ERIN MOTOR COMPANY - 2016 AUTOMATION CHICAGO AUTO SHOW STAND
Welcome to the Erin booth at the ACAS 2016. The keynote is about to begin, which will be overviewing our news and latest cars.

i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s527/Mackiatoe/cas%205_zps3wuolqih.jpg
The first car to be shown is the 2014 Erin Berlose, our executive saloon and one of our flagship models, being facelifted for this year, shown alongside the Pureron 3.0l TDi TwinC engine. The car is capable of 40.0 mpg thanks to a lightweight CR Steel/Aluminium monocoque and advanced low-friction castings in the engine itself. Capable of 0-60 in 6.9 seconds and topping out at 152 mph, the Mk 5 Berlose continues Erin’s sporting pedigree while maintaining high standards of quality and comfort thanks to active suspension, full leather interior and a 9" touchscreen infotainment system standard on all trim levels. This facelifted version now also includes in-car WiFi and laser guided Collision Mitigation Systems. This is a true all-rounder, just as at home driving through town as it is cruising on the Autobahn. Prices start from £30295.

Second to roll out is the 2014 Erin Merna, also being facelifted for this year. The improved design now makes the Merna one of the most striking and elegant hatchbacks on the market, as well as achieving an exceptional 58.3 mpg, one of the highest economies for a petrol powered car. The Pureon 1.4l TDi TwinC engine makes a return this year, having debuted with this car on release. Now in its eighth generation, the Merna still embodies its slogan of “Practical Fun” with double wishbone suspension all around, a punchy 128 hp to play with, as well as 5 seats, a big boot and plenty of cabin space too. Excellent standards of safety have also been achieved with this model, meaning it has a 5 Star Euro-NCAP rating. This car will be taking part in the 2016 Automation Rally Championship Homologation later this year. Prices start from £15095.

The main announcement of the night, the latest project from our in-house tuning company The X Department; the ErinSport GPP-16 T1. The Grand Prix Prototype division was set up a few years ago to develop a car for the upcoming AGPS 16, and this is the first fully working model. The car features full carbon fibre chassis/body, a rear wing wider than some small nations and a 3.0l V12 producing 536 hp. The full details of the vehicle are being kept quiet for competition purposes. A full press release will be coming before the pre-season testing sessions, where we will also be revealing the livery for this year.

i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s527/Mackiatoe/cas%203_zpsxnadlz1d.jpg
Fourth to appear on stage is the Nardella Mk 2 concept, set to be released in 2018. The original version was launched to enter into the new budget sports car market, and the Mk 2 will continue this, but also be a pioneer in its market sector for efficiency, safety and affordability. The vehicle you see here has achieved 52 mpg in early tests, something we expect to improve slightly before release, whilst still being capable of 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and hitting a top speed of 150 mph. As little as possible has been put in the way of the driver and car with the Mk 2, with simple suspension, few extra driver aids and a low down seating position for maximum driving enjoyment. This car also previews our upcoming design style.

i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s527/Mackiatoe/cas%202_zps6ivghxr9.jpg
Our final announcement is the Berlose Concept, the lead car for our new design style. The focus with this style is on efficiency, reducing the number of vents and cut outs while still keeping reliability high. Chrome is making a big come back for this style too, with chrome highlights present around the vehicle. The lighting clusters are inspired by the previous style, but enlarged, as well as introducing new adaptive LEDs that will provide a dynamic lighting system. A new range of engines, the Genion range, will accompany this new style upon release.

This concludes the keynote for the Erin Motor Company this year. The full display is now open for viewing and we will be happy to take your questions.

I should really pick this thing up and get my “highlight reporting” up and running

This year at the Chicago International Auto Show, Atarashi is bringing a new concept car. The Taneuma is a powerful pony car that is distinctly Japanese.

The Taneuma not only is RWD, it utilizes a 1.8 Liter Inline-4 turbo that produces 231 HP and is already in use in our other cars.

The Taneuma not only is powerful, it can put the power down to the ground very effectively. Tuning of the chassis and suspension is done by our sports development team.

Of course, one cannot ignore the bold and powerful styling which reminisces of modern muscle cars. From the aggresive side profile to the softer yet stylish front and rear fascia, the Taneuma screams sporty. Even then, it remains a great handling car and it demonstrates the pinnacle of Atarashi’s design.

FAQ
Q: Will the Taneuma ever reach production?
A: Possibly. Currently it’s difficult considering our global platform, but you may see it in the not so distant future. wink

Q: Does the concept run?
A: Yes, it is actually a fully fledged street car that has been made to dare I say near-production car standards.

