2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Don’t forget to check out the Kimura sculpture, celebrating 70 years of rich history.

For 2019, Kimura commissioned artist Juliana Di Nicola to create a sculpture to capture the essence of Kimura’s past, present, and future. The 2018 Kimura K-F18 Formula 1 car lies on the left, whilst a 2019 Kimura Helruna KR-R sits upon the right. Both were bred by many, many years of motorsport history, including rallying, touring car racing, Super GT, and Formula 1. The two strong lines are connected by a simple curve that emulates the overall silhouette, representing Mount Asahi - the highest mountain in Hokkaido, the birthplace of Hokkaido Motor Company. The shape’s silhouette also resembles an H, an allusion to the company’s original name before being changed to Kimura in 1963.

Enjoy the show, and watch for Kimura’s cars to be out on the hill climb soon!
