And there we have it! All the cars pictured above will be entered into the final round of voting, which I will start once we’ve had some time to take in and read the results.
There were some really close pollings here, so even if you weren’t a winner, don’t feel down! And hey, there’s always the next show!
If you were an award winner, please feel free to copy your award badge and use it however you like (make sure to copy image address it as its a .png), it’s proof of your victory
Thankfully we only one tie-breaker, the Performance Vehicle category - I went for the Quasar just because I prefer the styling and would rather own than that the brilliantly named SSP4R. Just something about the idea of a Brazillian hot-hatch, ya know…
Stay tuned for round two voting!
#Round 2 Voting
This is it then folks, the one you’ve all been waiting for. The voting for Best in Show is now open!
Voting rules are exactly the same.
###Polling closes at January 29th at 20:00 GMT - Countdown Clock Here!
Monolith Atacama nominated for best in show. I can die now.
I think extra props goes to @phale for not only using those headlights but actually making them look good Many a time I have tried and failed.
p.s. I’ve not had time to keep up with this thread. Were any of the fast cars here… GG levels of fast?
because if they were then I’ll have to make a special effort to get to another show later this year to prove I’m not about to take that shit lying down!!
Does a 0 - 100 time of 2.2 seconds count?
How about a Nordschleife time and a top speed?
It’s top speed is around 215 MPH because downforce, but the Nordschleife time is around 6:57, unfortunately. I NEED TO GO FASTOR
It would make for a good competitor for my Daeva then. That’s 1000bhp but would get destroyed in a drag race, and ever so slightly slower around the track… because it’s RWD only
My car would probably turn to crap if I made it RWD.
@speedemon That is a very impressive time for a front-engine car! I don’t know the dynamics of F-AWD that much, but I think you may obtain better times dialing the downforce a bit.
Pshh, the 950 is one second behind and it’s RWD with no carbon body…
If I went full carbon the car is in the 6:50 range.
remind me to get Daeva finished sometime so we can have a proper Daeva vs 950 showdown. They’ve very similar performance.
@Sillyworld in F-AWD you can go nearly as fast as MR!
On the contrary, I’ve found F-AWD slower in every single occasion.
perhaps you should read what I said again.
Oh sorry should’ve clarified slower than FR.
Oh I see! It depends on how much power you’re playing with and the inherent balance of the car. The body used here (all three of us have used the same one) actually probably suits FR a lot better. Why? It’s inherently rear heavy. So even with a big engine it’s easy to get 50:50 distribution so it’ll tolerate more power. Something more front heavy would struggle and those bodies would benefit from AWD, most likely, especially if they’re pushing 700, 1000+ hp or whatever.
Hey actually what size rear tyres are you using on the 950?
The original car ran 335 395 the newer and faster version is on 335 335
