I’ve done some tweaking and now my car makes 436hp, is it too much for a hot hatch?

2026 Perth Strada TCX - Performance, without dilution.
Unlike other cars, the Strada TCX was built for the track first. It’s 2.5L Turbo 5 cylinder gives it a nasty bite, while the 6-speed manual and Vector-AWD system delivers all 335hp to the ground smoothly. 6 selectable drive modes offer a variety of experiences. From the Track mode offering each driver input to be matched with immediate, mechanical precision, to the fuel economy mode providing over 30mpg* for daily drives and grocery runs.

None of the cars cited in the inspirations had that much - in fact, you’re treading on RS5 or A45 territory with that output - but I reckon that 330 horsepower or so should suffice.

CLARKSON: In the leaning tower
of Citroen,

I was starting to relax a bit.

She was very pretty.

She just liked it.

She wouldn’t like to go in
Hammond’s, 'cause that’s
stupid.

Jeremy, can I just say,
this is
the biggest entertainment

I’ve had on a road journey
in my whole life.

It’s absolutely hilarious.

CLARKSON:
It wasn’t hilarious, though.

And since
Hammond’s Cottage was
now suffering from subsidence,

we pulled in for some bodging.

-Hammond? We’ve done 20 miles.
-Yeah? Oh, yeah, I know.

At this rate, we’ll have to
stop nine times to rebuild
your shed,

-before we get there.
-No, no, no, no.

Is my hot hatch too fast? Im considering submitting a hot hatch that has 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, and can do 1/4 mile in 11.5 seconds plus it has 436 hp

What do you sacrifice for it?

This is my personal opinion, but higher power often comes with sacrifices. A big complex engine will have high maintenance costs. A big turbo may have a lot of turbo lag, take a long time to spool and not be very enjoyable. The engine may not be very economical if it has to make that much power, etc. etc.

Hot hatches are cars for the average joe who not only has to be able to afford the purchasing price, but also the costs to keep using it in their daily life.

it does 25.4mpg is that good for a hot hatch with v6

Oni Nodachi Type R (Hatch)

Colours

These cars are not a real product of any manufacturer, any likeness or other similarities to real brands is purely coincidence. Actual model may change in final submission. Oni and Zephorus do not condone breaking the law at any point. All stunts performed on a closed road with a professional driver.

Imo, a hot hatch should be a balance between performance and real-world usability. 3.4 seconds to 60 is great for a sports car, but it might not be good for real-world driving, commuting, stop-and-go traffic, etc. If it has the handling to back up the speed, and has sacrifices that make sense for the performance factor (like higher maintenance costs and less comfort, as Dragawn said above), it probably makes sense, but id mellow out the power for the sake of usability.

Umm, I’m afraid this breaks the wheelbase rule. Also, that’s not a very pleasant looking torque curve… Although economy is quite impressive for the power.

SABERIN Solsti Tipo N
Designed by Saberin. Engineered by Norðwagen.

Style

The Solsti Tipo N features the unique Saberin design language, merging new, angular design with smooth lines. Fanged LED head- and tail-lights emphasise its fierce, sporty presence, along with its wide shoulders.

A sporty diffuser and roof spoiler further reinforce its high-performance identity, inspired by the Sabersprint Rapiere Tipo N.

Its aggressively ramped, low roofline flows smoothly with the wind, increasing its aerodynamic efficiency.

Performance

The Solsti corners like it’s on rails with 1.12G on the skidpad, leveraging four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension, 275/295 low profile sports tires, with lightweight 18 inch rims. With a 6-speed manual transaxle, helical limited-slip differential and rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, the Solsti sprints to 60 in 4.3 seconds. Steering the partial-aluminium 1400kg Tipo N is aided by a variable-ratio electric power steering system. Performance-oriented active suspension and rear-biased weight distribution creates an unmatched, unique and deceptively quick driving experience.

Engine

The Solsti Tipo N is powered by an all-aluminium, naturally aspirated, 2.5-litre boxer 4 developed by Norðwagen. Exceptionally lightweight and power-dense, it produces over 300 horsepower while weight remains at 170kg. Long tubular headers and free-flowing performance intake create a fierce melody up to its redline of 9600 rpm; dual mufflers ensure it won’t bore you with a drone. Mature, high-quality port fuel injection retains excellent dependability while returning 7.9L/100km (29.8 mpg-us, 12.7km/L). 16 variable valves in twin-cam configuration with lift make sure that 80% of peak torque is available through to idle speed. Exceptional smoothness and specially forged crank and pistons, along with CnC machined connecting rods ensure a low-stress engine, even with its extremely high redline and bored-out cylinders.

Practicality

Five seats, five doors, a trunk and a frunk. The standard practicality of a hatchback with a little bit extra. 975L of cargo volume allows you to bring a grocery run home with ease, and 1200$ servicing costs ensure you’re not emptying your wallet for keeping this hot shot on the road. Advanced Driver Assist Systems featured in the SprintControl electronic assist package ensures your safety before an accident can even occur.

Interior

Three multi-function digital displays, a colour heads-up display projected on to the windshield, and a large central touchscreen provide all information and entertainment that is needed. Lightweight aluminium pedals with high-grip material inserts provide the support on the floor needed for peformance applications. The centre console is angled towards the driver for a cockpit feel.

Adjustable, partial leather bucket seats with breathable cloth ensure both excellent comfort and passenger cornering hold in the most demanding of driving situations. Seat heating also provides additional comfort in cold climates.