Q: Have you ever driven it? If so, how was it like?
A: Yes, I have. It’s as advertised; a very dynamic experience. The steering is very natural and has a lot of feel, and the manual gearbox is also very good.

Q: Who designed the Taneuma?
A: It was a competition between designers from Italy, Britain, South Korea, and California. California had won.
Ok, motoring journalist’s highlights added in the second post of this thread. More will come, as I only managed to cover the first day of the exhibition.
This is actually a very viable strategy that would work. “Stupid rich” people would shell out any cash to own something that nobody else has.

Like the W Motor Lykan Hypersport. Not the fastest car out there, but only 7, and it includes gold stitched seats and diamond encrusted headlights.

A bit of transmission and aero tweaking and the Stealth now does 6:40.58 around the Green Hell and has a top speed over 400 km/h. I really should take more time tune these extreme cars…
Ha, I was about to mention the Lykan! Certainly the Hyper exclusivity will work in your favour in terms of attracting rich customers. I guess my main concern is that the customer gets the best out of the product, which means optimal tuning.

GG certainly had to start out by hocking off their ultracars to the highest bidder, else the tooling costs and R&D would have seen them out of business within months. There is still a role for this business model, but I personally regard the general clientele (and how they regard cars or material things in general) with increasing distaste. I no longer want to make cars that sit in the garage or get loaned out to race drivers to chauffer their owners with more money than skill, or, worse yet, cruising around and revving uselessly outside Harrods. I’m shifting to pitching my cars to those who live and breathe the driving experience, who would pour their life savings into a car that they can access the performance of the cutting edge the world has to offer… And not be an oil baron to be able to do so.

I thought I’d never say that about GG. Goes to show how things change.

Considering it has a 0 comfort rating, it most definitely would not be driven around by such a rich clientele.

Tucked away in a corner of the show hall was something known only as “Pangea V12” a name as mysterious as the car that bears it. The only information was on a plaque, reading:

“V12, 60V DOHC, 12949cc. 1850 hp @8400 RPM, 1257 ft-lb @6800 RPM. Top speed: 272.4 mph/438.4 km/h. 0-62 mph/0-100 km/h: 2.3s. 1/4 mile: 8.7s. Standing km: 14.94s. Seats 4.”

Coureur Presents The 2016 XLA At The Chicago Auto Show

The XLA is a luxury sedan. There are 3 engine options and a rumor of a fourth one. A 2.5L Turbocharged i4, a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6, and a 5.0L Twin Turbo V6. There is a rumor of a 5.0 N/A V8 provided by CRG. Coureur is the luxury division of SpearMan, and has been around since 1985. Coureur Racing Group (CRG) has been around since 1993, when they entered the 1993 DTM championship.

A new Facciamo Concept, built in Germany, for Europe.

The 2018 Facciamo Zoltan Fighter Concept.

With a 3.0L Twin Turbo Inline 6, known in-house as the Q-44-OHK-8, producing around 400hp, this little machine is nippy. Unlike many other GAG company owned cars, this one’s turbo lag won’t kill your face.

~Vri and the GAG crew.

XLA definetly looks good !

More reviews in the second post. This is a LOT MORE to cover than I originally thought.

Coverage is excellent so far. Keep it up!

All the entries for 15.02 have been dealth with and covered in 2nd post. 16.02 coverage will be posted tomorrow (this writing stories thing is hard work actually)

My car was not included in the 15.02. Will it be included in 16.02?

you did unveil it on 16.02.2016, so yeah

Okay. Sorry about that, the forum said that it was 15.02 where I am so I got confused.

If the public reaction is positive, we might just consider bringing a reengineered version of the Alpine and Okavango to the united states, but unfortunately they might lose some of their original character…
In other news, Monolith has another surprise lined up for tomorrow…

When we first set up our exhibit in ACIAS, many people were baffled as to why we bothered showing the Monolith Alpine and Okavango even though neither of them is officially sold in North America. Some also complained that we were lazy for not bringing anything completely new to the table. As it turns out there was an intention behind that.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you the ALL NEW 2017 MONOLITH ATACAMA! http://i.imgur.com/3sUGW6J.png http://i.imgur.com/mwJ23G4.png
Developed in top secrecy over the past five years, the Monolith Atacama combines the rugged capability of the legendary Monolith Okavango with the fuel economy of the Monolith Alpine and the practicality and easy of use of the Monolith Neptune. For the first time ever, a Monolith truck will be sold on all continents simultaneously, yes even in the highly demanding US market. It is thus engineered to meet and exceed all existing regulations. Each engine option was carefully designed to meet the demands of the different markets. The North American version will receive the proven and flexible 3.75L V6 paired to a 9-speed Automatic transmission, pitting the Monolith Atacama right against the Jeep Wrangler. The european model will be sold exclusively with a new 2.4L Diesel engine also available in South America, Africa, Australia, South Korea and Japan. Those markets as well as the rest of the world will also be able to select a brand new 3.0L Flex-Fuel engine extensively tested in the roughest environments on the planet to ensure absolute dependability. The US market Atacama will start at $33,000, other markets might be cheaper than that.

