That might be the most detailed 90s Action I’ve seen.
I didn’t even notice some of the other details in that initially. So well done, cyberpunk and yet also period-correct. Great job!

My first real go at creating an advert for Arion! I’m pretty glad with how it turned out, and would love constructive criticism and to know your reaction to it! Also many thanks to @CorsicaUnknown for helping me out with guidance on editing this together!

With the recent success from the newly released Arargte, Aquila, and Starling, the long awaited forth re-incarnation of the Bullet was released to fit neatly in place of the discontinued Cygnus S500 edition, as well as improve upon it. Using a mixture of aluminium and carbon fibre chassis the Bullet became slightly lighter, but more interestingly, the 5.0L V16 used in the S500 was exchanged for a newly produced 3.7L N/A V16 with a bit less power. However thanks to the lightened chassis and AWD system, it was a couple second faster around the Air Field track, on top of sporting more modern looks.

With the comeback of the Bullet name, a few new colours got revised and released with it; White Shine III, Solde Blue III and Classic Red II, a complete overhaul to the original V1 Bullet paint. The abstract new curvy style gave the Bullet a new look entirely, and it sure is an eye-catcher with it’s low front end, and swooping fastback rear. Aerodynamics were key to aiding the Bullet be faster as a replacement model to the S500 along with it’s lightness and new engine, so they worked the wind into big side vents and dual naca ducts on the rear hatch. The active aero flaps on the front and rear wings aided it in braking and in steering around corners, when the car goes over 40mph.

The slick, sexy and contemporary new looks alongside outstanding performance gathered a multitude of buyers. Thanks to this new impulse in the market, Arion Automotive grew to be much more stable as a company, and decided to invest within it’s self for the future.

The Bullet also came in automatic transmission, with slightly reduced performance and MPG figures, but being a bit more comfortable from ease of use. It was a bit more to upgrade to the automatic, but it seemed to be a more popular choice than manual to some markets.

The “HRPM” in the engine name stands for High Revolutions Per Minute, as this is one of the highest revving engines Arion have produced, which helps create a very unique, desirable exhaust note.

The Bullet IV achieved a speedy 1:19.85 around the air field track, along with a 1/4 mile time of 13.27s. When tested at Bruntingthorpe proving ground, it managed to hit it’s estimated top speed of 182mph before braking.

To go with the new looks of the Bullet, a revised facelift Starling got released in limited numbers with Sport and GL trims being the only options. The Starling GL was a bit more tame, but was quite a lot more comfortable than it’s other trims, thanks to the softer suspension and plush hand crafted interior, which followed onto the exterior with a thin strip of chrome elegantly flowing around the car, with an extended Bullet insignia along the re-worked suicide doors.

In 1994 the third generation Arion Heron was released, the “C” model. It displayed a much more modern curvy body compared to the last generation in the mid to late 80’s. The modern 90’s Arion styling was recurring in it’s design, sharing similar headlights and bumpers to the other models in the range, although all sized and shaped differently to add some diversity.

The Arion Perseus was cut off production in '93 to make way for the Heron, having it’s own Spyder variation as well, which did very well in sales. Not to say the coupe didn’t, because it was sold very well on it’s own accord. The Spyder was much heavier because of the automatic roof technology. The roof could be deployed by a button on the wheel at below 30mph, and within 30 seconds the roof would be down for an excellent open top experience.

With the newly formed Group GT1 class in 1994, Arion and Cosmos got together and figured why not use the gargantuan 9.0L V16 in the Arargte to it’s full limits, and so they did. Re-working the Arargte into a lighter prototype coupe body with a much lower slung racing suspension setup and 2 seater sporty racing interior, it was ready not only for the track, but as a road going version. Presenting the Arargte GT1.
Featured in Arion Classic Red II
The idea of using a 2+ ton car as a base for racing is quite ludicrous in it’s self, but fits Arion almost perfectly. The revised coupe Arargte prototype GT1 body was completely re-done, with wild aero and more cooling ventilation as well as trim removal in areas and lightweight racing mirrors.
Featured in Arion Cosmos Pearl III
Cosmos were behind the revised monster engine: Producing almost 1,200hp (1,187.6hp) the Arargte GT1 certainly had the power to go straight into the racing circuit. However with the engine being at it’s absolute limits, it came as a double-edged sword, reliability of the engine was almost cut in half, as it needed replacement parts every so often, especially internals.

The road version was limited to 20 cars which were all sold in 1994. They came in a selection of only four colours that were all closely knitted into Arion’s company & racing heritage: Sterling Silver, Classic Red, Cosmos Pearl, and British Racing Green.

