Beta Design Posting Thread

Hey devs, I’m wondering if we might be able to see more four door variants of existing coupe bodies. Currently we seem to have far more coupes than sedans, and this would be an easy way to expand the selection. I’m thinking of the 90s in particular, since we have 5 different coupes/hatches (close to 10 with mods) and only 2-3 sedans (one of which has a broken Cd). Four door variants of this Aston body would be great too, would love me some Rapide or Model S

I was wondering if, to unlock in the year 2001, could a Kammback style body be added (sort of like a Mk.1 Focus or Prius 2)

I would like a wagon version of the 10’s compact car. Aston body and Kei car body are looking great!

@phale a 4 Door Rapidesque version is not impossible, although IRL the Rapide is 6% longer with a 10% longer wheelbase so it would most likely not be a variant of the 2,79 version but a new size. No promises though.

Something to take the kids to school in?

To be available in 2 WB sizes, 2.9m & 2.65m

Can be a bit more square if you like

Plus one for the weekend (2.2m wb)

and if the sun’s out

Awesome stuff devs i love that last one. Question any chance we will see any non fgx falcon 2015 style cars?

Oh boi

I absolutely love this latest addition to the growing list of SUV bodies, regardless of size (there are three of them, in fact). It would make an excellent choice for a crossover, in multiple market segments.

Oh, wow. Glad to see all the new bodies! Hopefully we’ll have a new beta out soon so we can start testing 'em, eh? :sunglasses:

These won’t make it into the next big update because of potential balance issues  but rather the next big update after that.

Okay. Will there at least be a few new bodies in the next big update, though(I mean, I don’t even care what kind of bodies, really)?

As another fan of Australian cars, will we ever see a body based on that of a modern Holden Commodore (most likely any generation from the late-90s VT to the current VF)? And if so, will it be available as a ute? There aren’t any such bodies based on modern cars right now.

It’d be awesome to get a Holden HQ based body shape one day too with Monaro, Wagon, Ute, Panel van (Sandman!) and Sedan variants.

There’s already something like that in the workshop. It unfortunately suffers from Pink Body Syndrome.

You mean the Holden HD/HR type one? Because that’s kinda of more 60s than the 70s style and I don’t think it has a panel van variant either. The HQ has that cool 70s GM coke bottle styling that for a two-door variant work well for many GM muscle cars too.

It does have the Sandman body. But I understand what you mean now, I guess when some models are “it’s just another classic car” to me, then I won’t care as much about the difference between a 1968 and 1972 model.

Oh, I think you mean the HT/HD/HG Holden one! How could I have forgotten. Yeah, I suppose that is close but I know I’m being probably being picky but I really like the distinctive affected the angled coke bottle styling would bring. It’s a shame we can’t adjust/deform the current models to bend the sides in and get that shape.

I think u need to google hq hx kingswood very unique shape. The only holden i would actually own

It actually reminds me of the FE series Vauxhall Victor.
No surprise really since they are both GM products from the same era
