Ankomst Automotive - Envy Never Rests

Following the announcement of Ankomst’s 1952 model year line-up, we are ready to release the specifications of Ankomst’s newest engine, the CV8-48NA-52.
This flat-plane V8 produces 225 hp and 373 nm of torque. With a low redline of 4500 rpm, this engine is great for applications requiring low-end power, such as towing, hauling, and driving the whole family around.
The following picture gives a detailed look at the specifications of the new engine, and what buyers can expect in terms of power, reliability, maintenance, and economy.

ALG 52 is awsome. All your designs are fresh and creative.High level of details.Keep it up.

Thanks

Yeah these are really good, and have a very Scandinavian feel to them imo.

Ankomst automotive is proud to release the specifications for its updated inline 6 engine, the CI6-26NA-52. This engine is a direct descendant of the original I6 that started it all, but has been updated to provide better performance and fuel economy.

Today, Ankomst Automotive comes before the world to announce an internal scandal that has rocked the company to its very foundation. It was discovered a few days ago that the engineering team behind our latest V8 engine (CV8-48NA-52) embezzled project funds. This has cost the company tens-of-thousands of dollars and has destroyed the trust placed in the engine design team. All of those found responsible have been fired and a team has hastily been put together in order to get he company back on track. It was also found that the V8, although producing more power, weighed significantly more than our updated I6 and produced slower lap times across all of our production vehicles. Due to this scandal we have decided to discontinue the CV8-48NA-52 and are in the midst of a complete redesign of our V8 engine. We have set the following goals for our new V8:

  • Must use existing hardware developed for the '52 I6 engine
  • Must produce more power than the I6
  • Must produce faster lap times than the I6
  • Must cost less than $1000 in materials to produce

We hope to have the new engine ready for use in all 1952 model year cars when they become available. Again Ankomst would like to apologize and reiterate our stance on quality and integrity moving forward.

Ankomst’s redesigned '52 V8 engine is finally ready for production and utilizes almost 75% of the same components as our I6 engine. This V8 shares the same bore and stroke as our I6, the same dual overhead cam and valves, and many of the same internal components. This allows us to very quickly and cost effectively build our V8 engines which will allow us to have them ready for the 1952 model year. Below you will find the specifications of our new V8 engine.

Ankomst Automotive would like to officially unveil its newest automobile that will be available for the 1952 model year, the Snabbt '52. Snabbt in Swedish means quickly, or to do something in a fast manner and we believe this perfectly describes what we are trying to accomplish with this vehicle.

The Snabbt '52 exclusively utilizes our CV8-35NA-52 engine which provides for a quick and sporty ride. This sporty ride however, does not overly compromise on the interior quality and ride comfort consumers have come to expect from Ankomst.

(What do people think of the gifs for car debuts? Too annoying, too much information crammed on them? Other ideas?)

I think the gifs are fantastic, perhaps lower the change interval (take longer) and if able without ballooning the file systems size, have a smoother fadein/out.

You have some nice delivery methods that are inspiring me to improve mine as well.

Yeah, after looking them over I was thinking of changing the fading and how long they stay on each picture. I mainly made it short because I wanted people to realize it would change and not just scroll past and miss the other pictures. Might just put a warning about using gifs so people don’t miss anything.

Just wanted to let anyone that actually checks my posts know, I am working on finishing the 1952 lineup but between school, major basement remodel, and getting ready to leave the country for a few weeks I haven’t really had time to work on anything. Will have the 1952 lineup finished before I leave and will hopefully have free time for the summer to ramp up my game time. #ThingsAreComing

Ankomst has begun building a new race car for the upcoming 1955 Bavarian Racing Challenge (BRC). After much discussion between Ankomst and other participating racers, we have built two different vehicles and will be evaluating them in the coming days to determine which will be used for the main event.

The first car, the Rusa '55, is built on a modified chassis allowing for significant weight and aerodynamic advantages over similar cars being produced in 1955. This car has not been fully optimized yet and will most likely be utilized for the main race events.

The second car was built in order to determine just how far the 1955 coupe body, available for mass production, could be pushed for race purposes. Dubbed, The Beast, this coupe style car almost matches our custom built vehicle above, but suffers from poor reliability and reduced top speed.

Ankomst would like to unveil the Stockholm '52, the successor to the extremely popular Stockholm '45. Featuring updated taillights and an optional V8, the Stockholm '52 is ready to take you anywhere in style, comfort, and safety.

Love the production value. I have an issue with the Snabbit though. The front grill with the chrome trip and exposed bumper, and the side mounted intake vents really belong a much more modern car than 1952.

Was going for something very different and really liked the way the grills looked, even if not really period correct :stuck_out_tongue:

Ankomst Automotive would like to announce its final submission for the upcoming 1955 BRC race. Ankomst has run short on time to fine tune its Russa '55 race car and has decided to go against the grain by submitting The Beast for the final competition. The majority of competitors in the 1955 BRC are using small roadster bodies that allow for quick acceleration, high top speed, and high maneuverability, but Ankomst has decided that its coupe style racer would make for a more interesting race experience. The Beast will begin practice runs for the 1955 BRC soon and hopes to achieve a spot in the top 20 or possibly 15.

A look at The Beast and some of its relevant stats.

Ankomst would like to unveil the engine powering The Beast for the 1955 Bavarian Racing Challenge, The '55 RV8. Low weight, decent reliability, high power, and a good torque curve were difficult to achieve due to technological and budget constraints, but we believe we have found a happy medium. Making 107 hp per litter, this small V8 provides plenty of power to get The Beast moving from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 s, 80-120 km/h in just 3.6 s, and achieve a top speed of 221.9 kmh.

Ankomst is hard at work developing its 1957 model year lineup. Here is a small teaser of our new luxury sedan, the Satt '57.

Wait… so is envy on vacation, or does it never rest? It’s so confusing

Both! :stuck_out_tongue:
