear window/C-pillar area without breaking the game. Always a nice thing to see a body that allows players to create quite different looking cars.

Dont have automation atm, but this seems to be both a small challenger and a huge corrado at the same time!

Thanks guys!

@squidhead: it’s not even a huge Corrado, it’s actually of a similar size… More of a tiny Challenger if anything. Wheelbase is 2.5 m/98.4", and the body itself is 1.11 m/43.7" tall. I guess it just looks bigger by the proportions, but 7.7L is about the biggest V8 that can squeeze in the proportionally huge engine bay.

I will definetly check that one out!

Hey thecarlover. Maybe GMT830 instead of K2XX Extended Length? because currently there was no 2000s huge/extended-length SUV on the game, however, in the next update, there may be a smaller and larger variants of 2010s large SUV. Body styles were 5-Door SUV, 4-Door Sport Utility Pickup (aka GMT805/GMT806), and if possible: 4-Door Extended Cab and 2-Door Single Cab.

Note: I found Chevrolet Avalanche/Cadillac Escalde EXT blueprint, but it’s a GMT940, not GMT805/806.

I looked at the 3 latest generations of the Suburban to figure out which to make. The main reason I didn’t go with that one is that the 90s SUVs are still relevant for the early 2000s. I figured I’d go with the new one and have it unlocked around 2012 (maybe even 2010) since modern cars appear to be what people want the most, to make things for the current market. That’s also why the 2007 model was ruled out, since 2005 would be the logical time to unlock it but then it would have safety and prestige penalties by 2016.

And here I am silently wishing you went for the Ford Expedition.

The Expedition is too small  I’m still debating a SWB single cab Super Duty Ram as well as a large SUV to go along with it. That would be more Excursion than Expedition, but yeah. For this modern SUV, I wanted something with a long wheelbase to properly accommodate pickup body styles, hence my choice of Suburban.

The Expedition is the same size as a Suburban. Especially an Expedition EL. An Excursion was the size of an F-250.

I’ve never heard of the Expedition EL until now, I don’t think it’s been sold here. Regular Expeditions are fairly rare on their own and I’m pretty sure the latest facelifted version isn’t sold here at all. I now see exactly where the GTA Landstalker came from

I’m surprised that Canada doesn’t have the Expedition… Surely you have the Navigators?

We do, as with Navigators, they’re just a rare sight. I looked it up, and the EL is sold here as the Expedition Max, and the latest refreshed model is also sold here, but I’ve honestly never seen it, even on a dealer lot. LWB SUVs are rare here overall, but that’s just one I’ve never seen.

I would personally be thrilled to death with a 60s ponycar body with angular rear-quarter glass!!

Hi carlover, I just found something a little bit wrong with the 3 door version of the land rover, nothing big, just something weird with the UV map I think…
If I place a vent in the side, a hole appear in the back, and vice versa

Are you placing the vent on a seam? I redid the UV mapping from the 4 door version, so I’m not sure what would cause that.

Edit: Nevermind, just tried it myself and there seems to be an issue with the rear UV map on the body-coloured pillars 3-door. I’ll get to fixing that.

Updated Range Rover to solve that fixture stamping issue and Super Duty Ram for a minor morph issue.

Finally have something to show for the Suburban WIP. It’s far from finished, and with how busy I am with school, I have no idea for an ETA. The basic shape is there and I’m still working on shaping the front and back.

That looks good already! Seems like late 90’s, early 2000’s?
