TSR Automotive

Back into memory lane…

2018-12-15 This is the original badge used before changing it to the current badge in 1955.

Right after the company launched, Tomoyaki, the founder, released a car. It is called the Takashiro Model 1. This is the first car from TSR. Takashiro is the name of the brand before it changed to TSR in 1955 with the release of the first generation Kansai. The car was inspired by race cars in the 40s. The engine was handbuilt by co-founder Ryo himself. It is a pushrod 3 litre Inline 6 producing 123HP and 171 lb-ft of torque. The body was designed by Tomoyaki. It was made out of aluminium with a space frame chassis made of galvanized steel. The suspension was double-wishbone at the front and back. There were only 2 bucket seats in the front with no radio at all. It weigh 942.7 kg in total. 0-60mph happens in 10 seconds flat. It was a good track car for those who likes racing in the weekends. Only 50 of these are made until 1954.

Feel free to drive this car! Thank you.
