Havent actually sent in my full size submission yet because i forgot to download the file to my phone but i got pictures of the beast and a bit of a back story for it also

On December 1962 a Miss Enda Figaro purchased a brand new for the model year 1963 Titan Kennedy 363 Special in fact one of the first off the assembly line. She bought this car at the ripe old age of 63 and enjoyed it so much she never felt the need to replace it. Then in the year of 1989 lost her license and the car sat outside until she passed in 2004 where the car was then given to her great grandsons who revived an rebuilt it into the demolition derby monster known as “#105 Edna’s Sledgehammer” (stock variant shown for comparison)

With a little less than 12 hours before Submissions (officially) open up, please make sure to go over the rules and make suggestions for changes! I dont want something to pop up halfway through the competition if at all possible!

Can we post for more than one class or just pick the one we wont the most?
So far it looks like a heavy field (pun intended)

You can post one car for every class, yes.

Well right now its less of a field and more of a empty parking lot. Hopefully it starts filling up. Honestly I have seen a lot of people making compacts for this challenge on discord.

I plan on building one for each of the classes also could i possibly go smaller then the minimum size for the compacts or is it a hard limit on the wheel base

as long as you can make it seem realistic (and at least a little safe) then yeah you can. Just dont make it too too small!

Ok fair enough i was just looking into a few different rides and lord amighty i didnt know the old school mini cooper only had a wheel base of 80 inches. The first gen mx5 is 89 inches same with the geo metro

Submissions are (officially) open! (Feel free to repost your ads below if you posted them earlier. (although this isnt required.))

1970 something VMC Omega has been fitted with gear and is read for the compact demo derby with its massive 1.4L engine.

(sorry for the lack of back story me and my 3 kids got covid, first time since 2024 so I’m a little under stimulated to do a full write up currently)

Wilsons, a Giant that has fallen from grace. Once the most luxurious car manufacturer of the 60´s and 70´s, Wilsons has turned into a manufacturer of cheap, soulless cars in the 1980´s and 90´s before bankrupcy in 2003.

This is one of the last models that Wilsons ever produced, the Nash, build from 1995 to 2001. A commercial success, being used as police cruisers, rental cars and taxis. There were two engine options, a 3.0l V6 and a 2,5l I4. The V6 was notoriously unreliable and thus the I4 is the more commonly found engine in these cars.

This particular Nash was build in 1996 and used as Taxi until 2011, when it was decomissioned due to engine failiure. It was then standing in a unused abandoned warehouse, where it started to rust and get damaged by teenagers exploring the warehouse. When the warehouse was being demolished, the car was auctioned off for 100$. The engine was replaced and reinforcements were put into place to turn this car into a viable derby car. The right front door had to be replaced due to major rust build-up, which would have caused the door to fall off after an impact.

Now the #24 “Crazy Taxi” is ready for action, competing in the compact class.

Not entirely alot is known about the history of this particular entry other then that is is a 1932 Zodia Model 8 with a 4L V8 swapped into it and that is has been a demo derby car back during the 1970s where it was fairly competitive against most machines its size but the previous owner had grown to old for competition and it was retired to his barn until being rediscovered in 2005 and brought back to life for the 06 season as the rusted “#80 The Red Barron”

And theres an example of a stock model 8 down on the end of the line

And despite how small it looks its actually a midsize with a wheelbase of 102 inches just really tall i guess

The 1992 Zodia Minnie was not a remarkable car by any stretch of the imagination it was merely a disposable appliance to be used up and tossed when its done and this example is no different making around 85 hp to the front wheels and being a faily zippy car makes it a solid pick to be pulled out of the scrap yard and reborn as #0 the ugly duckling
