How can the twin-turbo Shelob be 0.1s slower to 60 mph than the Ungoliant, even though its top speed is over 15 mph higher? At any rate, they look like late 90’s leftovers from unused design studies of an S1 Exige/MkIV Supra mashup that somehow made it into Burnout 3.
Wheelspin. Gearing. Power curve. Mass/Inertia.
2018 Valta Kyori
The wait is finally over. Today, we unveil to you our all-new brand under the Evgenis Automobile Group that will target a completely new market as well as extend upon our offering in existing markets. The first model we shall be unveiling is the Valta Kyori, a truly modern and sophisticated family car for the budget conscious. Thanks to the shared policy between the two brands, we have been able to offer the knowledge, engineering, and technology you would find in Evgenis models still giving you some of the Evgenis Group ethos of “Premium, standard.” Valta, on the other hand, is here for another purpose to truly express the necessity of accessibility to freedom in motion - “Motion Matters.”
DESIGN
Valta still holds the same strong values in design as those in the Evgenis lineup. Once more, Valta models will hold a consistent, running theme between models to make them undoubtedly part of the brand, but each model will have its own design to allow a sense of individuality.
The Kyori boasts a bold front end, with large headlamps with a chrome strip running from them into the front grille section, allowing for an effortless flow from one element to the other, with brand name situated above. Beneath this, the typical Valta trait of large vents and grille connecting both is apparent, with the number plate situated between all elements. The rear continues the bold but seamless theme, with a modern tail light cluster connected via a chrome strip, with the brand logo above and number plate beneath. The lower section gives a sportier stance thanks to the integrated exhaust system, once more interconnected by chrome elements.
As standard, the Kyori comes with a traditional headlamp set up, whereas today you see the Valkyrie with the upgraded system offering the new, trademark LED system consisting of two horizontal lengths connected at the inner part, with this serving the dual purpose of daytime running lights and indicators. Towards the rear, the lighting system follows the same theme, with a traditional setup as standard or an optional, more advanced one integrating LED technology.
The interior continues the similar trends found on the exterior of clean and modern lines that run continuously around the vehicle.
ENGINES
The all-new Kyori will be available with just one petrol engine from launch in all initial markets, with this being a brand-new 1.5-litre engine consisting of four cylinders with two power outputs depending on the chosen model. The base version has 100 bhp on tap, allowing for sufficient power in all situations, or a more advanced 136 bhp thanks to a turbocharger, allowing for more sporty driving as well as class-leading fuel economy of just 4.5l/100 km in real-world driving. More engines will be added in markets outside of developing regions in the future.
There will be two transmission offerings in total; either a six-speed manual developed by the Evgenis Group or a simplified version of their existing automatic gearbox, once more being a six-speed affair. Both offer effortless shifting and they have been developed to benefit the driving experience, performance, and fuel economy.
TECHNOLOGY
Thanks to the assistance from the development of advanced technologies from Evgenis Automobiles, Valta gets a fantastic array of technology to use within its lineup that will allow a wider reach of said technology to more developing markets. The Kyori is no exception to this, with a great offering being available to potential purchasers.
Autonomy is an ongoing development in the most advanced of cars, but the Kyori will still offer basic autonomous features as standard across the range, such as automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. Optionally, the Valta can be fitted with an “Advanced Autonomy Pack”, which will allow further features such as blind spot monitoring and autonomous parking features.
Another key option to the Kyori is the possibility to equip a “Parking Pack”, that will fit the Kyori with surround parking sensors and rear-view camera, as well as add the addition autonomous assist of rear blind spot monitoring that will stop the car if another approaches when you are reversing.
The Kyori will have two different options when it comes to the infotainment. The standard system features Bluetooth with voice commands, plus a display that will show key information about the car, audio, and other features. Optionally, the Valta Connect with 7" touch-screen display can be equipped, adding intricate graphics and more advanced accessibility, while also adding the ever-popular Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the infotainment.
INTERIOR
Although the Valta ethos and the Kyori itself don’t fall under the premium category of automobiles, the interior hasn’t been forgotten about and will still of a quality finish, but truly has a focus around accessibility and practicality.
We have completely avoided using truly cheap materials in order to give the interior a quality feel as well as a high standard of durability to make the interior feel like it could truly stand many years of hard motoring.
All models come with five seats, with the rear seats folding down 60:40 as well as a folding passenger seat in order to allow for a considerably larger cargo space if need be. The interior has been designed so that five, full-size adults can feel comfortable on long journeys within the Kyori.
DRIVING
Due to the Kyori’s wide reach in the international market, the driving setup has to suit the requirements of various different areas, meaning that the Kyori has been set up to offer an incredibly balanced blend of both sporty driving dynamics and smooth ride comfort.
In towns and cities, you will find the Kyori deals with the road surfaces with comfort and ease, as well as being a true doddle to live with thanks to the light and responsive steering plus a high sense of a agility. That thing’s worth more than my house… (by a considerable margin).
Man.
Why this concept can’t beat 400km/h with power better than almost 1300bhp?My cars with 1100hp can beat that speed
Maybe because your cars have low drag and low downforce made for top speed while the Boqliq has high drag and high downforce made for handling.
