TSR Automotive

Do you mind if I make a targa version of your 2nd Gen Ultra? Swapped it with a 732hp 4.3L Boxer 6 Engine and softened the car a bit.

Goes to 219 MPH.

Do I actually have to own a TSR to reserve a car? If so, how do I buy?

Yes. You need to have one. Just download one of the cars that I have uploaded in the website. If you want a newer car and you can’t wait until the 2010s lore, you can always PM me.
Owning a TSR means that you are dedicated to have the Tora Ultra NR5 and a TSR enthusiast instead of just owning a car. I hope my explanation is clear. Thanks.

The 2nd generation TSR Itakara (2003-2008)

The 1st generation were criticized by being too small. TSR had that in mind while designing the second generation. The 2nd generation was now bigger and more powerful, but heavier at the same time. This is the only generation with a coupe body style. TSR always have safety in mind. With the advanced crumpling zones, the car is now very heavy and also more expensive. But, families are now happier because of the increased size. Now, every trim has an optional all-wheel-drive system (except for the RS, having AWD as standard).

This is the Standard. It is equipped with steel wheels as standard. The NA 2.5 litre Inline 4 produces 177HP. The geared LSD is standard as always.

This is the Sport. It now has alloy wheels as standard. The engine now produces 205HP. The suspension is now sportier.

This is the Turbo. The engine now produces 300HP. The rims are now an inch bigger with a sportier suspension. Most trims are now blacked out.

This is the RS, released in 2005. What is special about this one is that is only available as a coupe. Which means that it is now for the true drivers. AWD is now standard and the engine now makes 338HP. Every trim pieces are now blacked out. The grill is exclusive to the RS.

Nowadays, these cars are cheap as hell due to low desirability. It means that a lot of high school students buy these cars. But occasionally, these are transformed into monster sleeper cars. The 2.5 litre Inline 4 has a great tuning potential. But, they are also swapped with all kinds of engines like the V6 from the 3rd generation Kansai for example. Many RS versions are used for street racing, mostly in Japan, and motorsports. Production ended in 2008, 5 years in production, making it the most short-lived generation of the Itakara ever.

1st generation TSR Kazuma (2003-2010)

This is the 1st generation TSR Kazuma. It was released in 2003. It was for people who needed good fuel economy and practicality for families. It uses the same 2.5 litre Inline 4 from the 2nd generation Itakara.

This is the Standard. Equipped with a 2.5 litre NA Inline 4 producing 177HP going to the front wheels. It can go 33 mpg. It is using a manual transmission. This version has steel wheels.

This is the GS. The engine is now making 186HP. It can do 32 mpg. An AWD version is available, the GS4, which can do 30.7 mpg. It is using an advanced automatic transmission. This version has alloy rims and a Viscous LSD.

This is the TS. The engine is now turbocharged producing 300HP to the front wheels. There are no AWD version. It can do 25.7 mpg. It has a sportier suspension too.

This is the RS, the sportiest version of the Kazuma. It was released in 2005. It is now standard with AWD. The engine is tuned to produce 338HP. It can do 27.5 mpg. The suspension is now even more sportier. It is considered a sleeper.

The 3rd generation TSR Kansai (2001-2009)

After 14 years after the last Kansai, Kansai RS (2nd generation), the 3rd generation was born. Since the designer and the engineer of the 2nd generation Kansai passed away, they hired a new one. The focus of this car is different. This generation of the Kansai was meant to be a fun sports car to drive. The panels are partial aluminium with a full-aluminium chassis. The engine was transversely. The front-suspension is double-wishbone with multi-link suspension in the back. People were not liking the transverse engine placement because they were scared that front will be too heavy. But, is actually not too bad. The engine was a V6 ranging from a 2.5 litre, 2.6 litre and a 3.0 litre engine displacement. People also didn’t like the FWD. Luckily, the FWD is only on the base trim, the GT. Other trims uses a slightly rear-biased AWD system. It may not be a true successor of the previous Kansai or a GT car, it is still a good sports car.

This is the GT, equipped with FWD and steel wheels. The engine is a 2.5 litre NA V6 producing 207HP. It can do 33.8 mpg. The differential is a viscous LSD.

This is the GTS. It now has a wing and bigger alloy rims. The 2.5 litre NA V6 now produces 222HP to all 4 wheels, maing it AWD. It also helps make the car improve it acceleration from 0-60mph in 6.91 seconds. The suspension is now sportier. It can do 27.7 mpg.