We are also proud to announce that a new Monolith M-series is on the way. The all new M161 marks the return of the long running nameplate after a four year hiatus. It is available with the choice of a 3.7L I6 Diesel, a 4.9L V8 Diesel, the 5.2L IMP GE Series high efficiency V12 in two specifications, 275 and 375hp. As a bit of a bonus, we also consider an X trim with the special duty 7.8L IMP GL78EII V12 with 627hp. http://i.imgur.com/5boz4N7.png http://i.imgur.com/7K3NUE6.png Prices start at $78,595 for the I6 Diesel, and go up to $123,845 for the L12X trim. All Monolith M161 come fully equipped.

Finally, a vision of the possible future, the C12RT Concept truck. Based on an early version of the next generation Monolith Artisan trucks platform, the C12RT is a lifestyle oriented compact pick-up truck with classic retro design. We have two variants on display, a sports truck and an off road oriented SUV. Both are equipped with a 4.8L IMP GE Series V12. http://i.imgur.com/0oaYyLc.png http://i.imgur.com/KwHNL4r.png

Interesting designs. I like the originality of them; haven’t seen headlight shapes like that before, for example.

that C12RT deserve an award !

(I hope if releasing day by day format will be not cheating here squid  )

Airborne Automotive at their exhibit showed today one new car, the Knossos and basic specs of F15 Patricia well known from AMWEC 2015, this one from the start line.

First car, the Knossos, is a huge SUV that works as replacement for Arthemis, one of longest-produced vehicles for company which was also the only vehicle available in Africa oficially from 1990 to November 2006. New SUV is practically the opposite of it’s precedessor - it’s no longer spartan, it’s fitted with luxury but it’s still capable in offroad thanks to AWD and lifted suspension configured specially for mud roads and various surfaces (except rocks - this car is not rock crawler). It utilises hard long life road to be useful as in off-road, as on the street. Design features clues from newest Airborne cars, such as F15 Patricia, Cerera, Megi or even some clues from Auxuras vehicles, because some designer from them helped us (we won’t tell which one, due to his boss and wife  ). Knossos appears in three versions of engines, but the cars look the same in fact (except rims):

1. Standard (with turbocharged inline 6)
First engine available for Knossos is 2500cc inline 6 with turbocharging known from new Alpha, but tuned for moving such a heavy vehicle as the Knossos is. With tune-up to 400 hp, cutting redline down for better off-roading, automatic torque converter (which is uncommon gearbox in our company and in fact for now appears only in Knossos), McPherson struts in front and MultiLink suspension in rear this two ton tank can go to 100 km/h in time not exceeding 7 seconds and can reach acceptable top speed of 219 km/h.
Price (MY2016): 168.720 $

2. Knossos S (with NA V8)
Second engine that you can select for Knossos is V8 NA one delivered from Cerera and slightly detuned for better off-roading use (505 hp vs 494 - not really a difference, huh?). It features the same equipment as the I6 - just another engine. Of course, suspension is slightly stiffened in comparison to the weaker one, and the car is really faster - Knossos S can reach 254 km/h and 4.4 seconds to 100 with ease despite fact it weighs 2139 kilos! Currently it’s the heaviest car we offer in the company, by the way.
Price (MY2016): 204.390 $

3. Knossos Speed 12 (V12!!!)
The last one is the best one - what will happen if you will give Knossos S to Airborne Speed Division which is featured with speed freaks? Knossos Speed 12! It features V12 engine with no turbocharging specially made for Knossos. It has over 600 hp and with sequential gearbox it can move itself to 100 in unreal time of 3.5 seconds and can reach 290 km/h which pulls Knossos into performance area of Bentley Bentayga! The Knossos S12 is put on display in fact - don’t be fooled by V8 badges, it’s just our mismatch which we decided to trick out spy photographs.
Price (MY2016): 254.800 $

F15 Patricia basic specs:
Top Speed: ~340 km/h
0-100: ~3.3 sec
Engine: V6 DOHC 3899cm3
Maximum Power: 479 hp @ 7900 rpm
Maximum Torque: 461 Nm @ 6500 rpm
Weight: ~1150 kg

Airborne Automotive is open for interviews and questions, we will answer them all!
