Car Reviewing

Calm down… It’s half way there. Hopefully will be with you by the weekend, however I can’t guarantee anything. I am busy, and arty man Wizzy is busy with the AutomationHub beta :stuck_out_tongue:

No problem
Take your time and keep up the good work

Any news?

I am equally curious!

Yeah, I should keep you more informed. Don’t worry, it is still happening. Last week there was a change of plan as to how it would be done, but ever since then I haven’t had the time to continue work on it with all these final exams.

Hopefully I can get a fair deal done this weekend (as the exams are very almost at an end) and get it done by the end of next week. This also depends on Wizzy though, as it is this week when AutomationHub is supposed to be going up, so it might not happen. I still keep my promise of getting to you before Christmas

We try to finish AutomationHub in the next week, since the programmers’ been quite ill. He’s almsot better now. In the mean time I can work on the reviews when the texts are done

The new cheap performance hatch by Efendi should be here, I’ll send the car to cheeseman

Well, I already send some stuff in over 2 months ago and still nothing. I understand that it is no obligation for them to do reviews within a certain amount of time, but I would have hoped for a review within a month or so max.

Mmm… I know. I have pushed my team doing reviews a few times now, but you are right, not many reviews have arrived. I reckon a final push.

Sorry about the standard reviews not arriving.

The thing to remember about these reviews is time. Contributors on this site are doing these things in their free time. It is not their job to do them. As with anything on the internet, real life should and does come first. When time permits, other things can get done. Some weeks it might allow 20 hours, other weeks might allow none at all. Be appreciative of what you see, and just know more will come with time. This applies to all user created content including 3D models, tracks, photoshops, reviews, and anything else you might see people trying to do. Be patient!

This. I couldn’t agree more. Just be patient and wait for the outcomes, it will be worth the waiting. If one is passionate about what they do, then they will do it whenever they can, which in return means that when it looks like they’re not doing it, they don’t have time for it momentarily but will get back to it as soon as their time allows.

Will they be released early Jan? I have another round up almost ready to be released, (most likely early - mid January due to the holiday break). If the next set of reviews will be released about then, I will hold mine back so there is a steady stream of reviews. If there is still a bit to wait, I will release mine sooner.

I believe Cheeseman is working on he texts currently. After he has those finished I can finish up my design so I can make the texts align more properly in the design.
I expect to finish that (if cheeseman is done within 2 days) between christmas and new year.

Ok, I will hold my reviews until mid-late January.
But look what I found, the back issue from September! (I’ve been slack on these because my notebook has been away for repairs for 3 months)

Nice work as usual Utopian!

Nice work! But three months man? Thats a really long time!

What is the current situation of the urban/compacts comparison?

Hello everyone! A few of updates for you all

First of all, the mega small car comparison is on its way! It mainly depends on Bart, but you can expect to see it in a few days, tops.

Secondly, I am only going to do comparisons as of now. The others shall be doing the car (all on its own) reviews.

Speaking of “others”… Thirdly, who wants to join the team?

Fourthly, the comparison reviews will be posted on AutomationHub first. They will be posted on here later. The big reviews will be on AutomationHub the first day of every month, and the category changes every month. There will also be a twin test for mid-month, where only the best will be reviewed. More info on these soon.

And finally, you can send in cars with a tech year up to 2015 now, but remember, all cars must be now intended for the 2015 market, so the car’s year of creation must be reasonably close to the date, not the 90s :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy New Year 2015 to you all!

Thanks for the update!

I’d like to join the team! What would I need to join?