This is the GTR. Released in 2003, this is a sportier version of the GTS. The engine size is now 2.6 litres now producing 235HP. Surprisingly, it can do the same fuel consumption as the GTS, 27.7 mpg. The differential is now a geared LSD. 0-60mph happens in 6.55 seconds. The top speed is 142mph.

This is the RS. Released in 2005, both the RS and RS Turbo are the sportiest version of the Kansai. The engine is now 3 litres now making 274HP. It can do 26.7 mpg. 0-60mph happens in 5.59 seconds with a top speed of 146mph.

This is the holy grail of all 3rd generation Kansai, the RS Turbo. Everything on this car is the same except for the engine. The 3.0 litre NA V6 from the RS is now turbocharged making 350HP. 0-60mph happens in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 159mph, making it the fastest factory 3rd generation Kansai.

USDM differences
This is a good example of a USDM 3rd generation Kansai. This is the GTS model.

The decals on the side skirts are optional only in the US. It is only available for the GT, GTS and GTR.

The side indicators are now amber reflectors. The very top of the headlight is now an indicator.

The rear side of the Kansai has a red reflector.

3rd generation Kansai can be found for quite a cheap price. But because most of these cars are modified, the values of them are rising ever so slightly.

TSR’s Design Update for 2025 Facelifts and the 2020 TSR Fallwing

No, this is not leaked info…

“We, the design division of TSR, have been experimenting with the current designs to see if we can come up with a more prestigious design. We would like to tell you all about it.”
-Riku Nakamura, Head of the TSR Design Division

Approval from TSR’s Founder, Tomoyaki Takashiro, has been made to spread the message. This revised design element will improve the car’s design and presence. Recently, they have been playing around with laser lights. They will use those for high end cars. Most of the design updates are for the lights, but the front grill have been updated.

The general headlight shape will stay the same. The LED lights at the center are daytime running lights. The 3 laser lights lights up at low beams and high beams. The blinkers are now moved to the sides. The grill are also revised. The now have chrome at the top and bottom of the grill. The shape is a little bit more angular as you can see at the bottom.

The new lights are almost identical, except that it is now connected to each other. This makes the car more prestigious looking.

As this is not on any production car yet, we would like feedback on the design.

2003-2018 2nd Generation TSR Angel

The 1st generation TSR Angel ended production in 2000. The 2nd generation TSR Angel was released in 2003. It is now approximately 200kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to its all-aluminium body panels and chassis, making it a better driver’s car. It is also smaller in height and length. It used the same engine as the 1st generation Kazuma and 2nd generation Itakara.

This is the standard. It is equipped with a 2.5 litre NA Inline 4 producing 186HP. Its weight is 1082kg. The geared LSD is standard. 0-60mph happens in 6.43 seconds with a top speed of 146mph. It can also do 37.7mpg.

This is the S. The engine now produces 205HP. Its weight is now 1115kg. 0-60mph happens in 6.43 seconds, the same as the standard. The top speed is 150mph. It can do 33.5mpg. It also has a sportier suspension.

This is the TS. The engine is now turbocharged producing 300HP. Its weight is 1223kg. 0-60mph happens in 5 seconds flat with a top speed of 156mph. It can do 26.9mpg. It also has a new body kit and a sportier suspension.

This is the RS. It was released in 2005, the same year where the Kazuma and Itakara got the RS trim. This time, it has an AWD system with electric LSDs. The engine is now tuned to make 338HP. Its weight is now 1308kg. 0-60mph happens in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 140mph due to the increased downforce. It can do 30.2mpg. It also has a sportier suspension.

It 2015, it got a facelift. It now features a new LED headlight and taillight, new rims (only for the Standard and S versions) and a new infotainment system.

The new LED headlights.

The new LED taillights.

The new rims (only for the Standard and S).

The RS got a new bumper.

These cars are very popular in the tuner scene. Some of them are modified for touge racing in Japan and some of them are drift cars.

Unknown Secrets…

In 1995, TSR launched a special program secretly. They invited some of their most loyal customers to come to the headquarters in Japan. It was something AWD and rear-engined. The customers bought the cars in secret too. This car was one of the rarest and most exclusive TSR in the world. Only 10 of these exist. No one knows about it until now. It is the TSR Angel X-REX. It was a secret experimental vehicle. It may look like a normal TSR Angel, but it is way different. Everyone saw it as a modified Angel. But, true TSR fans will know that this is from the factory. This is a thank you gift to the most loyal customers of TSR.

