'95 NASC (Major Announcements)

I just realized that my car can do full race on rich engine variant… what a strategy will that be

This looks really interesting, a lot of work has gone into this. I’ll look to submit a car soon.

I may or may not be considering 12 entries. 20 was a bit too much, but I think I can handle 12. We’ll see how this plays out. Hard to gauge how much interest there is when I’m getting entries from people I’m fairly certain haven’t even posted in this thread. I was pretty confident 10 would be sufficient when I was just basing it off of how many people posted in this thread showing interest. We will see. Just another reminder the due date has been extended to the 29th of January.

Just keep me posted on how you guys are doing. I’m open to change as long as feedback is given before, or even the day of, the deadline. Just not after.

Just a little update. I’ll probably give you guys a few days after the deadline to make any revisions if necessary (in case your submission isn’t valid or something else). Also, if you have already submitted, I’m totally fine with you submitting revisions if you think of something you want to change as long as they get to me before the deadline.

The deadline is here! (again)

reparing my car for resubmission I noticed a bug that active wing does not save it’s setting… sooo will you do it manually with every car or should we just tune the car without AW?

I’m doing it manually. I’ve already run into that problem with other submissions. It’s no big deal.

Great, thanks!

I’ll get my car sent to you at some point today.

Cheers - Racer13

I’ll be taking entries until about 4 AM (EST) on the 30th, so technically the due date is tomorrow…just very early tomorrow for some of us, or in my case very late with the way my sleep schedule has been going XD. I’ll put it this way, if you are a little late I won’t care, just keep in mind I’ll be preparing to run the first race so there may be some complications with a late entry.

I might bump the due date out to Sunday or Monday. There are a few names that haven’t made it into my inbox yet. I have 6 or so entries so far, including ones I got ages ago. Looks like we might struggle to hit 10 entries after all. I guess I can’t really say for sure until a few hours from now. I’m really set on getting at least 10 in before I start preparing.

EDIT: If I responded to your PM saying you needed to fix something, don’t worry about getting it in before the deadline. I’m giving everyone a few days after the deadline to fix their submissions if needed. Monday is the final extension I’m making. Sorry to anyone who was too busy to make it in, but I need to get this thing moving.

I have an entry almost ready. I have to get the naming thing and how to submit a car + 3 engines (export and add all to zip file I guess) and should be finished sometime on Sunday. It won’t be competitive, I’m thinking, as I can’t get anywhere near those 2 minute marks everybody else is gloating about.

Forget that I said anything about 2min, I did a mistake converting power/weight so I had too powerfull car…

Oh well, less work for me if we don’t get 10 entries XD. I’ll be surprised to hit 10, but I’m thinking 8 will happen. Not as exciting as a bigger race, but hopefully you guys don’t mind.

Final due date today! So far I have one entry pending, and everybody that is in the OP under APPROVED ENTRIES is in.

Alright. Entries are closed. I plan on holding the first race this weekend. Everyone try to get your race strategy sheets in before this weekend. The way these sheets will work is in between every race you will have an opportunity to submit a new sheet, but if you are happy with your current strategy don’t send me a new one and I will just use your strategy from the previous race. If you don’t turn in a strategy sheet for this race you will have a default strategy, so your car will sit on middle fuel mixture the whole race, change from drys to wets on the weather arrival lap, change from wets to drys on the weather departure lap, and you will take both fuel and tires under caution if your car is under 50% fuel or above 50% tire wear. During qualifying you won’t do anything special, you will just set a lap under normal conditions.

Ask questions about the sheets in here or via PM to me. Just a little tip, if it doesn’t fit into the qualifying, weather, caution, or general categories, it goes under commands.

Great, I am looking forward to first race
Sheets? Are there any pre-prepared ones? Is it OK if we just write strategy casual in pm in the form you demand?
Fuel consumption will be calculated with in game consumption in last trim tab right?

Yup. Last trim tab is where fuel consumption is derived from, and the “sheets” are just a PM in the format I demand more or less. I’m just calling it a sheet for whatever reason. The only pre-prepared one I have is the default, but you guys can share amongst yourselves. I might cook up a few pre-prepared ones, don’t know for sure on that yet though. As long as the strategy is organized well enough that I can easily convert it into my format, I’m ok with it.

Just got the base lap times in for the whole season for all the cars. There is one rivalry in particular I’m looking forward to. They take turns being ahead of each other by fractions of a second from track to track for the most part, even posting identical times on one track. We will see how pit stops, randomization, strategy etc. etc. work into that, but I think it’s going to be fun.

Also, when it comes to calculating wrecks, since the field is a lot smaller than I anticipated I will use my discretion to determine whether multi-car wrecks are realistic. For example, I’m not going to let the car behind you get involved in a wreck with you when it’s 10 seconds down the road :p.

Can you link the strategy sheets for those of us who are lazy?

In the OP click race strategy  there is no real “sheet” to fill
