Automation Detroit Auto Show 2017 [BEST IN SHOW REVEALED]

:astonished: 335 rears what witchcraft is this. Even I’m using 345 I think.

I’ll pm you sometime, this is GG contender for sure.

Hmm… Another car for me to finish, this time Hypera Freya - wouldn’t be as fast as Daeva and 950 (about 800hp in the top variant), but it’s the same body, so could be interesting to compare it too

#Detroit Auto Show 2017 - Best In Show Award
We’re finally at the end of the show. It’s been over three weeks of big releases and stunning vehicles, all of which undoubtedly have kicked 2017 off with a bang. This show saw a number of major trends, including a wide range of new GT coupes, premium sedans and some groundbreaking technological developments in alternative fuels and eco cars. It seems that in these rapidly changing and increasingly difficult times for the automobile, companies are focusing on pioneering luxury and refinement just as much as they on developing greener alternatives to the conventional ICE.

While we’re in no place to start discussing the best cars of the year yet, we can certainly confirm that the Automation automotive industry is alive, kicking and packed with a whole host of brilliant companies that are breaking expectations and innovating at a rate never seen before.

Perhaps then the winner of the Detroit Auto Show 2017 Best in Show award is a perfect summation of this state that the automotive industry is in. It was certainly one of the most unusual vehicles revealed at the show, but there is no denying the impression it left on the automotive press and visitors to the show alike was significant. That car is, of course, the…

#Megacorp Rapier - @thecarlover

A carbon fibre, V12 powered, retro styled luxury speedster - that is one potent concoction. Revealed on day 1 of the show, the 30s theming mixed with the modern engineering makes the Rapier one of the single most brilliant ideas for a car in years. It’s such a shame that Megacorp have implied that it’ll only enter production with enough backers and interest - well, perhaps this award is an indicator of that interest in this car.

The real question we have is what follows such a vehicle, and is there any possibility of another company making a rival to this thoroughly unique creation?

OOC: And with that, that truly is all we have time for. Thank you very much to everyone who participated in this the first auto show I’ve ever hosted, without your input it would not have been the success that is been!

As I’ve mentioned a couple of times, I will be doing more of these throughout the year, though perhaps not quite as many as I previously stated. I hope to get another 2 shows done during the year, but it should be noted that depends on what I’m doing in real life, whether I maintain my interest in this game (it’s kept me here for a year straight already, so that probably won’t change :stuck_out_tongue: ) and how it balances with other competitions and things I want to do.

Either way, my intention is to ensure that everyone gets their chance to display at one of these shows at some point, hence why I’ll be spacing them out. I also need a bit of a break from this, it ended up getting pretty darn time consuming at some points

Anyhow, I really hope that people have enjoyed this as much as I have, if you have ANY suggestions, comments or criticisms of how this was run and done, please say! I want to improve this in any way possible so your feedback is essential

Once again, thanks so much for making this such a good show, and we’ll see you next time!
