Car Reviewing

Yes. The engine’s characteristic is tuned for low RPMs because i wanted big low-RPM torque and elasticity. Even if i’d rev the engine out it would make its max. power at 5200RPM (811hp). So to really use that maximum power, you’d need to rev it to like 6000RPM but then the Forged pistons would reduce MTBF, and the reliability would go down to 77.8 (as opposed to 91.8 where it’s now). So i would only gain 2hp for a cost of 14 points in reliability… Well, no thanks. And before you all start saying “Just install lightweight forged pistons for higher RPMs”, the lightweight forged pistons would just burst by virtue of the 1750Nm this engine produces.

I have been looking through the premium cars for the comparison and discovered that quite a few either have issues. Those who sent cars in that I have encountered issues with have until 18:00 UTC tomorrow to get the revisions sent in, otherwise your entry will no longer be valid. Some have already got back to me,

This also brings me to this:
[ul]- As of now, the first car you send in is the only one you send in and the only one I will accept. If your car doesn’t meet a regulation, I am not going to allow you to revise the car.

 • Please, please, please, send in private mods. I will reply to those who forget to attach these things to the post, but please try and get it on there first time round[/ul]

I made a minor adjustment to the review because I made a miscalculation in one of the categories. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Sigh… I didn’t make it in time :frowning:

All hope is not lost my friend! I am still waiting on two people, so if I don’t get a response then you might get in.

Do you modified the page of the Premium comparison?

Because you forget to put me in the list of members that I can’t participate in the Premium comparison (I participed in the hot hatchback and hatchback comparison).

Not to much to worry about there, but I have added you on now :stuck_out_tongue:

I still haven’t received a reply from 1 person (and there is only 1 hour left), so there is still hope for NormanVauxhall who sent in his car just after entries were closed, but don’t go getting your hopes up!

All of you are playing with mah feeling… XD

Broken link lel
Hot hatch review coming out this month or is it officially delayed until march?

Witha bit of luck later today or else tomorrow.

Oh… MY… GOD!

Yep, it is finally here. Sorry about the umpteen million delays

Have a read! Click on that cover!

Hope you like it!

Very nice, some very tight competition in this review, ill take 5th place any day. My car accomplished what i designed it for, to haul ass without hauling your ass to the bank with fuel. All of these cars were so close.

I am a bit surprised that i just checked this , and the difference between a performance intake and standard is 700 dollars…good lord.

There is also an error in the review my car(hawker) is listed as 4 star reliabllity in that section and listed as best, while in the bottom section listing of all the cars, i get 2 stars there.

I don’t see a problem? Try refreshing the PDF with Ctrl+F5. It mostly fixes issues on AutomationHub xD.

Anyway, how the CTRL+F5 fixes stuff for real, indeed it was a little mistake I made! Fixed!

Shh, the magic keys only work 25% of the time.

Nice work! Although because you are reviewing so many cars, sometimes it is hard to keep track of which car is which. Maybe its just because RM Rigel isn’t as recognisable as say Honda Civic Type R in my mind

I’m shocked no one else made V8!

I have to admit getting safety option notch higher would have been good idea, I certainly had funds to spare and extra weight wouldn’t completely ruin performance (I’ll still take 3 stars though). Another mistake I made is putting high flow cat on it which doesn’t really do anything other than begin more expensive and insignificantly lighter than regular three way. Oh well I was doing it in a hurry and I’m in no position to complain about results  .

One thing though, avoid featuring winner (alone) on the cover in future, it’s bit of a spoiler.

Man I guess now I’ll have to put some effort into it’s page on AutomatonHub.

Well, to me a v8 makes no sense in this car honestly, no low rpm power. But being unique is always a nice selling/review point.

It was such hard choice to put a turbo on mine and ruin the power band but i wanted more mid range power.

Seems that I improved the comfort/sport suspension ratio in my model!

By no means did I know this upfront. I learned later on that it was this way. I just randomly pick a car to put on the cover and then when I finished the Overall page with all the stars and who came first, second etc. I found out that your RM Rigel was that car! :stuck_out_tongue:

In the first one, I picked the Baltazar, which won, because I liked its design to be on the frontpage. Since I like this new Baltazar Quark a lot too in design, but he already made it to the frontpage, I had to pick a different one xD

Maybe I should become some future predictor or something.

Got 8th place… Let me quote James May. “oh cock”.
