1975 Compact Turbo Cup (Final Race Results)

Don’t despair! As results show, Kraziest (while a title I particularly enjoy), rarely means fastest!

Also, if you remember what we discussed you should totally be a new force to be reckoned with on the track!

I haven’t had any cars run in any competitions yet that use the principles you’ve taught me so I cannot be sure that my skillz can now pay the billz!

Alright, we have 6 competitors so far (plus the reference vehicle). Some of these cars are leaving people only with pocket change in their budget, which is a great thing to see.
Yes, I am sorry for having used it, but it is very good for a small fast car.
It is aerodynamic, light, has a big enough engine bay, everything you could want.

It becomes too monotonous, but which other body would I use?
The Golf is the only really viable solution, but it isn’t as good as this.
I was able to make something half-decent out of the 1969 compact body.

But yeah, the CRX body is just so good.

Here is my submission, it’s the 1975 Tishillyman Avīci Tigris.

You know, you don’t need to put a spoiler on a front, a lip also has down force effects.

Not as much as a wing, though. Perhaps he had tested both and found that the wing made his car faster around tracks.

No, but I just thought I would mention it. I didn’t know it did until I discovered it by accident.

Given it’s mer_at, I would say the use of the front wing is entirely intentional

As of currently, regardless of morphed size, the wings and lips still represent fixed arithmetic base values for both downforce and drag, depending on angle of attack as determined by the aero sliders. Also, exact position matters in how much they add downforce to the front/take from the rear, or vice-versa.

Of course it was intentional.
But i didn’t test much, it’s another <60min build.

YES! I GET TO MAKE FUN OF ANOTHER CAR WITH A CANARD! That will also totally be kicking my butt around the track…

I also added a front wing on my car after I took the photo, and I didn’t take another one because it looks terrible :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope my car does well, it is another 30 min build. I might have taken longer to write a PM than I did to make the whole car, because of how tired I was.

My first time entering one of these things.

The 1975 Massachusetts Motor Works* Foxboro TC 1.6T-R

*MMW for short

Entries are now closed, we have 11 racers.

Obligatory fancy charts and graphs.

We have a lot of power at work, here is the breakdown.

Here we go, this is the kw per kg of vehicle, as you can see strop is leading in this category.

Sportiness over tameness, we can see that we have a mixed bag here.

Finally, the cost, we can see that getting right up to the maximum value is easier said then done.

:open_mouth: my sport:tame ratio is uncharacteristically low, what is this!?

(Also LOL conan, I’m very much looking forward to what your car’s going to do on track)

As some of you may know. Avīci in Buddhism is the lowest Level of the “hell”.

The tracks are as follows. Trial Mountain, Daytona Sports Course, Mountain Ridge, Suzuka Circuit, Road To Highway, Daytona NASCAR 2-Lap.

As such here are results for Race 1.

ooh! I can already feel this is going to end up a very interesting contest! I haven’t yet looked at oppositelock’s Communist Cup entry, but I can see some resemblances in the results! (despite using completely different drivetrain)
