BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

Its V12 Turbo. All the power in 7500-9000 RPM range. Reliability is only 35 tho.

Iā€™d say you need at least extra 150hp on that to be remotely competetive-ish in the mid field.

Ok, this just hit me. What if somebody cough coughSomebodyCough builds a car that renders half the field outside the 110% while it can last only about 25 seconds on the track before exploding?

I will igore the troll builds for the 110% time calculation.

Thatā€™s more than enough power for the top 10.

Not according to the endurance race and the first test results.

endurance had way higher budget and it was very specific with only single track. I wouldnā€™t dare to enter 6lap 800hp gas guzzler for the season.

Plus, if you canā€™t even do 20 laps on a tank of fuel you have to have a really quick car.

I only have 301 hp in my v12 and first test showed promising results.

mine barely hits 110% any idea why? is it the drivability issue?

If you have a car on the edge of oversteering and get more rear tire wear thhann front will that result in the handling characteristic changing resulting in considerably lower cornering?

I would guess bad engine and or suspension tuning. Watch killrobs youtube videos on building 55 and 66 brc cars. Helped me a lot to understad what a did wrong in 66.

iā€™m still doing 2:16 on ATTā€¦

whatā€™s the 110% right now?

@koolkei

okay thx. still wonā€™t budge from 2:16, and iā€™m on the 3rd body trial.

kay. have 2 bug report about the brctool that i will report later.

Iā€™ve made about 20 different cars and I entered the fastest of all mine at 2:16. I still canā€™t get one below 2:16 with good stats.

2:14 on my lighter car, however still 2s slower than my heavy high powered car. however i dont think i gonna go for turbo considering how bad the fuel cosumption

eh. 3.2km/l vs 4.3km/l thatā€™s not on my priority to worry about. but turbo halves my drivability.

That was my experience in the 1000km of Hockenheim. Getting the most out of turbo engines only killed the carā€™s characteristics, meaning they tend to favor smaller engines (at least thatā€™s what Iā€™ve found so far).

when you feels good about your car and realize that BRC tools using different calculation on total costā€¦

welp there goes my lap time
