OK, I have four different ideas for the next round of ARM, and since it can really be a hit and miss with ARM, I want to give you the possibility of choosing the theme/themes you might be interested in. Without revealing the exact car in my thoughts, I give you a hint of the theme behind the base car here.
- Pre-War Americana
- Malaise era exotic
- Boring spec 80s German premium
- Y2K era workhorse
Vote for ALL the themes you might be interested in, not only the one that seems to be the most interesting for you, because this is a way of seeing what the general interest seems to point towards. Also, if you already know that you won’t enter ARM no matter what, I suggest you to stay away from voting since that will skew the results a bit and make them less helpful. Notice that what I mean is not that “I expect you to enter ARM if you vote”, because this is only a way to check which theme people are most interested to build further on and nothing else.
I will check the results at friday the 10th of januari, 5 PM CET, and make a decision from that.

If it’s allowed to lobby for the one I prefer, here is my reasoning in favor of 2000s workhorse:
You could have many ideas attached to it, and it still wouldn’t be too painful to modify.
A malaise exotic or a German premium would be biased towards keeping them “what they were but better”, and a prewar car would be difficult to modify and a clear invitation to go ham on (whatever)punk mods. I wanna rice a Fiat Panda idc idc

Yes, I even encourage you to have discussions on rhe subject since I just want the idea that will be enjoyed by the most out of the four I came up with.
“Malaise era exotic” could easily be cars like the Bricklin SV1 or Triumph TR7 - where there’s not a lot to preserve - but it’s a fair point.
My question is… How many fixtures will each car involve, and how versatile are the bodies involved? Pre-War Americana is really lousy with builds that require a huge mass of fixtures and bodies that can’t really do much. Malaise exotic can end up like that too, needing a mess of body molding to look decent - which makes the car harder to mod.
All cars have body equivalents in game that are close enough to the original to not need a gazillion of patch/mold/3d-work.
OK, poll has closed, malaise era exotic it is then. Expect a thread to be up in the near future.
