Automation Live For Speed Race [RESULTS POSTED]

YOU, SIR. ARE ONE COLD BLOODED HOPE KILLER.

super fun though. started strong, got 3rd place for 1 lap (for a total newb, an achievement)
especially the extra part where we just be as we are. stupid

Waiting for official results…

Damn, I was fucking flying through laps 24-35. Consistency takes the cake though, congrats Squidhead!

I had the consistency part, but it was consistently bad

Shame. I could have had 3rd or 4th if it weren’t for me having to do something else for a minute :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m perfectly happy with the result, especially considering I was using the default setup.

I’m also more than happy with laptime consistency between laps 12 and 37.

When’s the next race?

I really had my time conversion off. I wouldn’t have been available when you ran, but I was going to give it a shot.

That’s cause I exited the pits and got right back on your tail. You got motivated to gun it
And yeah, usually finish high enough by being consistent enough.

And I would have broken the gap open too, if it wasn’t for that meddling front right tyre  . I really need to turn my brake pressure down, but hey, you can only do so much on keyboard.

Also, what happened to you on lap 7?

For me it was cold tyres on lap 2, contact with Cobaltgirl on laps 10 and 17, and the blown tyre on 40.

You probably would, but keeping temp with you caused an slow overheat in tires, so I backed off, decided to play safe, and then caught some traffic.

Really? I only popped it because I’m forced to turn in while full on the brakes because of the keyboard. Temps were green the entire time.

And maybe next weekend if you guys want to.

I was running R2 and my temps went to 86-88 degrees on inner side on rears, so not to have a drift show and pit again I backed off. Like I said, I used to drift in LFS, not race

I won’t be in your way next time. I didn’t know Blue Flag meant come to a complete stop and get off the road. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve had zero problems with blue flagged people. Everybody slowed down and cleared the racing line, was very gentlemanly… and gentlewomanly… I guess is the word.

I was blue flagged probably 15 times and the only one I had contact with was Jak, twice. The second time I got a drive-through penalty exiting of of the far southern turn. After that I just started stopping when a car came up behind me unless it was on the straight…6 seconds is better to lose than 45 seconds driving through the pits for no reason.

i was getting steadily faster when i was catching aaron. even got my best lap time of 1:18.11. tires at optimal temp, exactly 85.

but then a lap later i lost focus and hit the wall, and suspension damage=cant go straight=slower, thus aaron was nowhere to be found again. then i got steadily slower, and never got the tires to optimal temp again, averaging on 79-83C. (now i know how much a 2 degrees difference can make, its pretty big). the toll of a. racing after lacking sleep the day before, b. racing in the middle of the night @3am, c. racing in a dark room so i can’t even see my keyboard properly, takes it’s turn

then i spun out constantly for like every 10 laps. someone even mentioned it afterwards that, he’s impressed about how many times i’ve spun.

all in all

when’s the next race?

sooo what’s the meaning of blue flag again???

It means your resistance is futile :stuck_out_tongue:.

I’d be down for another race, I want revenge…
