Maybe get your tech suppliers to use a bank of flash drives, so you don’t destroy the platters.

Edit: actually, i meant an array of USB ports, so you can change individual ones when they fail, instead of losing a huge single SSD at once

you mean an ssd. For what its being used for, there is no advantage to ssd. A regular hard drive would be sufficient.

edit: well, the way you wrote it initially was rather vague. USB’s are standard, in this day and age, even the cheapest POS vehicle made has them.

Introducing the Latest from Atlas Automotive, The Atlas Stealth Sports car(mid level).

Repost from 2018 pebble beach(to keep it from getting lost and consolidate with my main company topic).

1982 Atlas LM056 #002 Atlas Racing Team

Developed in 1982, the Atlas Racing Team #002 LM056 was entered into the 24 hours of Le mans. The LM056 was the successor to the LM038 and saw 2 wins in its season. The 3.0L Flat 12 was replaced by a 3.2L twin turbocharged Flat 8 for the 1982 season. The signature magnesium wheels were carried over, because they worked so well and were still extremely light, so it was easier to keep them instead of investing additional budget on developing new rims. The new Aluminum monocoque and Fiber glass tub were extremely light, bringing the weight to 1850lbs, which was 47 pounds lighter than the preceding LM038.

the engine, the LM32 DE TT motor was an entirely new development using the underpinnings of the LM30 DE Flat 12 that preceded it. Using a new Aluminum casting technique, a lighter block and heads were made. The Turbochargers were made out of a combination of alumium and light weight steel(mostly used on the surface, with the core being made from aluminum). They made 15 psi of boost, which helped the engine to produce 610 horsepower and 436 lb-ft of torque.

The LM056’s career had 2 1st place wins, 3rd, 7th, and 9th place finishes in various races. Th LM056 was eventually replaced with the LM064 for the 1984 season.

Specifications:

Engine: 3.2L Flat 8 Twin Turbo DOHC Horsepower: 610hp @ 7500rpm
Torque: 436 lb-ft @ 7200rpm Top speed: 190mph
Weight: 1850LB(dry) 0-60(MPH): 2.85s

(Note: stats won’t match in automation in regards to weight and 0-60 because it doesn’t allow for racing modifications in terms of race tires, straight cut gearing, and weight saving techniques(and its odd weight values)).

Repost from New york international 2019:

2019 Atlas Zeta

The Atlas Zeta is a call back to the original Atlas Velocity that was sold in limited numbers back in 1972. Only 6 Atlas Zeta’s have been produced, each model has a plate with the signature of each engineer involved in its creations. The interior is made from high quality Carbon fibre and alcantara(think Sesto elemento) and is hand made just like everything else in the Zeta.

The engine in the Zeta is a 12 cylinder Flat engine(known as the Spirit series of flat egnines), an engine rarely seen in the automotive world anymore. 5.4L of displacement and ceramic titanium turbochargers as well as generous use of light weight titanium and aluminum within the engine itself allow it to reach an astronomical 1,100 BHP at 9900rpm. All that power is put through the C12 Competition Straight cut sequential gearbox and the advanced Razor All wheel drive system.

The brakes utilized are 6 piston brakes with carbon ceramic rotors to handle the extreme power generated by the Spirit flat engine. The Rims are carbon fibre racing rims that see use in several other cars including last years ST-R(which had a 2 model run). Sticky race tires and racing grade Aerodynamics help keep the Zeta glued to the asphalt with an average of 1.47g’s.

The Atlas Zeta is an exclusive car, #000(the car on display) is going to Atlas’ headquarters to sit in the main lobby alongside the original Velocity 7.36 edition, the Atlas Vector V16, and the first Atlas ST-R. The other 5 will be sold to private collectors.

Specs:

Engine: Spirit series 5.4L F12 TFSI DOHC Transmission: C12 Competition Straight cut sequential
Horsepower: 1101 bhp @ 9900 rpm Torque: 691 lb-ft @ 7300rpm
Weight: 2600 lb Skidpad: 1.47g(average)
0-60(mph): 2.2s Topspeed: 233mph(drag limited)
1/4 mile: 9.1s MPG: 8.7

Cost: $1.5 million(USD)

Repost From 2019 Goodwood festival:

While not a sports car or even a super car like many come to expect from Atlas, the Omega is no less sporty or performance oriented than any other Atlas vehicle. The Omega combines SUV utility and capability with the heart and soul of a pure bred sports car. The results speak for themselves, with impressive performance figures and quality production.

Atlas Omega S

The base model S comes well equipped with high quality interior and infotainment systems(including limited HUD capability similar to the Cosmos Vector HUD). However, the main feature of the Omega is the QN42 DE motor under the hood. Front-mid mounted and balanced to give the engine a lower center of gravity for improved the handling, allows the Omega S to reach 0-60(mph) in 4.6 seconds and give impressive handling generating 1.17G(with rear wing deployed).

The QN42 should be familiar, its also present on the Quantum line as one of the main engines. In the Omega it generates additional power thanks to an improved exhaust and intake. 488hp and 362LB-FT respectively. This power is put to the ground via the newest version of the edge AWD system and the A94 semi-automatic transmission(with paddleshifters for a bit quicker shifts on track). In addition, the QN42 has cylinder deactivation that works in conjunction with the A94’s eco automatic mode to give improved fuel efficiency after track days are finished.

Cost: $105,000(est.)

Specs:

Engine: 4.2L FSI V8 DOHC Transmission: A94 Semi-automatic(with paddleshift)
Horsepower: 488 hp @ 8200rpm Torque: 362 lb-ft @ 6200rpm
Weight: 4237lb Skidpad: 1.17g
0-60(mph): 4.6s Top speed: 155 mph(electronically limited)
1/4 mile: 13.02 MPG: 17.0 mpg(23.5 mpg with cylinder deavtivation and transmission in ECO mode)

Atlas Omega V

The V model of the Atlas Omega pushes the performance even further than the base model, adding twin turbo chargers to the engine and equipping the F8 Sequential gearbox for quick shifts. Power is pushed to an impressive 668 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque. This improvement to performance makes the Omega V the fastest (non electric/hybrid)SUV to date with a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds.

In addition to the improved power, additional aero and weight saving elements help improve the handling and keep the Omega V glued to the asphalt. But not all the improvements in the V are performance oriented, the interior has additional alcantara/real leather and now includes the full Vector HUD. In standard operating mode(demonstrated in booth) shows as a light blue and green accents showing gas, lane assist and blind spot indication. In sport mode, changes to a Orange and yellow accent, showing current HP/Torque and RPM. Finally in velocity mode, it shows as Red/Gold Accent, showing lap time/number of laps remaining, Boost PSI, and shift indicator.

Overall, the Omega V should more than satisfy any performance enthusiast as well as give them the utility they need for everyday driving.

Cost: $135,000(est.)

Specs:

Engine: 4.2L TFSI V8 DOHC Transmission: F8 Sequential Paddleshift
Horsepower: 668 hp @ 8500rpm Torque: 472 lb-ft @ 7000rpm
Weight: 4352lb Skidpad: 1.22g
0-60(mph): 3.2s Top speed: 180 mph(electronically limited)
1/4 mile: 11.35 MPG: 16.0 mpg(22.5 mpg with cylinder deavtivation and transmission in ECO mode)
