Turbo Overheating when Exported to Beam

Since the open beta branch update it appears that turbos get a little toasty in Beam, overheating when exhaust temps get to ~420c do to how beam handles overheating. Build version: 1901191245

Looking through the jbeam files this line seems to be what causes it:

"damageThresholdTemperature": 610, //If turbo overheats beyond this temp (C) it can take damage

It appears that beam adds engine, oil and exhaust temperatures for this value which means that turbos overheat very aggressively, especially on newer cars.

From what I can work out inter-cooler size, exhaust size and engine cooling have no effect on how quickly the exhaust heats up.

If it is not too difficult would it be possible to have a threshold that gradually increases with year of export, say starting with 800c and then going to 1200c for 2020?

Thanks for that! We’ll look into it

The threshold is a little low at 610* C, yes. Typical max safe EGTs for n/a motors is around 675* C and for boosted engines is around 875* C.
