And you’ll love it
Nah if you devote some time to it you’ll be competitive. This is (except for the endurance) my first BRC and I’m running top 10. Compared to people who use excel sheets to pre-calculate their race that’s not bad
yes. 50% of your result is because of your effort, 20% will be affected by the changes to the BROBOT between the seasons. and 30% is just pure luck. like i did.
first BRC ever, submitted a car for the pre-test. submitted a whole new car for the race without being tested. mostly stayed on the top ten except for the last couple of races
Hi
Well, for me the joy is not in the winning but in the building and fine-tuning
That really isn’t a given. This is my first BRC and I am running in the bottom 10 despite putting in a ton of hours into my car (It was break from Uni). Effort pays a part, but knowledge also does.
Then you will find immense joy in this competition.
Also, you’re new, so don’t freak out, but proper etiquette here is to edit your post instead of double-posting in the thread. Or, you can use multiple quotations to address this quote: [quote=“TastyPimple, post:1585, topic:16817”]

Like so.
As KLinardo says, BRC is basically just what you’ve been looking for it seems. Half the entire competition is just building cars, and even the testing of those and the fine-tuning are just as fun (and as frustrating) as the races themselves.
Although if you’re like me, you spend 50% tuning the car and 4525% deciding how it’s going to look
Or submitting a novelty racer that performs the same as your serious attempt. That was my result with the 1000km race where we could submit two vehicles.
or If you’re me, you will realize your car is Far underweight, end up spending massive amounts [of quality points] on safety to raise the weight before you realize there was a slightly larger variation of the body you chose… But now you don’t want to do anymore because of the amazing aesthetics you put on the light body.
I did do that as well. I initially built a small body for a NA build, but I couldn’t build it competitive enough, so I tried a turbo motor on a whim in the same body. After playing around with the sizing I got into the 110% finally, but by that time it was the night of the deadline, and not wanting my small aesthetically built body to go to waste, I just ran with it.
You can increase weight by changing the shape of your car.
Or change the Weight Distribution by making the trunk small and the bonnet huge.
I bet in BRC 1985-6 my car will be a bit like the 84’ Mustang SVO except instead of a i4 turbo it will have an i6 turbo.
Hello everyone. Just letting you know I am not dead. Been busy with work, college, and a family health emergency.
I am thinking of doing something different this time and doing the videos AFTER the races. That way I can do a comparison of the cars and how they did in the races.
Will this weekend be brc weekend?
When I made this for my first test car it was buggy as hell. Trim wouldn’t save the different weight and it would differ after every revision, so I was forced to stay more conservative with shape.
I assumed you were dead and held a lovely memorial service for you. BACK ZOMBIE, BACK I SAY!
How did you get out of the coffin? isn’t the lid nailed down?
Ah the coffin was not much of a problem. I’m now some sort of ghost litch thing and can go incorporeal at will which allows me to pass though ALL solid objects. The incorporeal at will thing has its obvious benefits and a big downside. Certainly scared the crap out of the guy at the funeral home.
I told you all that containment spell wasn’t strong enough.
