BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

Sounds way better than me. All my car had going for it was being the safest with a near indestructible engine. Which still managed to blow up in one of the races.

I was trying to make the spinning car gif the “header” for the car sheets I make (the second picture) but its an absolute pain importing it into PS, mainly because text boxes lose their mind and I have to re-position them in every frame because selecting all the frames and moving them only works for the first and last frames for some reason.

O well, Here is my untested beauty, Ankomst Automotive’s Lopare (Runner) with Competition Package, painted in our trademarked “Blood of the Competitors” color.

Mad skillz bro.

No, seriously, that’s awesome. I particularly like that, not only does it look awesome, but it looks consistent between the front and back of the car. Probably my favorite so far!

Would I be right in saying the acceleration indicates RR? Also, can I see your suspension graph? :grinning: (Nothing sus )

2.8l V8 flatplane twin turbo with only 360HP output. the turbo kick in quite early(around 4000) which is feels nice though the torque curve bit too flat for me

i might try to raise it to 450 later

Didn’t come out quite that good, but I changed the car sheet to show the suspension graph, it under-steers… until it doesn’t.

Also, consistent between the front and back? You mean the styling? Yeah, I really focused on it!

we’re not too happy with our entry for the BRC 76: after a few test rounds we got a feeling for the car we planned to enter for this. right after we put the engine into another body to see what we could get out of this one, we lost the keys to our workshop. unfortunately, it hadn’t been found until yesterday. thus, here is what we managed to put together for the BRC 76: the Calço Feio!

whyis the shot so far away?

My guess is that they were afraid that the camera might knock it off the stand, and they couldn’t have that with their only entry and no time left to fix this one or make another.

I did have a hunch you’d come to a similar conclusion. It’s weird that it is the case, I almost stumbled onto it, as I always thought a curve up resulted in terrible lap times.

And yes, the styling. It’s gorgeous.

@Absurdist it’s actually almost impossible to get the graph to curve down in the notporsche with RR, at least that’s what i found when running a V8 over 3L.

I don’t think i’ve ever seen a curve quite like your’s though, odd how it curves below and then spikes up, just out of curiosity exactly how much slower would it be with a “normal” looking curve?

i think the time won’t change much, the front camber reduced and MASSIVE back camber.

but the tire is gonna obliterate itself in 10 laps

Probably about a third of a second.

Been away for a while and BOOM some amazing racecars  I must say, during last two tests I did not have much time to be as involved as at the beginning and competition went sky high. Were you all sandbagging or what

Presenting #23 from Smooth Racing

Na 4.0 V8 with 450 hp and not a gram above minimum weight.

Yes I did go crazy at qebrc and surprisingly succeed but for the season I’m aiming for something stable. Looking forward to cards and announcements of first race.

EH!?
well… i’m on 1085.7Kg with a ladder chassis. and steel panels…

on another note though why carbs @Riso?

Because carbs are great man! The engine loves them!

MFI wasn’t as good, is all. Yes, I am over-cooling for reliability.

I’m surprised you fit that body with alot of alu within the budget.

-15 quality is one hell of a thing!

But yeah the car is very heavy so you better not even pretend to put in a small engine. I used a similar car for Quer but with a 5l engine.

Here is my car.

The 1976 Mott Works Retral in BRC racing trim. Powered by a turbocharged 3.5L V6 designed to be durable and fuel efficient. The car runs on sports compound tires and has a great weight distribution at 25F/75R meaning that under hard acceleration its likely this car could do wheelies since there is only about 664lbs over the front axle.
