Let’s Race

Bovos Motors decided to compete in the OTCC of 1972.
They had a rough task, be competitive with the 1800cc Rosco hatchback.
In a division(div2) where the competition brings up to 2000cc
(bracket 1601-2000cc, min.750kg, max.245mm tire)

                               

Tactics

The mission was clear;
Focus on the fuel efficiency, weight and agility.
(Try to keep up with the competition
and pass them when they need to pit)

                               

Tuning

Every unnecessary part on the car was removed to reduce the weight.
A body kit was fitted to make it sleek and save on fuel consumption.
The factory NA 1800cc SOHC8 mechanical fuel injected
I4 engine had a few race upgrades:

• Bigger bore (1853cc)
• Higher rev range (6700RPM)
• and an overall increased poweroutput of about 30%

Tuned for a balanced powerful, but efficient output
on a light platform.
(fun fact: it still holds up for WES5)

                               

Predictions

With a great reliability, and balanced and predictable handling
Bovos Motors hopes to reduce the chance
of anything bad happening during the races.

2 Cars overall will be racing on all tracks this season.

Let’s Race

Bovos Motors decided to compete in
another division of the OTCC of 1972.
As they didn’t have a car in their own line-up
that would fit division 3,
the car of choice is the 2500 TS Blitz by Drakus.
This fits in bracket 2001-3000cc, with min.900kg, and max.265mm tire.
Another Bovos racing team was made and the journey began.

                               

Tactics

A tactical plan was made;
Focus on good stints, low weight and aerodynamics.
(trying to regain position when others pit for fuel and/or break down)

                               

Tuning

Every unnecessary part on the car was removed to reduce the weight.
A body kit was fitted to make it sleek and save on fuel consumption.
The factory NA 2494cc DOHC8 DCOE twin carburator
I6 engine had a few race upgrades:

• Bigger bore (2566cc)
• Higher rev range (7400RPM)
• and an overall increased poweroutput of about 33% .

Tuned for a balanced powerful,
but efficient output on a light platform.

                               

Predictions

With a decent reliability, and balanced and predictable handling
Bovos Racing hopes to reduce the chance of anything bad happening during the races.
We at least want to finish!



                               

Participation

As a strategy the team plays it super safe,
and expects to be a bit slower,
but get a second car for as many races as the budget allowed.
The cars that will be used for each race are as follows:

• R3 - 2
• R4 - 2
• R5 - 1
• R6 - 1
• R7 - 1

A Tristella racing team in all but name and budget, Lunascura Corse aims to make a strong impression on the touring class field this year. Everything that had been allowed to be adjusted has been adjusted in the Agheel QV’s transformation into the Agheel QV Competizione, with priority going to maximizing on track performance - at least on the chassis side. Though potential output was estimated to exceed a 50% increase, the engine has been tuned to only a “modest” 25% increase in output, preserving some semblance of reliability and efficiency for the debut year. Regardless, early estimates has the Lunascura Corse team optimistic about its performance, but in racing, nothing is certain. What could be done to maximize chances of a win has been done - now to see if lady luck smiles favourably.

#303 will be driven by Grey Sterling

Kaiserin Spezial Motorwerke will be using lower class entry at an attempt to try their hand at racing, and show off their tuning prowess a little. A bit overweight for the class and probably underpowered, expectations aren’t high. But if it performs well, the firm might take a stab at faster cars and classes in the future.
