BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

Ok, so I managed to watch the first race of the season. Congratulations to the people who are at the top. Thanks to the organizers of the event!

In any case, even though my car is barely in top 20, im quite pleased with the result. This is a very power oriented track, and I’m lacking, and still managed to chew tires and chug fuel slowly enough to return from the last position (1st lap crash took me out, and thank god for the pace car).

I’m waiting for more twisty tracks to see how the fuel guzzlers do there.

I see this track doesn’t do favours to my long(ish) gearing… At least I’ll be able to one stop, hopefully that brings me back in top 10.

edit: @Der_Bayer when possible can you please update the first post with new links…

What happened to the .csv that shows every lap done in practice?

Nothing. It is on my PC, I just forgot about it. Will be uploaded in the evening.

@AirJordan I will update the first post in the evening as well.

Eesh. Really going to have to work hard this time. I do not like starting in 39th…

22nd, not too bad but i would prefer the 17th i got in practice.

Great 11th place on the grid! Better than expected beating @Puffster by 0,01 seconds and totally happy with this starting position. But damn, only the sponsors really upset to be just outside the top trump cards. So close…:astonished: only 0,06 seconds to top 10
It´s got to be a great race (please don´t explode)

seems next race rain gonna force me to use two stop since it gonna be lower than about 30% during 60% to 80% of race then spike again to the max. using inters only make it 3 stop :unamused:

Really happy with that actually, my fuel use compared to the other cars seems to be, not too bad. Which is interestingly not the same the first race.

Maybe the straights aren’t long enough for your enormous turbos to spool up and eat all the fuel?

Sweet, first in the practice again with Howler beating me in the Fuel game. Hopefully I will complete the race this time! and should place in the top 5.

Completely overhauled my pit stop calculations and added a LOT of fuel redundancy, I think I am ready to take on Diepholz!

I’m using a full 10% more fuel compared to Betonschleife. And I barely even use 4th Gear on this track. Gonna be interesting, lightweight cars definitely have an edge here. Yet I qualified better than at Betonschleife.

Damn only 6th place, corners are not friendly to me. I hope Norisring or Hockenheim will be better for me
And the car drinks way too much fuel :frowning: I have to change a lot for 80s BRC.

Le Shite! My car is horribly underpowered… I can just hope for some people to crash out (or run out of fuel). My tyres wear too much to justify a 1-stop strategy, and 2-stop+ cost a considerable bit of time.
I am really looking forward to the upcoming race commentary we will do soon

@pyrlix, I wish I could get away with 2 stops, got to do 4 minimum, especially since my fuel consumption is almost a full 1 kg more per lap than at the first track

I’m back! i wasn’t on the forums because i was moving back to canada after ukraine. Gonna watch the new race.

OK, I tried search but didn’t find the actual explanation. What exactly is the % for SC reaction? If a safety car comes out within xx% of a scheduled pit, I will take the pit under safety?

And…my real concern isn’t fuel…it’s the damn tires! Checking off almost 1% per lap…brutal!

I think its if within % of planned pit, you will pit as soon as the pit car comes out and you are coming up on the pit entrance? At least that is how I understood it.