The new lights, different rims, extra vents and a new rear wing shows that it is different. This particular one is the only one in the US. It complies with the regulations. The wing is pretty similar to what you see on the TSR Comet except that it is now bigger. The wing has a vent which cools the engine. Between the taillights is a grill instead of a black bar to release hot air from the engine. The fuel cap is now moved to the front since the fuel tank is also moved to the front. Even the little things like the mirror are exclusive to the X-REX. It is also wider than a normal TSR Angel which means that it could fit wider tires.

This is proof that the car is rear-engined. The engine taken from the 2nd generation TSR Tora Touring tuned to make a little bit more power and be more efficient.

Nowadays, people think that this could be the secret successor to the TSR Comet. It could be true. It’s up to you to decide…

If you want to drive it, please PM me. Thanks.

The 3rd Generation TSR Fallwing

The 3rd generation Fallwing went on sale in 2005. It has a new 5.5 litre V8 twin-turbocharged V8 unit. The shape of the body is very smooth with an almost liftback style rear. This was the 1st TSR to use this design language (2005-2018). It sold pretty well. It came in 2 trim levels, the “Bussiness” and “Standard”.

This is the Standard. The turbocharged 5.5 litre V8 produces 376HP. It has a luxury SatNav and a luxury interior. The springs are active comfort. AWD is standard.

This is the Bussiness. The engine now produces 400HP. The interior is now hand-made. The rims are also bigger. They are 20 inches. The suspension is also tuned to be more comfortable.

At 2015, the car received a facelift. It had a new luxury infotainment system, new LED lights, an improved and more powerful engine, new rims and a new panormaic sunroof only for the Bussiness

The new front bumper and the new rims.

The car was also a little bit more reliable, but they are still quite unreliable. That is what slows down the sales.

NOTE: THE FRONT GRILLE IS GLITCHED IN PHOTO MODE!

Back into memory lane…

2018-12-15 This is the original badge used before changing it to the current badge in 1955.

Right after the company launched, Tomoyaki, the founder, released a car. It is called the Takashiro Model 1. This is the first car from TSR. Takashiro is the name of the brand before it changed to TSR in 1955 with the release of the first generation Kansai. The car was inspired by race cars in the 40s. The engine was handbuilt by co-founder Ryo himself. It is a pushrod 3 litre Inline 6 producing 123HP and 171 lb-ft of torque. The body was designed by Tomoyaki. It was made out of aluminium with a space frame chassis made of galvanized steel. The suspension was double-wishbone at the front and back. There were only 2 bucket seats in the front with no radio at all. It weigh 942.7 kg in total. 0-60mph happens in 10 seconds flat. It was a good track car for those who likes racing in the weekends. Only 50 of these are made until 1954.

Feel free to drive this car! Thank you.

The 3rd Generation TSR Itakara (2010-2018)

Since the 2nd generation Itakara ended production in 2008 because of the global economic crisis, it took 2 years until the release of the 3rd generation Itakara in 2010. The engine was new as well. It was a turbocharged Inline 5 with a multi-point EFI instead of the usual direct injection to save money (although they switched to direct injection for the 2015 facelift). It means that it this generation is the only one equipped with an Inline 5. It was also the 1st TSR to have an official police variant as well. The design language fits perfectly to this car. It was also quite economical.

This is the Standard. It is equipped with a 2.5 litre turbocharged Inline 5 producing 194HP. It is FWD with a viscous LSD. It can do 40.5mpg. It has steel rims as standard. AWD is optional.

This is the S. The engine now produces 214HP. The differential is now a geared LSD. It can do 36.1mpg. The S also has a trunk lip. The rim is now made of alloy. The suspension is sportier. AWD is optional.

This is the TS. The engine now produces 240HP. The rims are now bigger (now 19 inches) an have sport compound tires. The suspension is also sportier. AWD is still optional.

This is the RS. First released in 2012, this is the ultimate version of the 3rd generation Itakara. Now, it has a new body kit and a new wing. The engine now produces 320HP. AWD is now standard and the suspension is even more sportier. TSR decided to try their early version of their infotainment system with this model.

In 2015, the Itakara received a facelift just like every other model. The changes include new alloy rims (to replace the steel rims of the standard), new LED lights, a new infotainment system, a DCT transmission (optional for the TS and RS), AWD now standard for the TS and a direct injection fuel system to replace the multi-point EFI. The engines are now more powerful and more efficient with the Standard (with no optional AWD) able to do 46.4mpg.

This is the facelifted version of the Standard. Look at the new LED lights and alloy rims.

This is the facelifted version of the RS. The LED lights are operating at night. Because of the direct injection, the engine now produces 350HP.

The 3rd generation Itakara is the best selling and most successful TSR ever. We hope we can repeat the same success with the new 4th generation that we will reveal next year.
