So I’ve been getting this error every time I open Automation since I tried downloading it.
Even though I’ve installed the latest update, every time I open the window this pops up:
Update for Game found.
Current Build: 0
New Build: 1109
Download now?
Downloading it doesn’t seem to do anything, as I have installed the 1109 patch a few times. It just continues to pop up every time I launch Automation. If I click no, the application closes and doesn’t let me do anything.
I’ve uninstalled / reinstalled 5 times. I have run the cleaner multiple times, and I have downloaded the files from the direct links. I’ve even restarted my computer a few times.
No matter what I do, whenever I open Automation, I get the same error as above.
Am I missing something obvious? I haven’t even been able to sign on to the game and give it a try yet.
After you install the Launcher, are you moving it (i.e. cutting and pasting Automation Launcher.exe) to somewhere else? As that will break it.
If not, after you install the Launcher, can you right click on the Short cut, Properties. And check that the ‘Start In’ field matches the ‘Target’ field.
I uninstalled it again. At my friend’s suggestion, I also uninstalled my graphics drivers. I reinstalled the graphics driver and force upgraded DirectX. I then reinstalled Automation. Not sure if it was the driver, DirectX or reinstalling the game that fixed it.
I now have the game set to build 1109. I can log in and get it going, but the game gets stuck on the loading screen. It sat on the loading screen for 45 minutes, not loading, before I had to quit it and shut down my computer before I went to work earlier.
Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I have also had the same problem, and it was upgrading DirectX what solved it for me, so I guess I’ll leave it here for future reference
