We are in the final stretch 51 hrs remaining until the event closes and people will start asking for results XD
Got a good field of cars so far, going to be hard to pick the winner as their are cars that stand above others in some areas and fail in others so we’ll see once I tally the points and begin writing.

…featuring an optional Vanden Weelderigplas boutique clock in the dashboard (simulated as Luxury SatNav)
Does Vanden Weelderigplas actually exist or is it a brand made up by you?
Fictional, of course. “Vanden Plas” = “from the lake”, though I previously had Plas and Plaats confused so I thought it meant “from the place”. “Vanden Weelderigplas” is ungrammatical Dutch/Flemish meaning “from the fancy lake”, originally thought to be “from the fancy place”. Because fancy clocks.
Cool. I sort of like when people add non-car-related stuff to the Autoverse.

1996 VERNIER GALACIA - A RANGE LIKE NO OTHER
GALACIA L - The One To Snatch
It is often said that the simplest solution to a problem is the best one. To the problem of family transport, the new GALACIA L is the simplest solution. A lively yet frugal car, the L is the trim level with an unprecedented value-for-money offering. The modern 1.4 litre A4I engine delivers exceptional levels of performance alongside a staggering 44.5 mpg (WLTP Class 3), which, joined to a bleeding-edge, class-leading, new platform like GALACIA’s, is unrivaled in all aspects. An innovative front-wheel-drive chassis provides solid road holding in tandem with a high degree of manoeuvrability. A practical, yet elegant liftback body encloses a spacious cabin capable of transporting a family of 5 in complete comfort and safety, equipped with comfortable and hard-wearing cloth upholstery. For a complete package priced at an incredible $11000, you may find that GALACIA L is both the simplest, and the best.
GALACIA GSv - The One to Catch
Building off the innovative GALACIA platform, the GSv represents GALACIA’s sporting capabilities engineered to perfection. The flagship 220hp, 24-valve, 3-litre A6I V6 is capable of driving the GALACIA GSv to a top speed beyond 240km/h, and from 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds. Coupled to an advanced four-wheel-drive drivetrain, and supported by Vernier Autosport tuned suspension, GALACIA GSv excels not only in the straights but in every bend too - a proper driver’s car that maintains its composure. The comfortable and supportive leather interior now comes equipped with an all new combined CD/cassette player, as well as an optional sunroof (not shown above). Externally, GALACIA GSv is fitted with a handling-enhancing aerodynamic package - a front lip and rear spoiler - as well as powerful foglamps for challenging road conditions. A set of 17in alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlap DB95 sports tires deliver maximum grip in even the wettest days of the year. Finished in a metallic paint of your choosing, GALACIA GSv is readily available proof that power, prowess and precision are not mutually exclusive from practicality, economy and affordability.
GALACIA GLi - The One to Match
Of course, modern life is not always relaxing. But the GALACIA GLi is more than capable of alleviating the stresses of any modern driver, minimising the negative aspects of a drive while accentuating the positive.
From the moment you approach the car, the GALACIA GLi is a truly uplifting experience; a body formed of clean, smooth lines and sleek shape welcomes you back after a long day. Inside, an exclusive all-leather interior provides the occupants a comforting environment to travel in, with features such as dual-zone climate control and heated seats available to further enhance the positives of a journey. Starting off, the Vernier flagship 220hp 3-litre V6 engine, with an unequivocally high standard of refinement, is mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox and provides a strong and smooth 290Nm of torque at 3000rpm - enough to comfortably overtake on motorways or back roads in the country, with minimal effort. Underneath it all is cutting edge suspension technology, which includes active anti-roll bars, to iron out bumps and gracefully navigate curves with the utmost precision. The GALACIA GLi, in brief terms, demonstrates that elegance and comfort need not be hampered with poor performance, or be the reserve of the rich.
Dope challenge.
Glad that I got in all three of my entries in time - and submitted them at the same time to boot. Using the contemporary E36 3-Series as an analogy, if the base model (ES) is equivalent to a sparsely equipped 320i, and the premium/luxury trim (the LS) echoes a well-specced 325i/328i, then the high-performance range-topper (the SS) is inspired by the M3.
Happy new years everybody.
I’m getting to work on results now and should have results with in a week or (two depending on how life goes this week). One thing I hadn’t thought about is how fast three subs per person escalates the amount of work needed to be done.
I’m happy to report that we have good diversity in the entries, and that they’re all pretty well balanced against each other.
Thanks for all the quality entries.
Clicking here does nothing…
I was feeling a bit sarcastic lastnight …
I’m excited. I wonder how good my body-on-frame V8 MOTUR entries will stack up against their higher tech rivals.
Good news, bad new, weird news.
Good news, power is back on after the snow storm.
Bad news, it wiped my hard drive.
Weird news, it booted up but was only showing stuff from 2016? Then crashed so i used a secondary boot device that i planned on reformating the primary drice… but now everything is back to normal with out me doing anything?
Event related news.
Ive got the piints tallied, i just need to do reviews and pics now.
Any one who was worried theres no BINs @kion5034 failed to name the file correctly but aside from calling them out im letting it slide this time.
Happy new years everybody, provided my hard drive doesnt explode im back on track for a friday release.