Only 4 of the racing version (GT1R) were produced, which all competed within many events from Endurances to one-off cups. Throughout the racing seasons, the Arargte GT1 was quite an oddball compared to what else was out there. But nonetheless, it did well enough to gather a few podiums and average about 7-8th place most of the time.
In testing, both cars did around similar laps and speed averages. For the GT1-R: It could hit an outrageous 251mph down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans. 0-62mph was done in 5 seconds, and a 1/4 mile time of 12.31s was done. Around the Air field track, it got an impressive 1:17.55. As for the GT1 Road car; 249mph, 0-62mph in 5s, 1/4 mile time of 12.19s, and a 1:17.92 around the Air field.

In the autumn of 1994, an unexpected move was made to push the ECC into extremely limited production, using the concept shell as a base with minor revisions to make it road legal as well as less high end materials, the Type-R road version was released.
Featured in Arion White Shine III
The outstanding small supercar made a big dint into the market amazingly, but due to it’s very low amount of models produced per year, not many were sold even with high demand. From the concept, the 199I4 engine was tuned up more so for a sportier appeal that still maintained it’s efficiency in environmentally friendly-ness as well as emissions. It roughly averaged about 41-70mpgs, which was still very outstanding, especially for what was offered: A small mid-engined luxury boutique supercar.
Featured in Arion Sterling Silver IV
The unique looks and style of the ECC marked it down in the history books along with it’s statistics on making a difference to the way we treat the environment. Having fun whilst being economical was the ECC’s main aim, and it delivered. 0-62mph in 4.60s, a top speed of an incredible estimated 213mph, as well as a 1/4 mile time of 12.90s, and air field track time of 1:22.63, the ECC sure was one mad micro machine.

With the coming of the road going version, a very special Cosmos limited edition was released by special offer to patrons of Arion. Investors and long-time fans got the word, and within a couple days, the 11 special versions designated to be produced were sold out. The reason behind such a small amount was that Cosmos had produced a car much faster than the Bullet IV, which would severely impact the company if gone full production.
Not only would the Bullet IV be outdone, but the performance of the Cosmos with the V8 used from the Arion Dune as a base was astonishing. 0-62mph in 3.40s, a top speed of an insane estimated 237mph, as well as a 1/4 mile time of 11.35s, and air field track time of 1:16.71. The ECC Type-R Cosmos became an instant obscure rare hypercar of legend.

In 1995, Arion was doing extremely well in terms of sales thanks to their diverse lineup, from Aquilla to Spica, they were all gathering lots of money to the company and gaining a long line of new fans and returning buyers all the time, making a great impact into the economy. Because of this, the head managers of Arion and Aruna Jr. agreed to expand the company further, buying a new plot of land for further technologies as well as extra production lots. The old land in North Yorkshire was left for the more low-end production but high-end quality cars, as well as the Cosmos division of the company. Aruna Sr. now in his later years, accepted his son’s offer to open the new location of the firm by cutting a big Arion Classic Red coloured banner at a grand opening, which offered lots of new jobs as well as junior and apprentices’ roles to teach the youth to one day become the role models of the future. With this new investment, Arion reached out to companies across the world to expand their market and arranged more trade deals with Sisten. They also contacted IkaMagic, a rising Japanese firm who produced abstract boutique cars. IkaMagic and Arion had talks, they agreed to work together making cars for UK and Japanese markets sharing the same platform, but with different engines and styling.

Introduced in 1996, the second generation LAB was Arion’s first car to be produced and sold in Japan, being not just exported there. The LAB was a collaboration with IkaMagic, where Arion would produce the chassis, drivetrain and suspension, then both teams would go and add their own produced engine & body styling to the car. To sell alongside the standard LAB, a “Kei-Sport” trim level was made, featuring a sporty interior, and racy plastic lower bodykit. The suspension was switched from Hydrodynamic to Electromagnetic on the Kei-Sport, for a slightly lighter ride, but it revived criticism because of the lax feeling between the road and driver.

Released to the UK market, and imported anywhere else, the LAB UK-Spec had the same 660cc flat 6 engine, but bored out to it’s actual 958cc size. This dramatically improved performance over the J-Spec version, and in doing so was sold much more than the lesser Kei specification version.

The Kei-Sport trim was sold in the UK with the same engine. It was much more popular than the actual Kei regulations version, and became somewhat a cult classic from it’s lightness and low-powered thrilling ride along with fantastic MPGs and emissions, being low on insurance, tax, and fuel was a winner, but it also delivered smiles all around from it’s low-end, yet fun performance.
