Lower cost and production unit limit are on the table from what I heard.
I was reading wiki and this might be interesting to some of you.
The lap record for 2L cars was set in 1977 by Jacky Ickx in a Porsche 935/2.0: 2:10.4
Six cylinder boxer turbo:
1485 ccm
272kw/370 PS@8000, 279/380@8200.
6:5.1 compression
1.4 bar boost
Air-air intercooler
Car weight 735 kg
100l fuel tank
16" alu rims, front 275/600, rear 350/700

350 rear tyre is impossible in automation, at least for 1977, though we have Porsche body my first try with almost similar power output in V6 is only hit 2:18:xx. probably the suspension setting hurting the time so much but with the amount of oversteer crazinest it just hard to optimize for me at least
not even mentioning how much quality slider i need to spent to deal with reliability
Just to name few exuses: their budget was a bit bigger, they used slicks (not semi like in game) and mr. Ickx had balls made of kevlar… in size of Neptune.
