There will be a stock market system for sure, how complex it will be I don’t yet know.
You will be able to run multiple brands like Toyota and Lexus under the same company, they’ll share a lot of things but have somewhat separate reputations with customers, so if you start making bad Toyotas you won’t entirely ruin Lexus.
Coop will always be an option in Multiplayer, like the Anno series you’ll just be able to have additional people join a company, or start their own company. Coop teams would share control over a company, and might want to do things like have one of the players in charge of running the european market and one the US market, although that won’t be enforced by the game.

I’m not sure, you’ll definitely be able to have more than one brand under one company, but how owning two companies would work I’m not sure.[/quote]
I suppose you could make it so that when the player company goes public, it becomes a holding company with a division in it. That division is the old company with the brands that go with that company. If the player then buys out another company, that company becomes a new division within the player’s holding company. That way the player only ever has to control one holding company entity and from a ‘database’ point of view it’s a simple structure of repeating groups.
As far as a controlling stake goes, I prefer the option for a simplified version like in TTDX where the company can’t just be bought out from under you, potentially ruining a good game because you made one silly mistake. That said I certainly wouldn’t object to the option of a more hardcore stock market where you can lose it all at the click of a button. I’d just prefer it to be player choice. If there isn’t a player choice, I’d prefer a simplified version, fun over realism for me.
